Great location, agree with previous comments. However a new wooden barrier has been installed along the back which means vans over 7.5m will have to overhang the road!

Excellent overnight stop close to A75 motorway. Medieval town with all facilities. Free services. Recommended.

The front row places are narrow but who cares, the views are fabulous. Carro village has everything you need, daily fish market, twice weekly general food market, plenty of eating places, two bakers and a small supermarket. Would avoid the high season but at other times I reckon this is the best place on the French Med. We’ve been coming here for years and always look forward to being back.

Agree with the previous comments; a great place overlooking the canal. There is now a more open/less trees place at the end where you can get a satellite signal and sunshine for your solar panels. And space for larger motorhomes and trailers. Recommended.

Great location alongside river in the summer and plenty of extra parking nearby on tarmac for when it’s raining. Satellite signal possible in most places. Emptying facilities (very dirty) a short walk away at campsite entrance. Recommended for a few days.

A bit run down but OK, plenty of space and some hardstanding. Main problem is no rubbish bins on the site. There are some large recycling bins 100m away but the one for general non- recyclable rubbish can only be open with coin or cc payment so bags left on the ground. Not clever!

Excellent free Aire with free electricity (only 8 sockets so get there early!). Small village market on Saturdays and two boulangeries. Recommended.

Very busy as expected at this time of year but enough space between vans. The cassette emptying place doesn’t have any free rinse water. Drinking water is €2 extra. OK for a night or two.

A bit disappointing. It’s too expensive for what it is. There is constant background road noise. I think the emptying facilities need updating. There doesn’t appear to be a grey water drain and the cassette emptying place was blocked. Also fresh water tap in the main field seems to have been removed. Obviously shower/toilet block closed due to Covid. Ok for a night.

Good overnight stop. Parking for bigger vans is a bit tricky; the desire for a satellite signal overrules common sense and sensible parking arrangements! On a main road but quiet at night. Small supermarket in town. Clean service area. Recommended.

Excellent stopover near to N10. Plenty of shops within walking distance. Only one water tap so take care!

Convenient stopover for A62 and A66 motorways. Plenty of spaces on tarmac. Services in poor condition, possibly blocked so didn’t use.

Stopped for services, all clean and tidy. Parking places quite sloping but ok for a night. Easy walk to shops.

Fabulous views but you might need to keep your sunglasses on in bed! The nighttime flood lights are very bright indeed. Still an awesome place even so.

Nice clean well designed service point with spaces alongside. We only stopped for lunch but would be fine for a night.

Great place by the lake for a couple of days. There is also another larger area 500m further on. Apparently the area by the lake will be cleared by police on weekends and holidays to allow locals to park. The downside is that the service point is walk/drive away from the parking. There is a rinse water tap in the old laundry house next to the service point. Recommended.

Moved here from the river at Mertola as it was so hot and airless there. Cool breeze here now but could probably blow a gale sometimes as it’s very open and flat. Plenty of space on the field area. Token needed for drinking water but free cassette rinse water.

Nice place next to the river, fine for a night or two. Always busy so get there early. The approach roads are narrow with parked cars but ok for us (8.5m length). 157 steps uphill to town!

Excellent place, great views. Excellent local restaurant in the village. Recommended.

Didn’t think I’d like this place but actually it’s ok for a few days. Need to arrive early, only 3 places left at 9:30am! Full of long stayers, some taking up more than one space with cars and trailers. With more considerate parking there would easily be space for another 10 or 15 vans. Easy access to beach and village with supermarket.

Perfect! Frank, the owner, is a motorhomer so knows exactly what we need and everything is here. Always full so essential you book online.

Excellent free Aire, stunning views, get there early!

A real disappointment. The surface is sloping and full of dips so impossible to get level and any level areas are occupied by long stayers. The power was switched off when we stayed end February probably to discourage even more long stayers.

Despite an uninspiring location it’s ok for a few nights stopover. Well organised, clean and tidy, with all necessary facilities. Cheap diesel and lpg too.

Very busy so get there early. Great views and plenty of bars, restaurants and two supermarkets. Park on the harbour wall if you need electricity or next to the lighthouse if you don’t. Recommended.

Excellent stopover right on the N330, but quiet at night. Free services and cheap fuel station. Recommended.

Convenient new Aire for transit routes to the coast. Clean and tidy and services working in winter. Uninspiring location but does the job so a welcome additional stopover.

Agree with the other reviews. Quiet at night, but lit. Great views over vineyards. We stay on our way to and from Spain in the winter as it’s not far from the Bordeaux ring road, usually no other vans at that time of year. Perfect!

Good stopover. Has a new credit card payment machine which means all the long-termers have gone!

Excellent stopover for tunnel or ferries, quiet and sheltered. Haven’t stayed during high season or public holidays so always had space when we were there. Services a bit expensive at 5euros. Recommended.

Decent stopover 50mins from the tunnel, overlooking the canal. Services looked clean and tidy but didn’t need to use them. €4 per jeton is a bit expensive but many of the new Aires are that sort of price now. As others have said; get there early to guarantee a place.

Excellent Aire, been here many times over the years. Always busy in the the season so get there early! Shower, toilets, electricity and services all for €8 definitely encourages long stayers. Places now properly demarcated which keeps the awnings under control. Good vet in town for those returning home with pets.

Excellent place right on the river. Not too large and decent sized marked out places. Some places are quite sloping so may not be able to get absolutely level. Adequate services with free cassette rinse water. The only negative is that it’s grossly over lit at night. Edeka and shops all within walking distance. Highly recommended.

OK for a stopover. Next to a main road but quiet enough at night. Plenty of sockets but only three in each cabinet are 16amp CEE, the rest are 10amp 2-pin. The real problem is that the facilities are a significant distance away, so this site should be reclassified as having no facilities. The facilities should be listed separately as a service area without parking.

Small site with spaces overlooking the river. 16 amp electricity with just enough sockets. Basic emptying facilities. Sadly a couple of noisy British vans with four dogs between them parked right next to us so we had to move on. Pity, we were hoping for a few days peace and quiet, but that’s the luck of the draw!

Excellent site right on the riverside. Likely to have space even on a holiday weekend. €8 + €2 for 16amp electricity. Should be enough sockets but you may need a very long cable. Water is €1 for, at best, 60 litres which is a bit mean but free cassette rinse water. No trains or roads nearby so quiet. Cycle tracks both ways so good for dog owners. Recommended.

Excellent place overlooking the river, friendly owner who speaks English and an easy walk into town. €8.50 per night + €2 for 6amp electricity. Water is €1 for barely 50 litres which is a bit mean. Emptying is awkward to access for larger vans. Even so I would still recommend this place.

Agree with the previous reviews, plenty of space and friendly owner who speaks good English. For the riverside places you will need at least a 50 metre cable, maybe longer. Reception sell beers and wine. Recommended.

Fabulous remote place next to the Elbe. Fresh water but no emptying. Showers and toilets available. Access is down a cobblestone road and field track before the marina. Restaurant on site. Recommended for a quiet few days.

I agree with other comments that it’s a great place. The only problem is many are living here for months so all the best places are taken. I can understand; only 1euro per day for access to shower/toilet block, only 2euro per day for 16amp electricity. However 2euro per day per dog is a bit cheeky! Good fish restaurants on site and clean services so not all bad!

Good stopover. Extra for water and electricity. Noticed some campers emptying their cassette in the toilets. You have to get a paid card for the showers and toilets. Didn’t use any of this so can’t comment on them. The sandy parking area is very soft in places so be careful if your van has front wheel drive.

Not nice at all. Doesn’t deserve its rating. Very scruffy. The place just up the road on the next marina is much better although more expensive!

Ok place with good view of the Baltic. Not nearly enough electric sockets and very long cable required. Emptying facilities not good, there is a locked lid over the hole for grey and cassette emptying which costs 2euro to open and very difficult to get near enough to empty grey water. So all in all a bit expensive 8 per night + 2 for electric + 2 to empty and 1 for water! Very busy at weekends.

Excellent place for a stopover. Quiet at night and always plenty of space. The ship lift is well worth a visit. 2euro to exit. 6euro ticket to park in the marked camping car spaces but campers park in the car parking area, no problem and nobody checked for tickets.

Great little stopover next to canal, plenty of barges to watch. Despite roads on two sides, very little noise and quiet at night. We stayed during the recent heatwave and the breeze along the canal was very welcome indeed! No services and nobody checked for parking meter tickets either.

Great place overlooking the lake. Services all good and easily accessible. Free cassette rinse water (I hate places which charge extra for this), drinking water 1euro per 100litres, metered electricity if you need it. 8euro per night is ok for this place.

Too expensive by far. The services (which are free) are 200m away in the flower/plant nursery so nothing to do with the parking place at all! The pitches are close together and absolutely 8m maximum. The view is ok but not worth 9euro. It’s a rip-off.

Good place, nice views all round with boats moving up and down the river. 6 euros per night including 10 amp electricity, harbour master collects the money. A convenient stop not far from the motorway.

This is our favourite winter place in Spain! Very peaceful and undeveloped, four small bars which probably stay open in winter because of the motorhomes. Very helpful owner speaks English. This place has everything you need and nothing that you don't need, so no electricity and no unnecessary site facilities, just perfect views and perfect skies. This is our third year and we'll be back next year

not completely finished so services not working. A bit noisy during the day as there is a railway line alongside, but acceptably quiet at night. An Ok stop.

Great spot. Fab views of mountains all around. Services ok but use wc for emptying cassette. Recommended.
