Very peaceful location high in the mountains. We arrived September 2020 and caught a blizzard and were very fortunate to find a snow plough to clear the road back down for us.

Beautiful place. Great for hiking. Only one overnight stay is permitted. There will be checks, and you will be turned away if you don't comply! No camping, no caravans, and no tents allowed. Cost: CHF 20, payable at the machine with 4 x CHF 5 coins only.

Top location! No amenities. The parking meter is at the exit, still bring 20 fr in coins. The first parking space is at the glacial lake, followed by two more parking spaces. There is plenty of room, but on Saturday the last parking lot was quite full. You can hike from here to the mountain hut on top.
