This wandering Scotsman came about this place by chance. I found the staff delightful welcoming and the log fire was a God send. The food was excellent I should know I'm a Chef to trade. If I have time on the way home I will call in and spend a night in bed and breakfast. The pub has a rich history and was a smugglers pub and has a resident Ghost. Anyone weary of travelling will find this a gem to rest relax. Sparkys Adventures.

November 2023 October 2023 I arrived late on the ferry from Dunkirk and found free seats here and enjoyed a cool cider in the pub.
