A warm welcome at this beautiful place. It is an old slate mine, where the original 200-year-old cottages create a stunning atmosphere. There is a canteen with a terrace. For the discerning Dutch visitor, a neat new toilet building has been constructed. The large pitches with many birds complete the picture.

We haven't been there, it all sounds very nice, but I read on the website that the maximum height of the camper is 2.20 meters and the maximum length is 6 meters.

We stayed 10 days at this lovely place. It is a community of owner + girlfriend and volunteers who help to improve the complex. The atmosphere feels very good. They also have 3 Airbnb places. You can take the bus to the Ferry, which drops you off in the center of Lisbon. You arrive at the place via a dead end street with sheds. When you leave the farm at the front you enter the old Montijo with many possibilities.

After a long day of driving you look for a place to stay overnight and there is always something. Fantastic that such a small community is prepared to invest in the construction of a camper place, with all facilities, even working electricity. Quiet place by a river.

beautiful and quiet place. water and electricity work simply by pressing the button with the corresponding number, without paying for an hour etc.

We were warmly welcomed. It was a somewhat bare campsite due to the time of year. Not your average camper campsite, lots of Spaniards, good atmosphere. Close to a salt lake where there is a lot to see for bird lovers, including unusual vegetation. What stands out in our opinion is the forest on the hill near the campsite. It's like a huge beautiful garden, many types of plants, as many as 10 orchids. The genet cat is there. The sauna was also wonderful.

Arrived on Saturday evening, had a lovely stay on Sunday, on Monday morning at half past eight we were ordered by the police to move to the place downstairs. On school days, parents take their children to school by car and then the campers take up too many spaces. Beautiful, slightly too touristy town. Very nice small museum, English speaking owner who shows the life of a resident around 1930.

We have been here for 9 days and had a great time. You can enjoy walking and cycling here, very spacious places where you really experience nature. (oriole, bee-eater, nightingale, serpent eagle, hoopoe, a fox and lots of bunnies) When the heat overwhelms you, take a lovely dip in the cool swimming pool. Nice walk to Ayora, a city with a beautiful old church and castle and friendly residents. Hospitable and friendly owners!
