Great campsite for a stopover. Clean restrooms (unfortunately, no toilet seats), spacious grassy pitches. Friendly owner. Pricey though, at 26 euros in the low season for a campervan with two people and electricity. Highly recommended.
Sitecode: 21178
Excellent overnight pitches (7 campers), greywater and toilet emptying, and drinking water available. Restaurants and bars within walking distance. Quiet night, with permitted pitches in the adjacent parking lot. Thanks to the municipality. Highly recommended.

Couldn't find the coordinates, and we had a terrible time navigating the very narrow streets. Lots of one-way streets, making it hard to find your way. It must have been our fault, so do your best to get there. I'm glad we got away without any damage. I had to give it one star to write this review. The place might actually deserve 5 stars, sorry.

Great for a free stopover. Grey water and toilet cassette emptying, drinking water available, and trash containers. Tree-lined parking. Chinese market around the corner. A few minutes' walk to the town center with shops and plenty of restaurants. Highly recommended, thanks to the municipality.

I don't really want to write a review because otherwise everyone would come to this campsite. But the friendly owners deserve a review. No campervan experience, and yet they set up and run a campsite like this. David & Gine, you're the best! Thank you for five incredibly enjoyable days. Beautiful surroundings with plenty of cycling opportunities, spacious pitches with electricity and water, clean sanitary facilities, a swimming pool, and a cozy campsite bar. We'd love to see you next year.

We went there last year too, and I can't imagine a tour of Spain without visiting Jan and Suzy. I agree with previous reviews. Beautiful cycling routes. No way to empty greywater or toilet cassettes, but clean sanitary facilities. Spacious pitches, lots of privacy. We saw a beautiful sunrise (see photo). One campervan for 2 people with electricity costs 24 euros. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

See my previous review. This time I had a bad night's sleep due to a lot of noise. Probably from the neighbors behind me, which is a shame. But it's still a great location. Power and water in every spacious paved spot. Toilets and fresh baguettes are available at the shop, and showers are €3. Highly recommended.

Great place to explore the city. Huge parking lot, water refills, and gray water and toilet emptying just outside the gate. Not exactly refreshing if the person in front of you doesn't flush everything down the drain. Trash cans are available. Too bad about the stray dogs. Everything is free, thanks to the municipality. Highly recommended.
Sitecode: 54849
Excellent camper site, with greywater disposal and a toilet. The outer edge of the parking lot is for campers. Clean, paved surface and beautiful views over the valley. Large supermarket and China store on the other side of the parking lot. There were 20 campers there. Thanks to the municipality. Recommended.

I'm not writing anything about Camping Nirvana, sorry. Just read all the previous reviews and you'll know enough. Itziar and Juan, you're not campsite owners to us, you're family. And Bernard's memorial was a real blessing; we were glad we were there. Love you forever.

A friendly welcome from the helpful owner, Andre. A small campsite with spacious, flat, paved pitches. Two showers (one temporarily out of service). The campsite is situated in a wooded area, offering many cycling and walking opportunities. Emptying the grey water and toilet cassette is possible. The access road and bridge are no problem for campers of 8 to 9 meters. A prime location in a beautiful setting. We stayed for three nights and will definitely return. Highly recommended.

We can't imagine a tour of Portugal without a visit to Paula & Bobby. It feels like coming home every time. Excellent and clean restrooms. A small bar where you can enjoy a drink and delicious tapas or a pizza (or a chili pepper...). And with a bit of luck, a beautiful sunset. Wonderful walks in a stunning setting. Thanks again for your hospitality and see you next time.
Sitecode: 53475
Totally agree with the previous review. It's only locals there now; if you say hello, they look the other way. It could be a good place to be, but not for us. We left immediately.

A friendly welcome at a neat and tidy city campsite. Excellent clean bathrooms, a wonderful shower. A Lidl is just around the corner, as is the castle, plenty of restaurants and bars, and we enjoyed delicious tapas at A Piscana. A campervan for 2 people with electricity costs €12.50. Highly recommended.
Sitecode: 100929
A friendly welcome, a cluttered campsite with very dated but clean sanitary facilities. The shower head gives a warm, individual splash of water. Just before you shower, there's a puddle. After a bit of rain and even in a drizzle, the inside of your campervan looks a mess. But it's worth it for a visit to the city. And the price is definitely worth it. Campervan for 2 people, electricity €6.94. Perfect, isn't it?
Sitecode: 103760
A friendly welcome from the reception staff. Only (small) shady spots. Dated but clean restrooms. Shower water drained poorly, but I got really clean feet, haha. A taxi for the challenging (ours took 6 hours) but beautiful walk there and back cost €35.00. The campsite is close to the center and has restaurants and cafes. A campervan for 2 people with electricity costs €14.50 per night. Recommended.

Unfortunately, it was too narrow for our campervan; I was already stuck with both mirrors, and it got even narrower. I didn't want to continue with the mirrors folded up. So I backed out. There is a sign for campervans with a width of 3 meters. I have my doubts. But it's nice that the municipality offers this. Too bad for us, but we kept driving.
Sitecode: 22958
Cheap, paid, narrow (electric) pitches for short campers. We were on the lower level of a free, large field (no electricity). Loud dog barking (not from the campsite) until 2:00 AM and then again at 5:30 AM. A pleasant, walkable town center with restaurants and cafes. The stunning river view from the campsite, as described in previous reviews, is completely lost on me. Lots of flies during the day, and then the mosquitoes. Still, thanks to the municipality for this campsite. Highly recommended.
Sitecode: 52532
A friendly welcome, check-in at the restaurant across from the campsite. Spacious, shady paved pitches with a view of a beautiful reservoir. A lovely 35-kilometer cycling route around the lake. Dated but clean sanitary facilities. Campervan (2 people) with electricity costs €20 per night.
Sitecode: 10855
Excellent free parking in a charming village with plenty of restaurants and cafes. Only four spaces, but overnight stays are permitted in the adjacent parking lot. Between 5 and 20 campers were parked there. We stayed two nights. Emptying the grey water and toilet cassette was possible, but water was available. The paid toilet wouldn't open. Wonderful cycling and walking along the river. The train wasn't a nuisance. Kudos to the municipality. Highly recommended.

Very friendly and helpful owners. Small campsite on a large estate where you can enjoy lovely walks. We had a tour and explanation of the estate, very interesting. The bus stops in front of the campsite, €2.70 to the charming town center with squares and plenty of restaurants. We visited the castle, but unfortunately, it wasn't working. Clean sanitary facilities, great toilet emptying facilities, fantastic. We stayed two nights instead of one, one campervan for two people, electricity €18.00 per night. Highly recommended.
Sitecode: 40230
A friendly welcome, a small campsite nestled in greenery. Dated but clean sanitary facilities, excellent shower. There's a bar and outdoor terrace. A large swimming pool with clean (fresh) water, but I still wanted to take a dip. Excellent campsite, highly recommended.
Sitecode: 64989
Friendly welcome. Nice and clean bathroom facilities. We stayed upstairs with a beautiful view of the sea and the cliffs. The village was within walking distance, with many bars and restaurants. We weren't keen on cycling in the area. One campervan for two people cost €31.00 including electricity. Highly recommended.
Sitecode: 161902
A friendly welcome. Spacious, shady pitches; you can choose your own spot. Dated but clean sanitary facilities. A very quiet campsite in a wooded setting. Lovely walks from the campsite. One campervan for two people costs €25.00, including electricity. Highly recommended.
Sitecode: 92532
It's great that the municipality offers this and keeps it well-maintained, kudos! Two or three paved camper pitches, water available, and you can empty your toilet cassette. Electricity is also available, and there's even a picnic table. Everything is free. A nice café and pharmacy are within walking distance. And there's a cheap gas station. Thank you, municipality.

Friendly and amicable welcome by Wendy. Our 2nd visit as a conclusion to a tour of Portugal/Spain and we will keep it that way. Paved areas, clean sanitary facilities. Some of the sanitary facilities are currently being rebuilt. Lots of information available for cycling and walking, beautiful surroundings. Register in the cozy brown café. Recommended.

Excellent (fairly large) campsite to stay overnight from north to south vv. Friendly welcome in English. Swimming pool closed, the snack bar is open for an hour. Beautiful sanitary facilities, unfortunately half of the toilets closed despite the fact that it was busy at the campsite. Plenty of space in the afternoon, later very busy, many Dutch people. Great stopover for 1 or more nights. 1 camper, 2 people 17 euros with electricity. Recommended
Sitecode: 46574
Very friendly welcome by English speaking young lady. Spacious campsites with grass or gravel. Very dated (clean) sanitary facilities, no toilet seats, no toilet paper, bar closed, swimming pool closed. Then 26.50 for 2 people with camper (incl. electricity) is quite expensive. However, a favorable location near the highway. So despite the negative points, we will come back here quietly. But that sanitary facilities........
Sitecode: 58656
As of today the campsite is closed until mid-March. Excellent campsite, shop, bread service, restaurant. Very friendly welcome in Dutch and helpful with placing your camper, watch out for low-hanging branches. Direct access to beautiful sandy beach, shops and bars within walking distance. 2 pers with camper 24.32 per night with electricity. Beautiful, sufficient new clean sanitary facilities. Recommended.
Sitecode: 108308
Great place to stay, 14 euros 2 pers. Clean concrete surface, 26 spots, laundry done, camper washed for 4 euros, and weighed for 2 euros. By bike to Totana easy to do, definitely visit tapas bar Pacuco and sit at the bar, great tapas. Everything is there, electricity and water, we were alone. Report to the shop, barrier. Recommended.

Planning was 2 days, but after an enthusiastic welcome from the jovial Flemish owners Jan and Suzy you just don't want to leave. And certainly not after you've seen the campsites. Spacious places, phenomenal view and beautiful sunsets. Small-scale campsite, 2 toilets, 2 showers, very clean. No shade, so use your awning. Nice swimming pool. Very much to see in the area. We stayed 4 days and will definitely come back.
Sitecode: 56624
Friendly welcome, for the 3rd time at this campsite. We don't like cycling to Malaga and prefer to take the bus. You are really not allowed to go to Malaga on the boulevard, see fines being written out. Sanitary facilities vary in cleanliness, some guests make a mess of it, antisocial. Excellent bread service. Very many bars in the area. We paid 154 euros for 7 days, 1st row, 1 camper, 2 pers. Shower 1 euro, 3.5 min. We will definitely come back.
Sitecode: 159232
Camper place open since February and under construction by Dutch owners. Now only 1 toilet and 1 shower in one room, really not handy. Large places with little to no shade, can be solved partly with your awning. Swimming pool is more of a plunge pool but in hot weather ok to cool off. Very friendly welcome by Najma who has big plans to make it a top location. Beautiful surroundings, we will definitely come back.
Sitecode: 100855
Arrived on September 16, initially for one day to celebrate my birthday. But after an enthusiastic welcome and a free drink during check-in you can already feel it. We stayed for 4 days, nice drinks with some locals and good music in the background, wonderful. Clean sanitary facilities, large pitches, beautiful surroundings. Little shade to solve with your awning. Nice walk to Villablanca. Itziar and Juan, you are the best, thanks!!!
Sitecode: 30084
Quiet city camping, friendly reception. Spacious places, little shade can be solved with awning. Dated sanitary facilities clean and more than sufficient. Around the corner a lidl and good food at a piscina. 1 camper, 2 pers 12.50 pn. Recommended
Sitecode: 100369
Space for 2 campers, we were alone. No facilities but what a great view over the valley, the mountains, vineyards and the river. Super friendly owner, and delicious wine products. We bought a box of delicious dessert wine. A pleasure to be here, thank you for creating this possibility. Ton & Vera
Sitecode: 44195
Excellent (city) campsite. Friendly welcome by English speaking lady. Spacious paved places, lots of shade and sun. Dated sanitary facilities but clean. Stray cats seen but no problems at all. Free large swimming pool next to the campsite, use of parasol and sunbeds 3 euros. Pay cash, a Frenchman paid by card and was out of pocket 10 euros and angry. Village with cafes, walking distance. Stayed 2 nights, 1 camper, 2 pers. more than 12 euros per night. Top
Sitecode: 103810
Stayed at this beautiful campsite for 3 nights. Warm welcome, spacious pitches with shade and/or sun. You can choose your own pitch. Beautifully clean sanitary facilities, and a nice (saltwater) swimming pool. Did 2 beautiful cycling routes, very worthwhile. We will do the walking route next time because we will definitely come back. We paid 31 euros per night, camper 2 pers. Edith and Jan, you have created a great campsite, really great. Ton & Vera

Stayed one night on September 4th. Great place to continue afterwards. Short walk along a pond through the park to stretch your legs. Space for approx. 8 campers. Later more arrived and are allowed to park in the parking lot next to it. But leave at 07.30. At 07.45 the police came for a check. Nothing wrong with that. Empty the toilet and waste water tank and fill up with water. Containers for waste available. Great stopover, everything free, kudos to the municipality.
Sitecode: 45537
Friendly welcome, wide choice of camping spots. Swimming pool, terrace and restaurant with small menu but delicious dishes for affordable prices. Farm animals walk freely over the campsite, very nice. Clean sanitary facilities, great campsite.
Sitecode: 74364
Been here for the 2nd time, and certainly not for the last time. Great camping spots, swimming pool and beautiful sanitary facilities (please don't complain about a shower curtain) then rather drive on. Friendly welcome, nice bar hanging out, good restaurant. We paid 25.50 including electricity, camper with 2 people. And got a bottle of water and a bottle of wine. We will definitely come back here.

Spent 6 days with the camper in October. Nice area with many terraces on the beach. I contradict previous reviews about cycling along the beach/boulevard. It is prohibited and I have received a warning from the police. He just gave a picture to a cyclist so we got away well. Went by bus later, 1.70 pp. Much safer and Malaga in the dark is beautiful and super fun. Small campsites but will definitely come back. Recommended.
Sitecode: 86404
Stayed with the camper for one night on October 25. Our last day of 4 weeks in Spain. Bad weather now, but very happy that we ended up here by chance. Welcoming reception from Wendy in a beautiful and cozy brown café on the campsite with delicious beers. Beautiful surroundings with many walking and cycling opportunities. Dated sanitary facilities but clean, lovely shower. A place to come back to. Wendy, thank you and certainly see you next year. Recommended
Sitecode: 100372
It is open until October 31st. Went by, walked around for fifteen minutes but saw no one. Called, not answered. Waited another fifteen minutes and looked. There is an unclear sign with fermee at the beginning. Must be the campsite. I think, too bad. Must give 1 star otherwise no review will be posted. Too bad too......
Sitecode: 2058
Stayed for 2 nights, was quite busy on the weekend. Of the 3 toilet buildings, only one is open. Swimming pool closed, restaurant and bar also closed. Wifi hardly works. Spacious campsites. Expensive for what is offered, 27.10 per night, camper with 2 people, including electricity.
Sitecode: 50507
Friendly welcome by the hostess. Spacious campsites, clean sanitary facilities. Lovely swimming pool. Lots of flies that affect several campsites and the owners cannot do anything about it. Grab chilled drinks and write them down, pay later. Recommended.
Sitecode: 52998
Excellent free overnight stay on hard surfaces. Woke up early by trains. Waste containers available. The beers in the Brasserie are not to my taste, tried all the tap beers and finally a bottle. I'm a beer drinker but not one appeals to me. But don't let my taste buds stop you, the Brasserie is definitely worth a visit, nostalgically decorated, regional products for sale and friendly staff. Recommended.
Sitecode: 53367
We stayed with the camper for 3 nights on October 6, 7 and 8. Friendly welcome. First we looked for a nice place. Actually, only the lowest sites have beautiful mountain views. Reservoir is virtually invisible due to low water level. Shady campsites with lots of privacy. Large swimming pool with crystal clear (salt instead of chlorine) water, wonderful! Daily fresh bread service. Sufficient and clean sanitary facilities. €21.00 pn, 2 pers. incl. electricity. Recommended!
Sitecode: 100929
October 4, spent 1 night with the camper. Welcoming reception and just look where you stand. Lots of space, shade and privacy. Sanitary facilities adequate, very dated but clean. Fine. Ideal for exploring the city and doing shopping at Aldi or Lidl, where there is ample parking. Delicious food in the city. We paid less than €7.00 including electricity and 2 people. We will definitely come back, highly recommended.
Sitecode: 77353
October 3, spent 1 night with the camper. Hospitable and enthusiastic reception by (Dutch) owner Waldemar. Campsites without shade, so be creative with an awning, sheet or simply sit on the shady side of your camper (it was 35 degrees). Swimming pool large enough to cool off. Sufficient and clean sanitary facilities. Large area behind the campsite for walking. Campsite set up with eco thoughts for which kudos. We paid €27.00 for 2 people. Recommended
Sitecode: 92656
Arrived September 30 for 3 nights. We were here 2 years ago and we really wouldn't do a tour of Portugal without visiting Paula and Bobby. Beautiful views wherever you stand. Sufficient and very clean sanitary facilities. Very beautiful and very quiet walking area. Swimming pool to cool off, great! And a cozy bar to chat. Thanks Paula for the delicious pizzas, and Bobby explained some rugby rules, thank you. Great location!!
Sitecode: 74364
From Burgos exit 17, drive through the gas station and report at the bar. Spacious campsites, with sun and shade. You hear the road and the occasional train, no problem for us. Great luxurious showers, don't understand the comments about curtains and the lack of hooks. We paid 21.70 with ACSI card for 1 night, 2 people and received a large cold bottle of water at check-in. Restaurant cheap and delicious food. Top campsite, recommended.
Sitecode: 58481
Arrived on September 26. Friendly welcome but designated campsite very gloomy due to vegetation, not a ray of sunshine to be seen. The lady behind reception was very helpful in pointing out a beautiful sunny spot on the river. Sanitary facilities dated and toilets without a toilet seat, but that is not a problem for us, everything is clean. Bar unfortunately closed. Excellent campsite with lots of greenery. Recommended, we will be back.
Sitecode: 30084
Real city camping without the noise of a city. Friendly welcome. Ample sanitary facilities (dated) but very clean and a big 10 for the showers. Nice place with many restaurants, all a short walk away. Also ideal for replenishing your stock of groceries. Discoharry is not bothered by it yet. We will definitely come back here. Ton and Vera
Sitecode: 100829
Arrived on November 18 for a few days, that has become 6. A new campsite situated on a mountain top where different levels have been created so that all places have a beautiful view of the surroundings. And what a view! The sympathetic proud owners Helena and David are heartwarming. All facilities available, including a bar with terrace and swimming pool. Nice place Alcoutin nearby. We will definitely come back. Ton and Vera
Sitecode: 72748
Peaceful site in the hands of friendly young owners. Welcoming reception by Alexandre. 2 toilets combined with shower. We came on November 12 for 2 nights, that became 6. But occasionally at night roosters and dogs in the neighborhood. 10 minutes by bike to a delicious tapas bar, 30 minutes by bike to the lovely town of Portimeo. Visit the caves! We will definitely come back. Camper with 2 pers at € 13.00. Recommended! Ton and Vera
Sitecode: 92656
A truly beautiful location with warm and hospitable owners who make you feel at home. We came for 1 night, that became 3. Spacious pitches and clean and modern sanitary facilities. In the afternoon, have a drink in the bar. Paula, thank you for the delicious snacks. Seen the most beautiful places in the area from Bobby, beautiful walking area for bird watching, Baie Dankie. Paula & Bobby, you are the best. Ton & Vera
