Staying at this campsite is fine. Large with many seasonal pitches, but very spacious transient camper pitches on a gravel surface. Sanitary facilities with an old and a new section; the latter is certainly nice, neat, and clean. Beautiful view of the surrounding hills. Great area for walking and cycling, but a day trip to the city is also easily done by train (Manchester/Sheffield). The downside is the road alongside; busy during the day, though reasonably quiet at night; hence 4 stars.

A great campsite with excellent heated restrooms. A must-have, as it can get cold at night during the early and late season. We were there at the end of October, with temperatures of 3 degrees Celsius. We were just passing through but stayed an extra day. We'll definitely keep this campsite in mind, and perhaps even for a longer stay. They also provided excellent additional services, such as ordering bread, snacks, and drinks. Excellent value for money.

3 stars because spacious pitches for larger campers, where you can also use the awning, are limited. We only found larger pitches on "terrace 2." Uncomfortable sanitary facilities, especially when crowded; all-inclusive cabins with a toilet, sink, and shower in one are inefficient. Pricey, but beautiful grounds. The restaurant and swimming pool were already closed (end of October). The park near the monastery with its many beautiful waterfalls is well worth a visit.

Not a bad site. Large pitches, flat, and shady. I doubt this site gets muddy quickly in heavy rain. The swimming pool looked unused when we were there (mid-October). The sanitary facilities were reasonable and clean. Very suitable for a stopover. A longer stay is certainly possible, but although Almagro is a nice town, we don't think there's much to do in the immediate area. But we didn't really explore that, so perhaps that's not the case.

The location overlooking Bilbao is fantastic. But that's about it. There are no amenities other than electricity, except for two toilets (male and female) for which a key is required (at reception). The pitches are narrow, but not long enough. Reservations are not possible, but you should call the morning of the day. Booking guests is a disaster, everything is done manually, unnecessarily complicated; a lot of hassle. It's a shame, there's more potential...

If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the place to be. It's small-scale, so the owners can fully focus on your guests. Everything is perfect: spacious pitches, beautiful views, and excellent sanitary facilities. We visited Malaga from here, cycling to the village (3 km) and then taking the bus. Don't have a bike or don't feel like taking the bus? Use the rental car; it's all possible. By far the best campervan site so far during our tour of Spain and Portugal.

If you're expecting luxury at a campervan site, don't come. But if you enjoy improvisation and creativity, this is perfect. Young people are renovating an old (dilapidated) farmhouse. It's a multi-year project, but they're doing it with enthusiasm. They've already installed two outdoor toilets and three showers. Showers still don't have hot water for now. It's a great base for taking the ferry to Lisbon, which is accessible by bus or bike.

You pay too much for what you get, the bathroom facilities are okay but nothing special. Great for visiting Porto. Excellent metro connection to Porto, which is easily accessible by bus or bike. Angeiras itself isn't great.

Basic but good and with a good heart. The owner is always present and will help you with anything you need. The road next to it is noisy, but at night it's very manageable. The "swimming pool" is actually nothing more than a large, shallow bathtub filled with cold water. It might be refreshing on hot summer days. Cycling (e-bike) to Santiago (7 km) is easily doable. Cycling in the area is also enjoyable, as it often coincides with the Camino de Santiago.

We were passing through here for one night. This campsite is certainly adequate for that, as everything is well-organized. I can't rate this campsite for longer stays. It's a long strip of land between the fields. There's now a second field, but it's still relatively bare. Due to possible wind and/or shade, it's better to pitch on the first field (for now).

Simplicity and quality go hand in hand. That's what we found at this campsite. We were torn between the higher section and the section along the river; both have advantages, the choice is a personal one. Clean, limited hot water available at the taps, but it is available. The restaurant is simple but good enough and inexpensive. You'll want for nothing at this campsite, and all at a reasonable price. The surrounding area is beautiful and a real must-see.

A lot of money for (too) cramped pitches. We were given five options after declining the first (reserved) pitch. We were eventually referred to the "separate" camper field outside the campsite itself, with limited restroom facilities. They simply didn't take the camper size into account when booking, even though I had specified the size. There are some larger pitches, but they are limited. If you have a camper over 7m, think twice before you go there...

Good value for money, so it's perfect as a stopover campsite. The grounds were very muddy, and some pitches were even inaccessible. This also affected the toilet facilities, which became filthy. You can't control the weather and therefore the mud, but you can control the cleanliness. It remained subpar under the circumstances. We probably didn't see this campsite at its best, and therefore weren't very enthusiastic about it (apart from the price).

Contrary to some reviews, we found the sanitary facilities a bit disappointing. The restroom building in the center of the grounds has an old and new section. The new section was okay, the old section smelled of exhaust fumes. Neither was particularly clean. The campsite is "tidy." The staff was excellent. Therefore, a narrow pass mark, as the price-quality ratio leaves much to be desired. The campsite is riding on the high rates of other campsites in the Paris area.

Tomorrow we leave again after a three-day stay at this small-scale campsite. The campsite has good and clean sanitary facilities. Please note: it can sometimes be slippery! Two fields where tents and campers are set up along the edges, so that you have a good view when sitting in front of your camper. Water point and electricity available for at least two places, so that refilling water with a modest length hose in between is no problem at all. Simplicity = power!

‘Pamper and enjoy’ is the motto of the owners of this fantastic CP. Beautiful, well-maintained field and excellent sanitary facilities. That’s it, washing up has to be done at the camper and there is also no hot water point. Campers are often on the road for a long time and have to wash up every now and then; that facility is missing, as well as a urinal and separate washbasins that are only there in combination with the shower room itself. Will this come? But anyway, it is already: Top!!

This is a great camper place at a very reasonable price. Everything is neat and tidy and very well maintained. The only thing we find less is the number of sanitary facilities. For example, only one sink for 50 people is a bit tight. Great base for cycling and walking tours, including the Weerribben Wieden.

Nice farm campsite, where you (especially if you are on the first field) get a lot of experience of this farm with a fairly large livestock. Sanitary facilities are good and clean, but even now we found the numbers a bit on the small side. You could opt for more sanitary facilities, where you keep a part closed when it is quiet. Beautiful surroundings the Veluwezoom with excellent cycling and walking routes (sometimes very steep😓)

The ‘Bois de Boulonge’ as the campsite used to be called, remains a great base for visiting Paris (by bike). It is expensive though, because we paid €14.50 extra per night for electricity and you also pay a one-off €25 in administration costs. There are a few smaller pitches but generally fine. Pitches by the Seine are a bit quieter because you are not standing along the busy road through the ‘Bois’

A good (expensive) campsite, where the rental of cottages and tents are separated from the 'normal' pitches, which are spaciously laid out with generally a fair amount of privacy; you do benefit from the extra options at the rental park, such as the swimming pool. Excellent as a starting point for a visit to 'de Mont', which is easily accessible via a cycle path; if you don't have your own bikes, you can rent them at the campsite (not electric)
Sitecode: 23018
Small campsite that offers everything you need as a camper in all its simplicity. The only downsides are that the electricity sometimes requires you to use extension cords and that everything is so low (but that is often the case in France) that you have to bend down a lot as a 'tall' Dutch person. Arromanches-Les-Bains is easily accessible both on foot and by bike. Cycling in the area is also worthwhile.

In the past we have enjoyed this campsite (back then with a caravan). Cottages were still a minority. There is nothing left of the ‘normal’ campsite. We have not found any places where a tent, caravan or camper can be placed. I cannot judge the positive or negative experiences with the rental of cottages, but one thing I know for sure: campers have nothing to look for here anymore. So skip it!
Sitecode: 114263
Campsite with many permanent places with mainly houses. You have to be lucky on your 'normal' pitch, because they differ quite a bit, in size, sun and/or shade, whether or not flat and the distance to the sanitary facilities. All in all sufficient but not exceptional.

Simple campsite with beautiful views of the surroundings and the Channel. In clear weather and in the evenings, the chalk coast at Folkstone and Dover is clearly visible. Beautiful walks and bike rides possible. Spacious pitches; simple sanitary facilities in an old shed but clean. Wifi only provides a sufficient but strong signal near the reception.
