There are very few campsites like this left. Just drive up and find a spot for your camper yourself. At the entrance, there are instructions on how to park the camper; that's the only rule! Immediately to the right are spots with electricity; the owner will hook you up. A wonderfully large site where the center is a flower meadow where no one is allowed to park. This gives an enormous sense of space. There is indeed nothing else around, but hey, in return you get immense silence. And all that for 34 euros.

Great campsite! I had emailed to ask if they had availability from April 25th to 29th. "No problem, you are welcome," was the reply. Upon arrival at reception, a friendly welcome; Dad pointed out a spot from his bike.........., right by the lake with an unobstructed view! Beautiful! The showers are free (so included in the price) and work with a push button. Adjusting the water temperature requires finesse....either scalding hot or ice cold. It is precision work. Bring toilet paper.

nice and quiet campsite with very friendly owners. Spacious, not demarcated places. As instructed by the owner, you can find ample space anywhere. Lots to do in the area by bike: Giethoorn, Steenwijk, Blokzijl, Vollenhove, Sint Jansklooster (natural monuments Weerribben/Wieden with boat but Giethoorn or Blokzijl), Meppel. Campsite neat and clean, great!

This is mainly a large trailer and chalet park, but the camper pitches are very neatly laid out, on the edge of the site and very quiet! Walk around the creek and within walking distance of the Flood Museum. Very worthwhile. Sanitary facilities very neatly maintained. Friendly welcome and lots of information about the area. Cycling and walking in the area. Top!
