We stopped at this free campervan site (camping is prohibited). In winter, this campervan site is uninviting and too far from the town center. However, there are roadworks underway/no campervan parking spaces at the mixed parking lot/near the station. Any available bus parking is actively fined! The municipality encourages guests to arrive by public transport upon request. Fine, but then we wouldn't feel welcome with our campervan and continued on to the hospitable town of Waldkirch.
Sitecode: 104460
Quietly located parking lot near Monschau, but does not seem to be official, given the barrier at the beginning of the site
Sitecode: 1178
We already encountered the racing cars along the way and then the circles of the wheel tracks. There was no other camper and it did not feel safe to stay. Too bad!
Sitecode: 24937
Great spot, but there were already 10 campers there, while only 4 are allowed! So we drove on.
Sitecode: 64030
We have been to this nice camper place more often, but again there is a regular customer with a caravan and tent. We were therefore forced to drive on.
Sitecode: 88517
Excellent campervan site, right on the Dutch/German border for exploring De Maasduinen National Park by bike or on foot. Plenty of amenities and a nearby restaurant. Campervans cost €4.75 per night through social deals, tourist tax €1.80 per person, and a €10 deposit for the gate key.
Sitecode: 22472
Beautiful spot next to the mill and a good restaurant. Regarding the power pole, the red cable is sticking out of the ground next to it. See photo. That's why there's no power...
Sitecode: 73699
Please note, see review from September 2022. Parking is only allowed on the street, not on the park's grassy area. Parking is subject to inspection and fines. Upon arrival, all campers were parked at the gate. Furthermore, it's a unique and quiet location. Within walking distance of the town center.
Sitecode: 315
The CP is accessible; follow the detour. A good stopover for the Neckar route. The toilet works; buttons 4 and 5 (press twice) are for cleaning the cassette and rinsing the grid. Otherwise, it's a quiet and well-lit area.
Sitecode: 23738
Be careful at the toilet area. There is only one tap for both drinking water and flushing the toilet cassette!
Sitecode: 2819
Three quiet campervan pitches, for up to 24 hours, within walking distance of the small historic town center, with a marked walking route. And close to the A48 motorway and waterfalls, Burg Eltz, and Cochem. Free campervan pitch with amenities, with electricity (16 amps) and water at a charge.
Sitecode: 102581
Beautifully situated, spacious campervan site on the Bitburg reservoir, perfect for cycling and walking. It's lively and lively during the day, but peaceful and quiet at night. Restaurants and public restrooms are available. One of the four campervan sites was still occupied by a villager, and upon our arrival, two were occupied by parked motorcycles. Some people have issues with social campervan behavior. Perhaps we should set a maximum length of stay?
Sitecode: 71141
Free camper spot, without facilities 2 km from the historic town Be careful; do not park your camper in the town because it is not clearly indicated where you can park your camper. There is not enough space and you will get a fine if you unsuspectingly park on a bus parking lot (has this been a business model for years?)
Sitecode: 21121
Moderate, because in the evening young people with cars and motorcycles use the terrain as a playing field. Until well after midnight they drive around noisily and make a sport of accelerating quickly. If you hear loud talking all the time you won't sleep a wink. During the day you can be there as a free parking spot, but for overnight stays you better look for another camper spot.
Sitecode: 14294
Dear Nou Zoe, you probably have another camper spot in mind. There is no payment machine here and there is a meadow on the other side. So no noise, it is wonderfully quiet here.
Sitecode: 391
Upon arrival, around 2:00 PM, the official camper spot for 7 campers was already full. There were also campers on the parking lot in front and above. Also along the park on the river side. In short, there is a clear need for more camper spots. Many campers have been added in recent years. Tip for the municipality.
Sitecode: 51808
Just before you reach the camper spot, do not follow the sign to drive into a steep & narrow path. Follow the road to the left and immediately after that is the camper spot on the right. (see photo)
Sitecode: 57080
Great location, within walking distance of the castle and the center Sanistation is broken, but emptying the toilet is possible and there is a separate power supply box
Sitecode: 497
Great, free camper spot, with 5 demarcated, quiet spots behind the tennis hall. Some traffic for the nearby allotments. More than 1 km to the centre of the Hanseatic city and 250m from the petrol station and supermarkets. For drinking water, toilet emptying and grey water, you can go to the new camper spot located downhill. We were lucky last weekend, because there was a free music festival!
Sitecode: 3982
Great free place within walking distance of Lidl and historic town, with many half-timbered houses, Castle Hotel (currently closed) and city wall/ramp with a view of the Lippe area
Sitecode: 25581
Large parking lot without facilities, with 2 camper spots behind the town hall. Nice place with a huge church. Was an alternative to the camper spot in Burgsteinfurt, which is currently being renovated (see the municipality's website).
Sitecode: 713
Nice free camper spot strip parallel to the river Vechte, separated by a dike with trees Many walking and cycling paths Within walking distance of the cozy center and supermarkets Adjacent to the open-air swimming pool Maximum 3 nights stay (will be checked) Regularly unavailable in the coming period due to shooting festival and funfair (see municipality website)
Sitecode: 9889
Nice, quiet spot on the flowing water, with cycling and walking possibilities Approximately 10 km to Hoxter, with Schloss/Kloster Corvey (Unesco) No facilities
Sitecode: 10215
Excellent camper spot, within walking distance of the historic town. Beautiful hilly walking area, including along the Jagst river Sanitation available It's a pity that the locals also like to park their cars on the camper pitches
Sitecode: 28906
Neatly laid out camper spot, with Sani station, but we got the impression that there were many permanent campers and that should be a maximum of 3 days
Sitecode: 42403
UNESCO archaeological Roman camp and museum located on a plateau Quiet, but with electricity and a Sani station
Sitecode: 76524
Beautifully located, but narrow camper pitches (6m) on the Wornitz, with a view of the castle to be visited. Toilets across the street (closed at night). Supermarket within walking distance. However, noise from traffic. A quieter and more spacious camper pitch is located near the castle for €8. and paid electricity
Sitecode: 11797
Despite the camper spot indication, there was no camper spot to be found, despite alternative routes, because the road was closed. Ultimately, we arrived at a construction site via a sports field🤔 Save yourself the trouble! There was a great garden center location with a huge parking lot, but Rain is unfortunately lacking in terms of a decent camper spot! Not smart....and please remove the camper designation!
Sitecode: 99951
Beautiful camper spot on the Rhine in Switzerland with a view of the swimming pool and German Laufenburg Hiking trails along the Rhine and via the old stone border bridge by bike or on foot to Germany or back to Switzerland Shower and toilet are now included for 18 francs Electricity and the lovely swimming pool are exclusive
Sitecode: 24937
Free 4 camper spots with free electricity!!! The viewing tower with elevator and restaurant at the top gives a beautiful view of the dam, reservoir and forests Next to the tower is a challenging climbing park, but you can also cycle or walk 15 km around the lake We have not seen the permanent resident!
Sitecode: 77101
Free camper place without facilities, in a quiet village with beautiful hiking / cycling trails, in quite hilly landscape No supermarket anymore, but a shop with fruit / vegetables and a Pizzeria What an interesting Bergwerkmuseum this is, both above ground (€ 4) and underground at a depth of 300m with a train to visit! (€ 7 extra, total € 11) After this experience you no longer have to go to the Fort affiliated with them Fun😄
Sitecode: 12707
Free camper place with sani station (8 hours of electricity for € 1) for 3 campers next to the railway (a bit crooked terrain) Funny mushroom with a story 🍄 Playing field at the end of the track and playing field had no problems Shops / restaurants within walking distance For the Slot (park)/Altstadt, you have to cross the road from the tourist information and go up a few stairs Beautiful! And nice restaurants there on the square 😊
Sitecode: 5743
Quiet, free camper place with sani station within walking distance of Schloss and beautiful, cozy Altstadt It is a pity that lighting and maintenance can be improved, because many campers visit local restaurants and shops. But it is free!
Sitecode: 8262
Nicely located camper place, with Sanistation and a view of a lake in a hilly landscape, close to a residential area Next to it is a tennis court, cycling and walking paths and an outdoor swimming pool for €3 per person Beautiful old town
Sitecode: 58344
Centrally located camper place in Nassau, with Sanitation (without electricity) It is only busy due to passing buses and trains in the vicinity of a central parking lot After visiting the historic town on the river Lahn for our royal family, we went anyway, because we were in the sun and crowds
Sitecode: 104201
A nice camper place (we only saw 2 places for 7m and 1 for a van 🤔) at the beautifully renovated station building with Biergarten in 2020 The old railway has now become a beautiful cycle path through the rolling landscape with nice towns, railway bridges and illuminated railway tunnels 👍
Sitecode: 21088
Nice free camper place with excellent facilities, only we got less power than promised The combination with a party tent behind it is not convenient, because Eva turned 18 and that was celebrated with increasingly loud music At 1.30 we had to look for the CP downstairs Apparently they have no social rules for Jammer!!!
Sitecode: 28934
Great place as a starting point for cycling, walking, swimming and castle visits in Wiltz The sanitary column did not provide water, but could be opened for € 1 for the chemical toilet Ideal you would say, until our "neat" Dutch neighbors with 4p gray-blue old Wingam (number plate known) left in a hurry, leaving the contents of the chemical toilet in a plastic bag for the nearby rubbish bin! Left because of the stench Shame!!
Sitecode: 64030
Beautifully located free camper place, with sanitation, opposite the park and within walking distance of the center However, 2 of the 7 places are permanently occupied, so that other campers stand between other campers, for which there is no room! Please check!
Sitecode: 12163
Nice place overlooking monastery and valley On Saturday evening, some (older) youth can come to the parking lot to drink beers and "just" drive on!
Sitecode: 432
Always a nice place to visit, with good facilities at the camper place But now with the fair busy and overcrowded! After a visit to the beautiful Altstadt, we drove on
Sitecode: 9650
Nice camper place in a meadow, without facilities. Beautiful cycling and walking environment! And there is a small swimming meadow at the Tauber for cooling off, as well as a bridging dam to the Bierstube, where a Kneippanlage
Sitecode: 101727
Great place on the Tauber near sports fields and for the allotment gardens Access road from the church through the village to the bridge. In the beginning a little style, but doable. No facilities, but not necessary
Sitecode: 68667
We join the previous speaker; in April we were still here for free, but now you pay €16.90 for the view, without facilities!!! Only a bare parking lot, pure money making Then we don't refuel here anymore and unfortunately, no more visits to local restaurants and supermarket Edeka
Sitecode: 74920
Nice place between Elspeterheide and cozy Vierhouten. Modern and clean sanitary facilities, little shade on the camping field, WiFi not available everywhere. Unfortunately no children's playground. The only children's playground with, among other things, a bouncy castle is located on the other site of the annual pitches (nuisance?) Adjacent there is possibly the play pond, with playground and restaurant of "busy" visited Paasheuvel group
Sitecode: 57026
We were here on 1/5 and so we were lucky! Do not mention these types of parking spaces as camper spots to prevent problems!
Sitecode: 2873
Nice free, spacious camper place at the Weinstrasse for a stopover and possibly a wine tasting in the town within walking distance Electricity / gray water and toilet cassette free emptying at the Klaranlage against payment (see photo)
Sitecode: 21079
Luckily we didn't see the witch of the previous camper! Free 8 camper spots with paid electricity, sani and toilet block Longer campers (> 6m) park in the car parking lot in front, or drive 200 m further, to the parking lot in the direction of the monastery Within walking distance of the impressive UNESCO monastery
Sitecode: 99951
Four beautiful camper spots on the Rhine and next to the swimming pool for Sfr12, - / 24 hours with credit card, including code clean shower / toilet of the swimming pool and (paid) Sani column Power with 10/20 Rappen coins! Within walking distance of historic Swiss Laufenburg and a view of German Laufenburg Beautiful towns, connected by a stone bridge over the Rhine Walking/cycling paths along the river
Sitecode: 14705
Great place, with marked out pitches within walking distance of the town Increased price of Sfr 15 per 24 hours to be paid by credit card, including electricity and sanitary facilities Sometimes the central square can be full of parked firefighters' cars and that is certainly necessary, but less fun
Sitecode: 341
At the city sports park of the nice tourist town of Waldkirch, there are 6 camper spots and a sani column in the parking lot under the trees. However, more and more campers from the region are parking, while 2dg is the maximum! There is a swimming pool, a fishing pond with boats, a miniature golf course, a playground, a beer garden and a zoo. You can walk, for example, to the tree crown path with a super slide, or to the ruin. Great 😊
Sitecode: 27988
No longer free (from 15€), while there are still no facilities! Too bad, because we sometimes "went out" to eat in the restaurants in the beautiful town!
Sitecode: 27988
Remains a great free spot on the Moselle, on the edge of the historic wine village of Alken with Thurant Castle. Good starting point for cycling and walking. entry/exit The supermarket is unfortunately gone, but there are plenty of restaurants and wineries
Sitecode: 30549
No facilities, but while passing through it was fine on the Rhine and viewed boats There are some regular motor home / anglers, but from a safety point of view you are never alone
Sitecode: 19571
Beautiful camper place on the Rhine, near a beautifully landscaped natural swimming pool. Good starting point for cycling / walking along the Rhine to Bad Saeckingen and Laufenburg, for example. €10,-
Sitecode: 74817
As the previous review indicated, the barriers were placed with the costs mentioned. We were especially sick of the commercial Disneyland-like content. Pay!
Sitecode: 93049
This is just a large bare parking lot and no camper place for 2 Sfr per hour. We quickly drove on!
Sitecode: 8693
Nicely located quiet camper place, near sports park and outdoor pool Beautiful walking and cycling paths along nearby river Nice manager comes by 2x/day during this summer period
Sitecode: 75296
Beautiful, quiet camper place in a forest area, without further facilities. Nice restaurant / beer museum with 6000 beer bottles and beer mugs in display cases. Recommended!
Sitecode: 20384
Nice camper place within walking distance of Zierikzee We would like to see more! A little too high priced due to tourist tax pp per camper
Sitecode: 22348
Nice such a free camper place! And the camper sticks out a bit, but that's no problem as long as traffic towards sports fields and containers adjust their speed!!!
Sitecode: 5568
Camper place without facilities, located near restaurant and beautiful park. Today we discovered that things have changed for the negative, too bad! For years we have been coming here as a stopover to and from our holiday destinations. To walk over the Brunssummerheide and to do some shopping in Brunssum. The municipality should play a clear role in this and not leave this to a so-called "administrator". We went again. Will we come back?
Sitecode: 25580
Piece of lawn by an indoor swimming pool. The facilities promised by the mayor, still not found a year later
Sitecode: 5351
More often visited this camper place in the beautiful white town of Thorn; no facilities at these 3 places for 3 € per 24 hours. Nice and quiet and beautiful water walking area in the Dutch / Belgian Meuse area.
Sitecode: 5568
Been on this free camper spot before, officially for 4 campers, max 72 hours. Garbage can was provided with an extra spare bag and it looked tidy around Easter. The hilly Schutterspark, has water features, walking and cycling paths, barefoot path, petting zoo and climbing forest. (All open) The restaurant is now being renovated. Beautiful area!
Sitecode: 48378
Beautiful camper place for max 4 campers without facilities. In the middle of nature on a peninsula with cycling and hiking trails. All around water, cattle, horses and a view of Loevestein Castle. Nearby Gorinchem and the fortified town of Woudrichem are also worth visiting.
Sitecode: 75
Actually a nice place on the Linge, as a starting point for cycling and walking in the Betuwe. But....,., Youngsters playing football (why corona rules?) With fast cars with enormous nuisance sound systems. Fortunately, the curfew was at 10 p.m. The next Friday morning (market day) the parking lot was overcrowded. The new camper place at the marina is bound to be more beautiful!
Sitecode: 12121
Spacious place with free amenities We came to Huttwill on 13/9/20 especially for the Flyer bikes, but a form was stuck on the board at the camper location stating that the camper spot would be converted by Flyer on 14/9/20 at 5.00 am Disappointing and a pity that this was not mentioned on the website That could have saved us (and others) a long drive!
Sitecode: 57026
Simple, quiet overnight place between the cemetery and the bus garage. This place is not indicated on site as a camper place.
Sitecode: 18318
Nice such a free camper place between the football fields Located at a lake with a shipyard. Good starting point for hiking and biking Camper should be no longer than 7 m and located on a dusty road
Sitecode: 21373
Nice free cp at the station and within walking distance of the center of Dalfsen. Some traffic nuisance. Good starting point for cycling and walking tours. New plantings make it a bit more shelter.
Sitecode: 8595
Simple, quiet and free place in Frisian lake area Around Easter there was unfortunately still a Corona danger and then the 4 places were too close together. The previous night this was taken into account and 4 places became 3. But from 1st to 2nd Easter 2 vans of a "certain" age group (of which 2 from Langweer) came, who did not want to conform to a 1.5 m distance.
Sitecode: 12945
Spacious free camper spots at sports complex / outdoor swimming pool on the border of Silvolde and Terborg and near the Paasberg. After closing time of the outdoor swimming pool there were still too many stunting scooters and hanging youth with music and cars. We then left again anyway A camper place in the park might have been better than this hang-out How well intended
Sitecode: 14164
Beautiful free camper place on a stream at restaurant De Korenmolen and via a bridge you reach the estate park of Huis te Eerbeek The center of Eerbeek within walking distance and the nature / heath areas Loenermark and Postbank of the Veluwezoom nearby
Sitecode: 806
Nice quiet place in the meadow / parking place during the day From 11.00 the visitors of the Ponyhof and the free playground and petting zoo (and facilities) arrive until 18.00 Very nice for children and their supervisors!
Sitecode: 42238
What a gem in the Veluwe for motor home travelers! Quiet field without facilities, but very suitable for a few days of cycling and walking on the Veluwe near Putten
Sitecode: 41849
Beautiful, quiet place on the water near the Rhine, suitable for water sports enthusiasts, cyclists and walkers. Near the harbor with restaurant and nice terrace, supermarket Jumbo around the corner. Current and water are included, as well as the discharge of toilet cassettes. You pay 1 euro for the tokens. After 5 pm you pay 12 euros for overnight accommodation
Sitecode: 53539
Two quiet free camper spots near a large parking lot and near the pleasant center, where a fair happened by chance. Nice starting point for a visit to the Veluwe
Sitecode: 55369
Nice that the municipality of Genemuiden has made camper spots in a quiet, tidy place on the outskirts of the town. Good starting point for a tour through the head of Overijssel. Up to 6 m you can still just park in a parking space, but otherwise you stand in the beautiful flower beds and is a better option
