Älvdalens Camping

The owner or an employee of the campsite apparently had a bad day yesterday. I asked if I could stay one night and what it would cost for one person with a camper. That would be 350 kronen, and that in the off-season. While I was thinking about it, he asked, "Are you staying or leaving?" I left immediately. I didn't feel welcome there.

We were there in August. The school holidays were over, so it was very quiet and very spacious. A friendly welcome from the manager. We were able to choose a spot. The sanitary facilities were in good order and clean. All amenities were available for a camper…

Very friendly welcome, although the receptionist indicated he wanted to charge us more due to the 5-1 loss at the World Cup 😉. We were assigned a pitch but were allowed to come back if we found a better alternative. Spacious pitches. At the edge of the forest there are a number of quite narrow but long pitches. Clean sanitary facilities. Good Wi-Fi. Within short walking distance of 2 supermarkets.
