Wrong. No on street parking here, there is parking on the prom but it's £20 per night. Don't bother, there are no facilities, it's just the council trying to make a quick buck. there may be parking in Morrisons after 6pm. I don't know how the other reviewer managed to cycle through the tunnel to Liverpool, definitely no push bikes allowed but both ferries are now open. Also a good rail service to Liverpool that runs until Midnight.

just free parking in the street, nice and quiet and great environment both for beach fun and visiting the city. at the moment the first ferry is not used and you have to cycle 2 km further to Woodside ferry. like me you can also cycle through the queensway tunnel. that's just as far.

street near the boulevard - shops, restaurants at 100 m - train station to Liverpool at 250 m - (Beatles, Liverpool museum, UNESCO port area) - cycling to Liverpool is fine with ferry - center 2 km
