We arrived for one night, but soon decided to stay another. And if we hadn't had to catch the boat today, we would have booked an extra night. Pure tranquility; friendly people, both owners and guests. Not modern, but clean and everything is there.

It is a fine campsite in itself, only there are roadworks on the road near the campsite. But you won't be bothered by that if you leave before 7:00.

Discharged grey water - went perfectly fine. And always good for a friendly chat while you're waiting.

We were pleasantly surprised by the nice spot with a small terrace and a table + 2 chairs. And finally, a clear waste separation point a little further down the road. Short bike ride to the rock carvings - well worth it. Payment simply by debit card, 180 SEK.

Great place to stay for a night. This Ställplats has been in operation since March 2026. Everything has been newly laid out. The description is correct (trash can) and the first photo is correct, but the second one does not belong to this spot (!?) We had a nice chat with owner Joli.

Truly a lovely campsite with peace and quiet and great sanitary facilities. I thought this place was brand new, everything looked so good, but it turned out to be just very neatly maintained. Check-in and check-out were done on a small screen, but the owner soon came over for a friendly chat. Franeker is within cycling distance, but Monday isn't the most convenient day to look around there. So we have to go again, and definitely stay in Kiesterzijl again.

A wonderfully quiet campsite on a quiet road, but the season had clearly not started yet. We arrived on March 21st, and the hospitality facilities don't open until Easter. So there is still plenty of time to get the shower and the light in the toilet sorted out. Medemblik, within cycling distance, was a nice, picturesque outing. On Sunday morning, we took a walk through the tranquil old center of Opperdoes. All in all, no regrets about our stay.
