Attention!! The street address is located on a dead-end unpaved road. DO NOT USE for navigation! De Rustplaats is located right on the main road (and is amazing).

I agree with Robcars: substandard campsite for an outrageous price. Near Stavanger, we stayed at the city campsite for less money, on grass, and with excellent facilities. This is just making easy money with poor facilities and letting everything fall into disrepair.

Apparently newly constructed campsite (July 2026) at an altitude of 1,100 meters on Dagalifjell. Stunning view over the plateau and plenty of hiking opportunities. The toilet and shower behind the restaurant across the road were clean. Payment via QR code, everything in Norwegian. Fortunately, some explanation on the sign at the entrance.

We found this campsite disappointing given the previous reviews. You are essentially parked in a parking lot with coarse gravel and a few power outlets (not CE certified, but there are plenty of sockets). The toilets are substandard: rickety door handles, light switch hanging loosely on the wall, no light in the toilet, only in the hallway, no toilet paper left, no heating. The cottages on the park overlook the river, the campsite does not.

Chaos when busy, otherwise fine. We arrived at a quiet campsite the day before Ascension Day. On Ascension Day, the campsite filled up and everyone who was admitted just had to find a spot. Poor management as it is unclear how many pitches are available. Otherwise consistent with previous reviews, and largely empty again on Sunday evening after Ascension Day.

The campsite is now mostly a motorhome site with about 20 pitches, marked with red and white chains on small posts. We drove up on a whim and managed to get a spot, even though the sign at the gate said it was full. New showers, but outdated toilets. Nice spot within walking distance of the center.

Conveniently located near the city center. Note: you'll need tokens for the adjacent service point, including for water to rinse the cartridge. They're available at local businesses. Or you can get water from the public restrooms across the street.

Beautifully situated site, but some pitches are very small, so arriving early is worthwhile. Getting water is difficult unless you have a hose with a Gardena or a double coupling. Poor drainage around the taps and waste point.
