Great campsite. Spacious pitches, with both sun and shade. Clean sanitary facilities. Bread service. Not far from the center and supermarkets. Everything within cycling distance. View of the Pyrenees and the Pic de Jer. It is worth taking the funicular up. Very enthusiastic owner/manager. She goes to great lengths to make the guests feel comfortable. She is willing to take you to the candlelight procession (9:00 PM) and pick you up in a van.

Great campsite. Plenty of pitches still available at the end of May. Spacious pitches, with both sun and shade. Clean sanitary facilities. Friendly staff. Excellent bread roll service. The small restaurant has a limited menu but sufficient choice. Tourist train stop at the campsite entrance. Castle and supermarket within a 10-minute walk. Plenty of restaurants and outdoor cafes in Amboise. There is a large market in Amboise on Fridays and Sundays.

Nice place but partly old junk. Swampy terrain. WiFi keeps going out. Temperature of shower water is fine but showers are outdated.

Fairly neat campsite, but the rate stated in this app is incorrect. On September 15 I paid β¬25. Plus β¬4 extra for electricity (fixed rate). All in all, quite a lot for a campsite with camper pitches that have no reception and a canteen that is closed. You can discharge dirty water. At least if you know where to find the well (near the largest toilet building). Discharge point is not indicated.

On arrival you need a pass for β¬5 to check in. But how you can get such a pass is completely unclear. After calling the indicated number and paying over the phone with a credit card of 5 β¬ plus 14.60 β¬ (daily rate) we were given a code to open the barrier. Campsite is practically empty. But there are 2 toilet blocks open with hot water. Power connections also work. Snack bar is closed. Promised WiFi is not there.
