Great campsite, friendly welcome. There's a snack bar and shop on site, but you can walk to the village in less than 15 minutes. The service at the snack bar was very friendly, but the selection was limited (including frozen pizza). If you're only staying one night as a camper, you'll get a pitch with little privacy. Relatively expensive: €30 for one night in September, 2 people, 2 dogs, no electricity.

Peaceful, quiet, a well-functioning sanitation station, and free electricity. A few picnic benches, but no shade. The parking spaces are quite spacious and relatively level. The view is superb.

A free CP that makes our camper hearts beat faster. Surrounded by a mountain peak and a flowing river. Well-functioning services. A bakery and restaurant (not open on Mondays and Tuesdays) are in the village. But above all, very quiet. The deer crossing the lawn in the evenings were a bonus.

A great place to stay, next to a football field. It's convenient, quiet, and surrounded by greenery, but not exactly idyllic. We're grateful that this place is offered to us for free, with well-functioning services. Perfect for one night.

For the full price of €3.84, we were able to stay here for a night, with all services included. The campsite is located in a parking lot, so it's not idyllic, but it is convenient. Perfect for an overnight stop while traveling. The adjacent lake and waterfall offer lovely walking opportunities for our dogs.

Quiet campsite next to a former football field. A hedge separates the campsite from the relatively quiet adjacent road. There's a depot de pain in the village. Ideal for a stopover. All amenities are present and working, as are the waste bins. The only downside might be the push-button water dispenser. If you need water, it takes a while.

Here in Kleinschmalkalden we are taken care of. Grateful that such a place is set up for us. Super clean sanitary facilities, accessible with a code, as well as the waste containers. Excellent working sanistation: for 50 cents we also effectively got 50 liters of water. Bakery at 2KM.

If you don't need anything it's a great place with a phenomenal view. There are toilets, but you are kindly requested not to empty your chemical toilet there. Sanitary column still doesn't work. Electricity column looks a bit rickety so we didn't use it. We hoped for a restaurant in the village, but came back empty-handed (call in advance)

The CP is pleasant, nicer than the other CP in the city where we went to dump. A visit to Schneeberg is worth it (nice terraces) but good for the Physics. We ate in the hotel, but that is probably not the best choice. Fairly dry Schnitzel with frozen fries. The hotel supervisor allowed us to put our bag of waste at the water tap, he would then throw it away for us. Friendly staff.

First of all, let us be grateful that such a well-equipped place is set up for us. It is not super nice, but practical. Although the places are a bit short (you should not be longer than 7m) and I do not see how you can turn your camper when it is full. Furthermore, all facilities are present. We did not use the showers and toilet. Tip: Gaststub zur Bimmelbah

If you drive via the Amtsseite-Dorfstraße you don't have to drive down a long steep slope, only the first part is steep. Beware of campers with a step because you can drive them to the ground here. Otherwise it is a very nice place. However, we only got the choice between 'Autark' and with facilities. If you choose Autark you are not even allowed to empty your toilet cassette, although the price for emptying it is not indicated anywhere.

What a gem. No facilities, but you stand very quietly and hear the crickets chirping. It is not easy to find on coordinates our GPS sent us up a street too early. You have to drive between 2 houses into a path and then you end up at this place heaven on earth.

In the 2nd row you stand for 25 EUR and then you have more space and more shade. There is 1 communal shower and 1 shower at the men's toilets + 1 shower at the women's toilets. Clean, you have to walk a bit and walk up a steep ramp. Pirna is nice to visit. 1.5KM walk via the Elbe cycle path. Headroom for the 2 bridges is 3m30, easy to do with our semi-integrated.

Great place. When looking for a CP in this region we were a bit depressed by the reviews, but this CP appealed to us and we were not disappointed. 28 EUR for a night, all facilities available. CP on a very attractive field next to the farm. The places do not seem straight, but we stayed there for 2 nights on 2 different places and 2x we were perfectly level without blocks. We did not use the showers and toilet.

4 stars simply because all facilities are present and work, which is not always evident in this region. Furthermore, it is a rather unattractive place. If you position yourself strategically so that your camper blocks the view of the adjacent company, it is still okay. No, but really no telephone and internet connection. You can take a nice evening walk to the waterfall, the +200 stairs up and back through the forest.

What a nice place to stand. You choose a free spot yourself and put the fee in the house provided for that purpose. Nicely arranged and very friendly owners. All facilities available although grey water discharge is a bit cumbersome.

Simple parking lot. We wanted to spend the night there but when we arrived there were a few cars and a dump truck parked there which made it really not pleasant to stand there. We drove on to a CP a little further on with private individuals

Great view, quiet location. The museum closes at 6pm, so all the tourists disappear by then. The open air museum is definitely worth a visit. We visited the museum, but still had to pay 10 EUR for the CP. The money goes to the foundation that maintains this valuable place, so we paid with pleasure.

Good transit place, but nothing more than that. Narrow driveway, especially if there are other vehicles parked. Quiet, no facilities and close enough to the motorway.

What a nice CP on a lake. The swimming pool will be renovated until 2025, but there were no construction vehicles or site materials on the CP when we were there (Saturday). The village is within walking distance, but it takes some searching to find a suitable restaurant. All amenities available.

Super free overnight stay with all amenities and toilet available in the town hall. Slopes slightly downwards, so blocks are needed if you want to enjoy the view (only a view of the rear seats). An evening walk around the castle. The bakery is 900m away. The Schächerbach tour is highly recommended for hikers.

Excellent CP, the sanitary station is located a little further down the street and is somewhat awkwardly positioned, but it does offer all the necessary functionalities. The CP offers no view, but is enclosed between hedges, which makes it very quiet, but if there are 6 campers there it is pleasantly busy. Oberelsbach is a pleasant village with a bakery within walking distance. You can enjoy a beautiful walk towards the Basalt Prism Wall.

Well-equipped CP at the campsite. The view of the lake is somewhat disappointing from the CP. The kiosk at the campsite has a cozy terrace where you can enjoy a quick bite. Indian dishes are highly recommended in the tavern on the campsite.

Beautifully landscaped CP with very spacious compartments at the free pool (with 50m pool). You can pay via a parking app or with coins. Well equipped sanitary station. No problems with the main road. Within walking distance of the center.

Excellent overnight stay with all amenities within walking distance of the pleasant center of Wetzlar. In the meantime, EUR 12 can be paid digitally with a QR code or directly to the collector. Bread roll service possible.

Beautiful campsite with disproportionately large pitches. The road to the back of the campsite is a bit tight for a camper, here and there the branches could have been pruned away a little better. The welcome from Thierry was very warm. With access to the Drôme, the walking path to Die, the range of evening meals and privacy, this campsite has a lot to offer.

What a beautiful place to spend the night. The village is completely surrounded by ENS area. Beautiful for walking, but dogs are prohibited between May 1 and October 30. (allowed in the village itself and on the CP). At dusk, take a walk to the Porte d'Urle (800m away) for a breathtaking view. There is only 1 approach route via a wide two-lane highway (D76b), contrary to what was written in an earlier review.

Beautiful pitch with a view of a field with picnic benches and the Loire. It is difficult to create shade around the camper during the day, but the picnic benches are between the trees, so you can cool off there. Village center at 1.3KM with bakeries and restaurants. The parking fee is collected in the evening, if you are not there you have to pay at the mairie in the center.

The CP has a lot to offer. A beautiful view, a lake for swimming, walking possibilities, a restaurant nearby, a beach bar where you can eat a pizza or burger and a beautiful village on the hill. To be avoided on Saturdays and Sundays when the weather is nice. It stays busy until well after 8 pm. The places provided were full. We had at least 10 campers in the parking lot, which is allowed if you park neatly in the spaces.

Excellent CP for a night in transit to the south. It's true that there can be some 'noise' from young people until quite late at night, but it didn't bother us. No bakery in the village, but on the way back to the highway you will find a number of supermarkets. All facilities, including sorting bins, are available.

Well laid out CP, all amenities available, within walking distance of the beautiful Aldstadt of Idstein. Perfect starting point for walks.

Very nice place to stay. Walking possibilities, bakery within walking distance, flat pitches. Glass is regularly poured into the containers during the day, but that stops at night. Little noise from the nearby road.

We were only passing through on a winter night, the places in front of the barrier are perfect for that. If you want to sit outside, the places behind the barrier are more appropriate. No amenities. You pay by depositing cash in an envelope in the mailbox next to the entrance gate (envelopes are available). Nice private initiative.

Nice place, close to the cozy city center with shops, cafes and restaurants. 3.5KM walk to the viewing platform over the Biggesee. We did not need electricity and water and were allowed to spend the night at the camper place for EUR 2.50. The place is not suitable for sitting outside, but there are plenty of terraces in the city center.

All amenities are present (the promised WiFi turned out to work on none of our devices). We stayed here for practical reasons (bicycle ride over Col d'Aspin and Tourmalet), but found this CP Camping-Car Park unworthy. The grounds are full of weeds, the picnic area is not inviting to sit down. For that price we expect a slightly better maintained and equipped CP

Wow, what a beautiful place to stay. The terrain is not level (we were on the left side of the road coming from Gavarnie). Very busy, even in September. Beautiful walking in the area. The center of Gavarnie is within walking distance.

A great motorhome with all amenities. Only downside, the offered Wifi does not give the full CP signal. Furthermore, everything you need as a motor home is present. The pitches are flat.

What a beautiful spot has been laid out for us here. Spacious pitches, relatively flat, quiet, views, restaurants in the village (unfortunately closed on Sunday evening). Well-functioning sani column. This motorhome site is worth a stop. Recommended: bike ride to the Canal du Nivernais.

When people open up their beautiful piece of private property for others to enjoy, we can only be thankful for it. We were received by the friendly brother of the owner and were allowed to choose a spot. Quiet night, not bothered by the main road.

The municipality has arranged this well. If you only want to park to visit Brantome, you only pay 1 EUR for 5 hours. Fine, long enough to visit Brantome and have a drink on the terrace! The motorhome looked very cozy and is within walking distance of the mmoie Brantome with shops, restaurants and bakery. We would like to come back to stay overnight.

We only stopped here for a walk (Gorge d'Enfer) and for lunch, but would like to come back for an overnight stay. With enough hedges you seem to be in your private spot. Within walking distance of Les Eyzies, with restaurants, bakery and supermarket. All amenities available.

Beautiful CP, between the oaks on a lake (swimming not allowed). Ideal for those seeking tranquility because there is not really much to do in the village. There is a very nice signposted walk of 10 KM (walk back past the recycling containers and then follow the yellow arrows.)

The sunset is indeed beautiful. It is certainly not an official place, but staying overnight seems to be tolerated. We had a very quiet night there. Since it is not an official place, there are of course no facilities.

Recently constructed CP with very spacious pitches. All facilities are now available. Payment is only possible in cash, but the machine also accepts banknotes. The terrain slopes slightly, so you need blocks in some places. A walking/cycling path behind the motorhome takes you in about 2KM to the car-free center of Idar-Oberstein where you can find a bakery, supermarket, resto and bank.

Excellent CP, in the first row (7 places) nice view. Well-functioning sani column. Spacious pitches. The 6 EUR parking fee is collected by a friendly lady. If she does not come by or you are not present at that time, you walk behind the sani column to 'das bunte haus', where she lives, to pay there. (Recommended 😉). Burg Ulrichstein is worth a visit. Furthermore, the town is not interesting. There are walking possibilities.

We usually don't like the large motorhome pitches at tourist centers. But this motorhome is quite cozy. The square is large, but somewhat interrupted by trees, etc. We were able to stand neatly under a tree in the shade. For 12 EUR everything is included, the fresh water provides sufficient pressure. The sanitary facilities are clean. Both parts of the city are worth a visit. Negatives for the limited payment options: 12 EUR in coins

Easy access to the Diemelsee, the nearby dog beach is a plus. No amenities and difficult to level. Very quiet, no through traffic. Paying with Paypal was very easy, a modern option compared to all CP's with coins in this region. It can be very busy here in high season. On a weekday in June, however, that was not so bad.

Excellent motorhome with all amenities within walking distance of the old town. We stood on the section with marked out places to the left of the station. The pitches are spacious and surrounded by hedges. Additional places are available behind the station.

A gem, this CP has everything. Well-maintained facilities (new), spacious pitches, swimming pool, mini golf, playground and park nearby. Within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Walking & cycling opportunities.

Great place, spacious relatively flat pitches. All facilities are available (we have only discharged gray water, so no information about whether or not the electricity and toilet discharge are functioning). Near lively center with terraces and resto. Sauerland Park within walking distance and worth it. 5€ per 24h. You are surrounded by chirping birds, but the nearby road can be experienced as disturbing.

Very nice place. Starting point for many walks. You can walk to Monschau. There is a village shop, bakery and restaurant in the village. Although it is located right next to the main road, there is hardly any traffic noise. Very neat place.

Excellent overnight stay. It concerns 3 places reserved for motorhomes with electricity in a mixed car park. Only intended for overnight stay or parking. The places are slightly up, if we parked forwards we were standing without any blocks. We ate at the Italian in the village, definitely recommended. The 2nd and 3rd photo are not of this place.

Well-kept place. Well functioning sanitation, bins and picnic benches. Four nicely marked out pitches. Close to the village center. You walk straight into the forest. Nice walk, walk to the center, before the ruins to the left, follow the blue arrows. (8KM). We were not bothered by the traffic.

This remains a nice motorhome for us. The ground does indeed make it a bit dusty or muddy depending on the weather, but the view and the walking and cycling opportunities nearby make the place interesting. Whether the price of 10EUR is justified can be discussed. However, we would love to come back here. On sunny weekends or holidays it may be very busy here due to day trippers.

What a nice camper place. Quiet, beautiful view, all amenities, bread service and spacious pitches. All that for only 9 EUR. The beer sale in the hut is a plus. Traffic from the adjacent lane will not disturb.

Very nice motorhome for those who love peace. All amenities available. Spacious pitches. The road to it is winding but definitely doable. Even in the busy September month it was quiet here.

Please note, the correct location for this CP is on the river (near the fire brigade). Good location for an overnight stay. It is just a parking (overnight stay allowed), so nothing special and no facilities, but within walking distance of the center with bakery and supermarket. An adjacent cycle path makes it an ideal base for cycling trips. If we are offered such a free place, we can only welcome it.

Great place with a very nice view. Discharge area and fresh water available. Supermarket with fresh bread within walking distance. On Thursday morning the bells ring very loudly at 7 am, 8 am and 8:15 am (each time for about 3 minutes).

Cozy little campsite. The gate was closed on arrival. When I followed the instructions on the gate, ie calling an Italian number, mother who takes care of things when Paulo is not around for a while started gesturing at me. Very friendly, but she only speaks Italian. We were not allocated the best place for one night, but the places are spacious. The free Electro and Wifi is not super good. 28 EUR All inclusive. What a nice place to stay. The pitches are spacious enough to be able to open your awning. The sanitary facilities are cleaned several times a day. A warm welcome, the manager is happy to help you check in at the modern machine. Thanks to the owners for setting up this place for us.

Very friendly welcome, place can be chosen yourself on the basis of a plan that lists the prices of the places (price depends on the size of the place). We immediately received an explanation about the hiking options to the waterfall and information about bakery, supermarket, etc. Approx. 40 EUR for 2 pers. + a dog (including electricity). Quiet campsite with beautiful mountain views. Just sanitary.

Perhaps a very nice campsite for people with children. All amenities available, 2 restaurants and a mini-market. Playground and swimming possibility. Sanitary is very clean. However, for us (couple without children) it was way too busy and pricey. EUR 47.80 for 2 people and a dog in one of the least attractive places on the campsite.

Nice campsite, very clean, renovated sanitary facilities. The welcome was very friendly. For us one of the better campsites we have visited in Austria and price/quality (by Austrian standards) is top. We paid approx. 30 EUR for a night with 2 people.

Nicely landscaped motorhome in the city. Each place has its own sani column and terrace. Tight to drive in. With our 6m70 it was not obvious. Construction is currently underway just in front of the CP. We were not much bothered by this. Owner came by to ask if everything was okay. Very friendly reception.

Great place for one night. It does not seem to us an official motorhome. It's just the parking lot of the municipal banquet hall. Nice view of the river. We had a quiet night there. We were there with 2 campers. However, when we arrived around 4 pm on Sunday afternoon, the parking lot was full of cars because of a wedding party in the banquet hall. However, around 7 p.m. the parking lot emptied.

Nice place in the car park of the Alternative Bärenpark Worbis (Worth a visit). Very quiet. No facilities but fine for transit.

Nicely decorated place. Hiking opportunities nearby. All facilities in order. We were there in June 2020. Then we went to eat at the Belgian Greek nearby. However, that restaurant is no longer there, the owners have opened a new business in Bruges. 😁

It is, in our opinion, difficult to find a pleasant motorhome in this area. This is definitely one of the better ones. Friendly welcome, bread service, simple but tasty restaurant nearby. The only reason why I only give 3 stars is because we do not get excited about how this motorhome is furnished. Practical but not so attractive. Definitely good for one or a few nights. All amenities available.

This is no longer a camper place. There is a sign prohibiting parking for motorhomes between 10pm and 6am.

Great motorhome. All facilities present and in order. We were on the street side and you can indeed hear the traffic from the street. Not disturbing for us though. (we were here in transit). Good base to visit the pleasant town. Market on Saturday morning in the traffic-calmed center of Brilon.

This is not an official motorhome in my opinion. It is not signposted anywhere. It's the cemetery parking lot. The glass spheres are also frequently used. We had a quiet night there. Bakery, butcher and supermarket within walking distance.

Beautiful place with fantastic view. Water, electricity, discharge toilet cassette are available. It is not yet possible to discharge gray water, but we are working on it. Sanitary available. We paid 10EUR for one night. No bakery in the village, but bread is supplied from the bar tabac.

Since 03/2021 new, friendly, French-speaking owners. Still a bit uncomfortable, but clearly with a desire to make something beautiful out of it. Anyone looking for a luxury campsite with swimming pool and entertainment has come to the wrong place. However, if you like peace and quiet, this is a very nice place to stay. Walcourt is within walking distance, les lacs de de l'eau d'heure within cycling distance. The 'own' beers in the cozy bar are an added value!

Well-maintained campsite. Friendly patrons. Snack bar (with delicious burgers). We paid EUR 18.40 for 2 persons, dog and electricity. The only downside is that filling the water tank for campers is not free (2 €), which I would expect for that price.

Nice camper place on a rather bumpy terrain. Need blocks. The nicest of the 2 motorhome pitches in the village, although many motor home owners seem to prefer the other motorhome. Facilities a few hundred meters further, on the 2nd camper place.

Whaaauuuw! Places like these are the reason why we camp. Peace, views, a swimming lake, beautiful paved walk around the lake. Unfortunately, we could not swim because of an algae on the water.

A quiet small campsite with a private beach. Clean sanitary facilities. Friendly patrons. There is not much to do in the village, although it is worth doing the ascent to the church (view). Bakery and supermarket available.

The facilities and hospitality are below average. When the owner came to collect, we were informed that our dog was not welcome. However, we were allowed to stay as it was only for 1 night. The next morning his mood was turned. We had to leave with our dog before breakfast. Paid 15 EUR, for nothing. There is no electricity, discharge of water and toilet was unclear. The man is a thief.

Great place in transit. There are a number of restaurants nearby. Near a main road, but that didn't bother us at night. The places are narrow, I do not think you can put 5 campers in the designated places. It is quite a challenge to let the waste water run into the designated drainage hole (the lid must be able to open under the waste water outlet)

Great place to stay overnight in transit. Near the cozy old town area where you can have a terrace. The places provided are narrow. Even if it is only for parking it seems difficult to use the 16 spaces provided. Campers longer than 6m can stand there with the butt over the lawn. (our camper is 6m70 and that went fine).

We planned to only park for a visit to the city, but ended up staying there for the night. Facilities available. +/- 1KM to the cozy city center. Quiet place (when we were there the panorama bath was closed so it could be busier if it is open).
