After reading criticism of the neighboring campsite, I found this one on Google Maps, right next to the other one, also right by the sea. A particularly friendly welcome with extensive explanations, including how to get to Galway: for €1.90 on bus 402, every half hour near the campsite entrance. The bus does take a bit long, though. Half an hour there, 40 minutes back. Walking along the sea, you can get there in an hour.

I completely agree with the previous three reviews! That short walk to the pub isn't a downside for me 😉.
