Camping Rinerlodge

Basic campsite, not comparable to the (always luxurious) winter campsites in Austria or Italy. However: Clean sanitary facilities, super friendly people, right opposite the Rinerhorn lift. Public transport next to the campsite, bus runs every 15 minutes (to Jakobshorn and Parsenn), train once an hour. We paid 65 euros per night, 2 people, electricity included. Quite typical for a winter campsite. Buying ski passes through the campsite saves 15%.

We were here at the end of June. The Rinerhorn and Jakobshorn weren't open yet. There's plenty of other hiking to be done. We stayed by the water. Beautiful spot, but the water really rushes past you. You really have to raise your voice to hear each other. Earplugs at night. On the other side, a long campsite, you're parked next to a fence along the railway line. The train doesn't run often and is relatively quiet. The guest card takes you to Davos and through the valley for free and offers other discounts.

We stood right on the river, what a wonderful sound of the rushing water all day long. About 8 km from Davos but free bus/train, station is directly in front of the campsite, and discounts on mountain railways, we went with the Schatzalpbahn for half the price. Camping sanitary facilities are simple but clean. We paid Sfr118 for 2 nights, 2 people and 1 dog.
