Disregard ALL Previous reviews about this site. The whole place is completely brand new this year, opened in July after a major rebuild. Every building and facility is ultra modern, from the welcoming reception to the absolutely unbelievable shower and toilet facilities which would shame a lot of hotels. The washing area even includes a row of Miele dishwashers! The pool and market are amazing.

This stop has every facility except electricity. It is an excellent city location. In addition to previous good reviews which are accurate, The Stravaganti Hostel adjacent to the site will permit campers to use the showers and toilet facilities for 3 Euro, and they are very modern and clean. Also, depending how close you’re parked, you can log on to the hostel’s WiFi.

A decent site with 10 amp And 16 amp pitches on mostly level grass with trees for pitch markers. Quite tight but manageable for our 7.5m motorhome. The new shower and toilet facilities are excellent and very modern and clean.

Pros: on a good bus route for Ljubljana. €6:80 for two people return. Ticket from reception. Cons: Expensive- extremely tight pitches to get into - showers dreadful, broken tiles, no hooks, no shower hooks etc, dismal. Expensive for basic amenities. In town, the Castle and boat trips are a waste of money. Nice market and street food today

Camp Bear is the exact opposite of a big regimented impersonal site. The family owners are all welcoming and helpful. There is locally made jam, honey, plum wine, and of course - schnapps if you are brave enough. The pitches are mainly grass and just about coped with an 8.5m van. Impromptu social gatherings in the evenings are not uncommon but not compulsory. Facilities are decent and clean.

The staff have been extremely helpful. We’re here 2 nights mid September ‘18 and packed like sardines with caravans & Motorhomes, mainly French/German. Some on tarmac area the rest in woods next to derelict chalets with gravel surface. Facilities very old and unwelcoming, but plenty of hot water. Bus into Bucharest 100m from entrance. Ticket from reception 2.50 Lei pp each way.

Surely the best little village campsite in Romania. Excellent owner/manager. Very good washing and toilet facilities. Good WiFi. Nice surroundings. If only they were all this good.

Nice site near to recreational lake. Mixed camping - tents, Camping cars with no marked out pitches, and numerous wooden chalets for rent. Decent toilet/shower facilities. Doors on the loo but not the showers which cost 20kc or 1€. Takes about 20 mins to bike into centre, or bus/tram tickets from reception. It’s an easy bike ride around the lake, couple of bars / restaurants en-route.

Road noise, train noise, and not scenic. But the best free pitch in Nuremberg. Gets full early in season. The other two free sites are very dodgy and should be avoided. This one is great for visiting Nuremberg by bike - 10 minutes mainly through the riverside park. It’s also on a bus route into town. No facilities.

Very nice semi rural with reasonably level hard gravel pitches. 10 minute walk to Ladenburg town, nice cafes etc. 40 minute steady bike ride following river into Heidelberg. Good WiFi €1 for 24hrs. Electric €1 for a kw. Helpful English spk reception open twice a day. Good MH facilities.

The huge loose hard surface car park is reasonably level and will accommodate any sized vehicle. The pub/hotel decor is politely referred to as ‘tired’. The menu/food is tasty and wholesome with good portions. The people are lovely, helpful and welcoming. A cooked breakfast is available from 0730. For £7:95. No MH facilities but we’d happily use it again.
