A quiet campsite with well shaded grass pitches - this was very welcome when we stayed in May 2026 when it was 30° +. The staff are very friendly & helpful, the restaurant, bar and pool were all open. Nant is a charming village within walking distance with a good choice of bars, restaurants and artisan shops. The sanitary is a bit dated but everything is clean and tidy. A good place to while away a few lazy days.

A decent size camping park on the site of an old thermal bath resort. The facilities are modern and clean and there is an area of woodland you let dogs off the lead. A short drive from St Giron, perfect for visiting the large Saturday market. Our only criticism - the showers were tepid!

A very basic site with old fashioned facilities but a just 15 mins from St Jean Du Luz and 10mins from the La Rhune train station, we visited in early May and the pitches were spacious and grassy under the trees and the tracks dry and not muddy. Excellent value too at only €18 with electric.

A pleasant Aire in a quiet spot behind the church, next to a park with fabulous views over the Loire. There are trees for shade, electric, toilet and water. it’s free to park but €5 to use the water & electric (although they are not locked) pay at the tourist office which is next to the toilet. The waste disposal is bit broken otherwise would be 5 stars

This is a big campsite run by Eden so has lots of facilities and all in good order. There is a variety of places to stay, camper vans, tents, cabins etc. The camper pitches are mostly glass and quite level. The bar & restaurant are nice with a balcony, the menu was varied, the food good quality with generous portions. Facilities are modern & clean. The location is next to the Airport but the planes are infrequent and weren’t loud so it was fine.

Situated a few kilometre from Cain, the start of the Route de Cares, this site has a beautiful location in a valley between the mountains and has a relaxed atmosphere with trees giving shade for grass pitches. The facilities are clean and well maintained. The road up to the site in now mostly tarmac and not a problem. The restaurant is excellent and staff very friendly. We loved it!

This Aire is perfect. You pay at the barrier by card, the spaces are shady on grass and the WiFi is free! Vouvant is very beautiful and it’s just a few mins walk to bars, cafe, shops, excellent!

The campsite is very pleasant but the distance to the centre of Tours is 7.5km, so not the 2km to the ‘centre’ in the description. Perhaps it’s 2km from Joue Les Tours which is a suburb of Tours.

We found this campsite very pleasant. The staff at reception were friendly and efficient, the site itself has good sized grassy pitches set among the trees so it’s very shady and sanitary blocks were modern and clean. It’s also in a great location, a short walk from the centre of Chartres along the river bank. We walked into town to see the illuminations which were stunning, the town itself has many medieval buildings and well worth a visit.

Definitely worthy of 5 stars, lovely well kept site with spacious grassy pitches, facilities all looked very new and spotless, short drive into Honfleur and a supermarket and petrol station nearby.

Stayed here in 2018 and again in 2022. There are a lot less pitches for touring caravans and campers now compared with our pre-covid trip, the space being taken up with cabins, but the facilities are still as good as we remembered. Has good facilities for children so seems to attract families and a younger clientele than other sites we’ve visited.

This is basically just a large grassy field on the edge of the village with no marked plots and no facilities. The sign says parking is allowed from 8am to 11pm and caravanning isn’t permitted… however there is no gate and on the night we stayed there were 8 other camper vans staying the night!

This was our little piece of heaven in the heatwave of 2019. The site is in a gorge so is cool at night, in mid summer the sun comes over the hills about 9am, there are plenty of trees so there are shady plots available. The facilities are very basic but clean, The site is very picturesque with a stream alongside and it’s short walk to a fantastic village with cafe & restaurant.

We stayed here for one night while on route to the south. We found everything fine. The pitches are mostly level grass, a few slightly sloping with easy access from a concrete drive. The toilet block was clean and tidy. No loo seats or toilet paper but that’s not unusual. The site is a perfect base to visit Laon from, about 3k to walk or 12 minute drive. We had 4G so didn’t bother Wi-fi.

Found this site a very pleasant stopover on our way south from Calais. The pitches are grass and quite spacious and very quiet. The facilities aren’t new but well maintained and everything looked clean.
