Does liking dogs mean you don't like people? If a place isn't dog-friendly, you should ask why. The campsite management has nothing against dogs or dog owners. They are solely responsible. State laws and dike protection regulations are responsible for the dog ban. There are also conflicts with sheep grazing, as bacteria can be ingested through the sheep's feed! Aside from that, the campsite is excellently maintained by the spa management.

The new pitches on the northern part towards the harbor are very good, of course the trees are still small and therefore there is little shade, there is a power connection at every pitch, grey water has to be carried to the guardhouse. The washhouse is lovingly designed and very well maintained. Compliments to the spa administration who builds and manages the new pitches, a stroke of luck for the community of Neuharlingersiel

Registration friendly, 18 € p. Night incl. Electricity and 2 people is absolutely ok, toilets and showers well-kept, 1 € for 3 min. Absolute silence, only hearing the sheep on the dike, wild rabbits often visiting in the morning.

That's a real blessing these days when campsites are overbooked. A note on previous recessions, the high stair case is in dire need of flood protection.

cherusker123 05/16/2023 the beautiful town of Schiltach deserves a better campsite. my last visit was in 2017 with the old owner since then the equipment in the caring area has not improved. Piles of rubbish and abandoned caravans lying on the site do not make a good impression for a campsite. The toilet facilities are cleaned, but wobbly toilet seats do not make a good impression

Unfortunately, this is a heavy surcharge for the capital city, but it is also the only acceptable place where the city can be reached within an hour with ÖVP.
