On arrival we were surprised by a closed barrier. No camper in sight on site. In the telephone conversation with a lady, my question (in English) whether a place was available was answered with 'no'. Furthermore, madam switched to Italian, and that in a rather unpleasant tone. The call was cut off. Maybe there was miscommunication but it was a letdown.

At the entrance there is a large, fairly new sign, with the clear text; 'overnight stay prohibited'. So we went looking for another place.
