Experience: Janet & Alan were super helpful, got my van stuck in some mud and Alan came to the rescue - we were able to get it out! The field is pretty and lovely having the animals around. Contact: Very communicative hosts, they kept in contact and made sure everything was okay!

Experience: Cute little spot all to ourselves! Janet & Ian are lovely and we bought some of their fresh geese eggs. Defo returning!

Information

On the edge of the Peak District National Park, near the vibrant market town of Holmfirth and nestled in the Holme Valley up a quiet lane, is our 1.5 acre field for your exclusive use. This stunning location comes with no facilities (no loo, water or electricity) so you do need to be completely self-sufficient. Pitch up in any part of the field during dry weather or on the hard standing when it's wet. The field adjoins our home and small holding where we have chickens, ducks and geese in a completely fenced off paddock which adds interest to the charm of our beautiful location. Please note that the field is grazed by sheep outside the camping season. Pets are very welcome to enjoy the whole of field (dog poo bin provided) but please be mindful of our birds. We are in the heart of spectacular walking and biking/mountain biking countryside but also close enough to local amenities (pub 10 mins walk away) to make your stay pleasant and relaxing. Holmfirth is just a 10 min drive away (also bus services run from the bottom of the lane) and has numerous restaurants, artisan cafes, shops etc. The area is also home to a vineyard and is the location for the filming of the TV series ‘Last of the Summer Wine’ Fresh free-range eggs are available daily, plus our own home-grown fresh fruit & vegetables when in season. Our Butterley Bees’ Wildflower honey is also on sale from late August onwards (while stocks last!) We provide a combination padlock for the gate to the field. We leave you in peace to enjoy your break, however if you need help please do get in touch.
