Am I the only one to have been misled by this location? there is one entrance to Calais Plage Camping and the Aire but they are separate and independent. I entered and booked in at the camping. Then I noticed the Aire with an entrance 20 meters away! However the Aire requires a membership with down payment of €50. Can be done by app or on site. Just too complicated. Beware!

parking area close to information kiosk at the site of the highest point of canal du midi where it was originally engineered with appropriate history displayed and explained. significant historical interest. quiet and rather remote.

superb place to visit so no complaints that the car park is exactly that. free, safety in numbers. quiet at night.
