A nice, in some places sufficiently flat place. A WoMo sign now expressly identifies it as a parking space for overnight stays. The lake is directly on the other side of the street, and the dam is a ten-minute walk away. The road is not particularly busy during the day and it is pleasantly quiet at night. You can wake up to the sound of trees and the chirping of birds.

As of today, May 25th, 2021 the place is open. However, only four motorhomes are allowed to use the space at the same time. ATTENTION, the electricity system is currently failing frequently. The deposited money is then gone. A technician was there earlier and fixed it. An hour later everything was dead again. As already written here, the square is beautiful, calm and green. Disposal is free, the column wants to see one euro for fresh water.

The place is beautifully green, you stand on a flat gravel surface. The old town is about 15 minutes on foot. The payment machine takes money and cards (€ 7 / night) and the power posts are in operation. Electricity is included in the 7 € and every plot has a connection, which is far from self-evident. All in all, a great pitch at an absolutely fair price. I will definitely come back here again.

Nice free space at a sports center. I'm passing through late at night, so I won't notice anything around. The location is good - a short way back to the motorway - nice that municipalities make such spaces available. Big thank you for that!

Nice place, just like a pool table and beautifully located. Although it is right on the street, it can hardly be heard. When I arrived today, I only understood "now free because of Corona" from the preliminary assessment: Disposal, fresh water and electricity would normally be included in the parking space fees (€ 5 per night, max. Stay 5 nights) but since the indoor pool is closed due to the corona, you can't get to the parking ticket machines. A sign says: "No parking tickets are currently being sold". So then!

Another jewel on the edge of the Ruhr area. Get out of town quickly and land in Hemer. € 2 per day at the parking ticket machine. Flat places on grass. The street is quiet at night. You can hike from the site directly into the green, the spectacular sea of rocks is close! The pizzeria Luna is within walking distance, inexpensive Italian and delicious.

My all time favorite place. I've been coming back here for almost 20 years. It's a great weekend getaway from the Ruhr area. The place began as an urban Womoplatz with supply and disposal and parking ticket machine (6 €) between spring and autumn. Outside of the times, the overnight stay was free. At some point the campsite next door took over the management of the site, the price rose to 8 € but the trash cans were emptied more regularly, there was bread delivery service on the car, friendly staff came around twice a day and gave out parking tickets. It now costs € 10 a day, the space was officially extended to the large rear meadow and should now have several hundred parking spaces. The area is huge, but there is never any crowd. Sure, in midsummer at the weekend is on the beach of Lake Halligalli. But late in the evening you can still go into the water with dogs. It's idyllic.

Good parking lot with a designated area for motorhomes. No utilities, you should be self-sufficient for the night. Beautiful city center with picturesque medieval buildings within easy walking distance. Recommendation: Super crispy pork knuckle with fried potatoes in the Rheinbach brewery!

A designated area for motorhomes in a public parking lot. No supply and disposal but a power column for four mobiles. The places have a medium slope, wedges are required. A beautiful place in the EIfel, you can walk straight from the pitch into the surrounding nature. The only thing is that the Kelberger himself has a strangely obsessive relationship with power machines. I have never seen such an idyllic spot on earth where there is such a din all day. Once a day a man comes with a small orange cube, he sits in it, an airport sweeper and he sweeps the lawn behind the parking lot. This takes about an hour and during that time you cannot hear your own thoughts. On the second day the trees were tended all around with chainsaws with a RIesen lifting platform. The place serves as a training ground for a truck / bus driving school. Nice vehicles, well maintained, no question but make a noise like on the highway. I had two good nights there and did a lot of hiking. But in good time you should have ear plugs ready.

Nice centrally located place with supply / disposal. Some places with electricity. Slightly sloping gravel place (simple wedges are sufficient). Stay is free. You can hike beautifully in the area from Mendig. A visit to the gastronomy of the volcanic brewery is recommended!
