A lovely, welcoming, and intimate campsite on the Dokkummer Ee river with panoramic views. The owners go above and beyond to ensure their guests have a pleasant stay. The towpath makes Dokkum easily accessible by bike. Twice a week, guests can enjoy a boat trip to/in Dokkum (for a small fee). The owner then takes guests to Dokkum on his punt and shares some of the town's history.

We spent three nights at the campsite and didn't touch a pot or pan. We were pleasantly surprised by the menu in the campsite restaurant and even more impressed by the food served and the service staff. This campsite and its restaurant are a true gem. Clean bathrooms, great pitches, and the bustling city is just a short bike ride away. Hats off!

Pleasant campsite with attentive managers/owners. (I can't agree with the previous response) were at no. 77 with drainage and water and had sun and shade. I also used the washing machine and dryer and the price of both machines correspond to prices I paid in Limburg and Drenthe. The campsite is ideally situated to visit "de Vesting" and surroundings!

I can't think of anything negative. Everything is right on this camper place with the feeling of a camping. Chapeau!

Pleasant reception and not unimportant...they spoke English. But showering and washing dishes with cold (very, very lukewarm) water is terrible. For 1 overnight stay we paid € 27.72 for a camper incl. 2 pax. We spent the night there on May 26, '24, bread service and snack bar were not yet in operation. We think that's just too expensive....

The intention was to be here for about 3 days, but it turned out to be a week. Beautiful place on the water, delicious food and yes then we are happy. In terms of plumbing, it is as described below, but we accepted that.

Beautiful campsite on the river Kyll. To reach this campsite you have to go down a steep slope (and of course up again ☺) We found it creepy but afterwards we did it with 2 fingers in the nose. Due to severe flooding, the restaurant is closed. But as good and decisive entrepreneurs do, they have tackled this problem with a food truck next to the terrace. Bread service to the camping site. Wi-Fi top!
