Stayed January 2020. No other motorhomes. Parking is by the entrance gate but it is ok to park in the large open area. It is only used in September for a very big fair 200k+ visitors? Railway line nearby but not a problem with noise. Very quiet at night. No services but shop and Boulougerie in small village. Convenient stop just off main route out of Grenoble.

Stayed January 2020. Quiet night. Small community centre on site so sometimes parking is full!!! 4 parking spots but room for 2 more in parking. Lovely town well worth the 30 min walk. There is a local but stop at the gate also which seems to run quite frequently.

Stayed for one night January 2020. Only one there and very quiet. The water is available so a good stop in Winter. The town is good with a good "high street" of shops and supermarket Lidl. Major upgrade of main road through town at this time.

Stayed January 2020 and the water was closed but waste points were available. Good parking in 3 bays behind the service point but there is space around the carpark. Quiet at night but may be woken by Cockrals in adjacent field. Lovely town adjacent down by the river with a good restaurant by the bridge. Good walking/cycling via viaduct.

January 2020 last stayed.Need some work to level the motorhome as sloping site. No electric but running water from the service point and waste ok. Great for hiking even in winter as lots of marked paths. Stayed 3 nights and was free for me.

Have used the parking several times over the last few years. This last time early January 2020. The parking is normally quiet during the week and lots of spaces and electric points free, however please note that normally from Friday eve to Mon morning the place is full to overflowing as the Italians arrive for the w/e then there is not much space. €50 for 5 nights and Visa card worked ok.

Stayed overnight early January 2020 and really nice stop with views and walks around the village. Please note the services were taped off and fully closed down for the winter. No water or waste allowed. The church bells rang between 7am and 10pm so a very peaceful night stop.

Great views but on night we stopped mid Sep the church bells rang on the hr and half hr not once but a second time at 2 min past which was very annoying. So marked it down 2 stars.

Stayed overnight here a few years ago and had a quiet peaceful night on the level carpark. Used the services again a few days ago and all is well. The service station is a few meters up the road and is easy to use space wise and the water is free. The system was nicely maintained. There is a bar opposite the parking but not a lot else in the village. It is easy to drive to off the N164 EXIT.

Great place to spend the night. Nice walks around the area. Water is available from a tap by the fishermans quay in an emergency in a can.
Sitecode: 78687
Busy car park during the day with the school and museum adjacent. Gravel and dusty but level. Convenient for cycling into Vanne 30 min minutes along roads or nice longer route back along the coast.

Good stop and quiet. Nice big store for shopping. Water tap on Borne was broken so no water when we visited 15 Sep.
Sitecode: 25457
Nice aire next to sports complex and lake with lovely walks around the village and beyond. Far enough from the road to not be bothered by limited trafic. The service point is only suitable for grey drive over and there is a tap but not treaded. The drain in the service point is not suitable for "black waste" however the toilet adjacent is open. Some shade if needed and the village is ok. We were going to stay overnight but due to a wedding party in a nearby hall decided to move on.

Stayed overnight on Sep 11which was quiet with 2 other vans. There is not much of a view as stated but as we left in the morning men arrived with a JCB and started to remove the wire fence and hedging from around the site so could be an improvement to be seen shortly. Further update would be nice to have with new photos. If the view improves I would mark up the score as a nice spot on the river to stay a night.

Popped in to use free services. Easy to find and get to on the edge of a quite nice village. All worked ok but water was "a bit slow". I would suggest a nice place to overnight.

Even in September the parking area was full of cars during the morning. Maybe quiet at night if empty of cars. Parking is available down at the harbour in a large area during the day but not at night. This carpark is best got to from the south of the river via the road to Herbignac as the roads through the town are best avoided. Nice restaurant (Sara B) adjacent to this parking. Their Fish and Chips special well worth a try.

Parked for 24 hours here 9 Sep and managed to get the spot on the end so had a good view of the marina. Did not find it noisy at night but during the daytime the main road opposite was very busy. The town is not much and to my mind the whole place seems very tired. The service point on the other side is very busy in the mornings and can be a bit tight to get to easily. However a conv stop and a good point to cycle from on the canals.

Quiet overnight but when we stopped Sep 8 the water had been turned off.
Sitecode: 22931
As previously said nice place to stay but unfurtunately when we stopped overnight on Sep 7 the "mobile disco car" arrived at 02.00 for an hour or so, so rather spoilt our visit.

Visited for service beginning of Sep 2019 and the parking is now closed as building works have taken over the parking area. The service point is still usable.

Further to my visit in Oct 2018 I did manage to stay overnight Sep 2019 as it was a convenient first stop out of St Malo and as I reasoned previously it would be a quiet place to stop overnight. I was not disappointed.

Get there early to get a spot. It was empty when we arrived at 1pm. Quiet at night. Think the service point could do with a clean and upgrade but it is free so cannot really complain. Bakery across the street. Really nice town to visit.

Just to confirm that the electricity is no longer available as disconnected. I spoke to the Marie and the village can no longer afford to offer the service but they still look forward to seeing visitors. I also asked them to empty the rubbish bin as it was full to overflowing.

Useful stop to/from St Malo docks. Nice village to wonder around. Sunny spot but on a slope so levelling required. Road quite busy during day but suspect quiet at night but did not stay to find out.
Sitecode: 10415
Came for lunch and to check out as passing by. €1 charged by owner who arrives as if by magic!!!! very soon after you have parked. Nice views but places are not that big and would be difficult to level as very much on a slope.
Sitecode: 3973
The service point parking is only suitable for small vans but there are 2 parking areas on the far side of the lake with access to nice walking routes. Overnight parking is tolerated. The one in the far corner by the small bridge has nicer views but barking dogs all day and night. The one in the middle is very quiet with light near by. Lovely fresh drinking water can be found from a pump by the village centre. A bar/cafe is open most days and some evenings especially in the summer at the lake. Well worth a visit this one. A small shop next to the service point too.

We were there 18 September and only one parked for the night. A few cars do drive past during the day but not at night. Super spot for village and walks in the hills or along the valley. The church bells did not ring all night but one or two times only which we found odd!!!
Sitecode: 1680
New Aire and maybe services due to open other side of football pitch Spring 2018 we were told by local. Photo added.
Sitecode: 1467
Nice stop but just to let you know "the adjacent church bells RING ALL NIGHT" and sometimes twice on the hr.
Sitecode: 1898
Parked here for 1 week in January 2018. Good site but a long walk for the ski-ing Gondola. Good walks in the hillsand nice town. There is a new "Borne" which takes only Credit/Debit card (SHOW TICKET ON WINDSCREEN). €4 for 24hr parking - €2 for water (high pressure) and need connector adaptor - €2 for 1 hr electricity.Have added photo.
Sitecode: 22661
The bottom site is much better with great views. We stayed end of December 17 and the water spout was still working. There is a toilet in the adjacent building which was open. Really nice town with views from the ramparts towards the Pyrenees.
Sitecode: 964
The parking by the marina is fine as the trains do not run at night. It is shaded when hot from the trees. The new parking area over the river can be closed when extra parking is required in the village for Fete's etc. Please see new photo. There are no services at this new parking but a better view of the river and closer to the restaurants/bars.
Sitecode: 21877
Quiet at night. Sloping tarmac so levelers required. Easy access to cycle route along river/canal. Not much in village bar/small shop with bread.
Sitecode: 14222
Nice quiet site next to cycle path. Lovely small village but no amenities.
Sitecode: 49518
Nice town with market on a Saturday morning. Good parking area and quiet at night. Good free services but no electric. The old aire in the town is now closed.SPA supermarket close to aire.
Sitecode: 48021
Very quiet overnight. Nothing in village but nice walks around area. Nearest service at Branne.Beautiful views.Picnic tables available and shade under trees.Easy access.
Sitecode: 21253
Visited 2nd July 2016. No facilities available as building works on site. Quiet overnight parking available in car park adjacent.
Sitecode: 18572
Very large sloping parking place overlooking lake. Good walking and also bar/restaurant in season.Did not stay but think it would be quiet at night when businesses close.
Sitecode: 1654
Slightly sloping ground. Busy road during the day. Borne is broken May 2016 so no water or washing cassette toilet. Better and quiet parking off road next to small village at Ecuras 2 km further East along D699. Nice view over garden and childrens play area opposite.Good walks in area and cycling.
Sitecode: 21268
Large parking area close to the town center. Good restaurants and services also. Nice park and lake near to walk around.Did not stay overnight but I think it would be quiet.
Sitecode: 46540
Good stopping place.Quiet at night. Train line adjacent but only local trains so not a problem. Good cycle into Angouleme about 35 minutes.See the start of a river and fish for trout at the nearby fish farm.Nice walking. Free water.
Sitecode: 13690
Stayed overnight Sep 15. Very quiet with one light by the entrance. No electric but the water and services are free. Small village with bakery and restaurant.
