fine place to stop. barriers came down around 10pm but no one asked us to leave. quiet night but noisy morning. toilets good and open all night.

Bylaw sign says not to be used for sleeping purposes.

lovely little campsite. very friendly and helpful welcome. lots of hot water. great place to stop.

stunning view. no facilities at all. quiet spot to stay the night. room for 4 vans max but any length.

Great place to stop. Hard standing with electric and water and grey emptying. Behind pub away from road. Nice view. โฌ20. pay in pub.

Ridiculously overpriced! โฌ38 with electric for what was essentially a car park space. One toilet- they had decommissioned the one shower so we had to walk through the pitch black down steps and across wet grass to a dingy shower by the bell tents. plenty of hot water but it didnโt drain so you stood in it ! As a motorhome stop it would be fine. But to charge above campsite prices for poor facilities and a car park space gives it 2 stars!

Very friendly owners and great quirky ethos. Facilities were very basic, plenty of hot water in a dribble though. Had some nice social spaces. Unable to empty a toilet unless certain eco friendly chemicals used.

The location is stunning. Donโt be put off by the huge metal gates and prolific red โDo notโ signs. It is a clean, quiet, well maintained site. Personally, I would sell the big gates and red signs and buy some flowering hydrangeas instead as itโs an old quarry and would do better if it was made more pretty. We have to admit we found ourselves humming the Colditz theme tune. No shop or laundry but showers were hot and included in price. Nice walks

Beautiful spot and very quiet overnight. unfortunately we stayed on a windy night which we wouldn't recommend you do as we were very exposed- we used our blocks.

very friendly staff. nice campsite. clean and tidy. plenty of pitches

car park now open. plenty of spaces though other motorhomes stayed in an area just before the car park. suitable for big vans. there are toilets but not very clean! very quiet spot.

very expensive - 50% more than other sites. Itโs functional and impersonal - small muddy pitches. Being near Westport House is nice, but the grounds arnt that spectacular. Visit the house in the day but think twice about paying above average prices for a very average site.

great location, tightly packed in with trees and branches making parking difficult . Quiet site. no dogs allowed but still some local dogs. toilet block clean but water can be hot or luke warm. A bit pricey at โฌ30 a night in October but they have the monopoly. Fresh bread in morning- can cycle to a supermarket as camp shop sparse.

great site. well equipped for motorhome. we cycled in to Oviedo but there were no bike lanes and the busy roads so cycle in is not really recommended by us.

nice campsite. The toilet block at the bottom of the hill is very good. Top of the hill is basic but clean. Donโt accept the site right opposite reception though. C15. The ? night security stood and talked til the early hours outside our van near reception so we couldnโt get to sleep. otherwise would give staff and site more stars.

seemed idiilic when we parked up. The slots werenโt big enough for motorhomes so we parked by the river. We parked on a Saturday night.- no market on Sunday but the youth of the area came in their cars and were outside the vans talking and revving up their car engines until 2am. There are toilets on the walk to the village but we didnโt go in them.

Basic but clean and quiet. A good place to stop over with hot water.

looked immaculate through the gate. No motorhomes in it and gate locked. No reply when we phoned. I think itโs shut.

Clean toilet- quiet street. Beautiful views. Great location. BUT and a massive but - there is a dog kennel below the site in the valley. The dogs understandably bark at each other from their kennels. The noise resonates around the valley. Almost constant. We decided sleep would be impossible and moved on. Its a shame really.
