Nice quiet stopover if your in one of the designated 8 places, separated by 5foot high ornamental grass between motorhomes are quite close together. If you stay in the large area next it's very dusty. Water 2euros at sani station in large area but it wasn't working when we were there! Walking around the town ramparts is a must takes about 30mins plus. Theres a launderette in town and a large vets

Nice to have shade of the trees but what a weird place for a motorhome stop over, one side of it is near a busy road and other side is only about a metre from the train line! Trains stop at 10pm and start at 6am. Good place to visit the nice town though

This place had a lovely camp site feel and was well kept other than the very stinky blocked port a loo and also only had one shower. This place really needs a permanent toilet. The washing machine and dryer worked well. Bread service if wanted. Surrounded by vineyards and only a short walk into town.

Pretty canal & lock for a stop over. We couldn't see any sign to say you can't sleep over anymore. As you drive in it's a bit dusty but plenty of grass areas to park on next to the pretty canal. No friterie. Probably needs some work doing on the drive in area hence the score, otherwise would have been a 10

Motorhome places are marked in carpark and cars can't park in them after 3pm but of course some ignore it. Only suitable for camper vans or motorhomes up to 7metres. Nice town just across the road but very small. Quiet at night

Good large parking area, very quiet and peaceful at night. Nothing around other than spa that looked expensive but the outdoor pool and water slides looked great

Very convenient for Melk town centre which is at the back of the monastery, only 5min walk through the carpark and left at the houses, very nice small town. Downside is I've never known parking places so narrow couldn't even open window fully or rear hatch! Sani station working. Room for 8 motorhomes but not over 7metres long!

Nice parking area with small privacy hedges. The main campsite across small road with a lovely river. Nice toilets and shower in main building & restaurant. There is a motorhome cleaning station at front of main campsite building that has a jet wash which you put coins in, very good but only room for up to 7 metre vans. Please note there are 2 service areas here one at building & one on parking area

Good over night stop and free of charge. Very steep road and winding for about 3 miles, it's a struggle up but some motorhomes might not make it our last one wouldn't have. Quiet area just overspill parking area for eagles nest. Hitler's old holiday home and underground bunker. Bus runs up to it

Nice camping field at the back of the biathlon centre, electricity included and a hut with water and toilet disposal, toilets at centre. Wonderful views of village and countryside. The biathlon centre is closed Sunday & Monday but you can still stay there. Only negative remark when we were there the grass was quite long

The sign here says no overnight camping! It also said only cars and buses to park there. We moved on, not sure we would have wanted to stay anyway directly next to the trains and buses

Friendly owner. Good site that had got marked out plots. You pay by machine and get a ticket but owner was around to give us change to do our laundry, the site has a washing machine and dryer but only one shower and the toilets are not in use now. Lovely little village to walk too just up the road and ruins of a castle.

Lovely old town and castle 10minute walk away. Parking under a viaduct but good shade and your view is off the river. The road was quiet a night.

Nice small field, electricity included plug in at wood storage hut, water tap in corner of owners courtyard. Owners were out evening and morning so posted money in their mailbox. Nice field with raised bird boxes but only saw two birds. Sign posted walks from field. Amenities very dated and could at least do with tidying up, only used toilet. No answer at house in evening or morning even though dogs were out and a car there, so posted money in the box with the motorhome symbol at the front next to road

Lovely place to sleep over at a harbour. Toilets were open at side of sailing club. Lovely place to park is between the hedges with dry dock boats and you can see harbour. Asian BBQ is permanently shut, just one cafe there and a shop selling raw fish, no fish and chips as someone has stated.

Probably a great stop for the beach but is nothing more than a layby parallel to a busy road. Room for lots of motorhomes, probably 10 there when we stayed and an overnight sleep for a lorry driver. Also the air was full of flies. Not a great experience for us but free

Lovely location amongst countryside, although very very quiet at night. We asked at the orchid centre if we could park up overnight. Toilet just inside centre when they are open 9 - 18.00. A circus that's noisy til late and only room for 20 motorhomes on a tightly packed strip site but at least 40 more just parked on the spare land so the facilities were stretched.
