Great spot, stayed one night, just managed to see the Northern Lights. And yes, the fish smokehouse fired up nicely in the morning! You know that when you spend the night there. I don't understand why people complain about it... I suspect they're the new generation of campers... you see them more and more often on the road. It's a shame.

We spent three wonderfully quiet, flat nights here. We left in a hurry on the third morning because the smokehouse across the street was working early :) Enjoyed a delicious lunch buffet at Café Bönan. Highly recommended! The restrooms were also okay. We had a lovely bike ride to Hillevik and Gavle. Gavle has a beautiful city park, but it wasn't anything special. We did have a delicious Italian meal at Basta.

Great place to stay. Just around the corner is an excellent spot for food and drinks. The ice cream is especially delicious. The fish smokehouse a little further down the road is only open on Thursdays, which was a shame.
