Camping Izarpe

Stayed here for 2 nights. Note: the pool is closed from September onwards. Had a nice meal in the restaurant with good prices; a glass of wine was 2.10 euros. Showers were fine, adjustable hot/cold, good water pressure. We cycled to Pamplona on the Stella e-bike; the outward journey was easy, the return a bit harder, but doable. Beautiful surroundings around the campsite. Friendly staff.

Decent campsite, but I expected better given the high rating. The sanitary facilities upstairs are a sort of makeshift container; dirty, water fills up from the shower, and there is a broken toilet seat. Downstairs is better, though the cubicles are cramped. Nice little shop. On weekends, it is difficult to get to the campervan parking area because the parking lot is full. Many pitches are very cramped; our awning was partly on the pitch next to ours, which was fortunately allowed. The pool is okay for cooling off.

We were actually only going to stay here for one night, but ended up staying three. It is a very nice campsite with beautiful and clean sanitary facilities and a very nice swimming pool. And friendly staff. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely come back.
