Camping Virgen Del Mar

This campsite doesn't deserve even one star, but I only gave it one because I stayed for one night (11/13/25, check-in, 11/14/25). The campsite was 23 euros, but they charged me 30 euros. I asked the staff why, and they told me to pay the 30 euros and confirm the 7 euros with the owner the next morning. I checked with the owner that morning, and she said it was the ACSI card discount. However, the owner charged me another 30 euros. Since I was traveling, I only realized the duplicate charge after traveling 104 km. After returning, I confirmed the details with the owner and the staff and requested a cancellation of the 30 euros. The owner should have offered a sincere apology, but she was rude to me because I was a foreigner who couldn't communicate well. This behavior is unforgivable. Please take note if you plan to use this campsite.

The reception was friendly but professional. The location right on the coast is excellent. The restrooms are in need of renovation. The restaurant is okay. It's easily accessible by bus (daytime only) or taxi to Santander. The price/quality ratio with the ACSI discount card is good. I wouldn't pay the regular price for it.

We found the campsite quite expensive for a small spot, it's no more than a strip, on September 23 it was still 38 euros!
