We stayed here for one night in September 2026. Overnight stays were no problem; it was relatively quiet at night. The city center is easily accessible by bike – there are many nice restaurants there. The old town is worth seeing. A sign at the fairground simply indicates that parking campervans is not permitted, which is a good thing, otherwise it would only be occupied by long-term parkers.

€15 for 24 hours, including water and waste disposal (electricity, fresh water, chemical toilet disposal, grey water). Motorhome owners must pay immediately upon entry, unlike cars, which only pay when leaving the parking area. There is a cycle path around the lake, but it's not well signposted. Perfectly adequate for a day trip.

Advantages: It's free, and the parking area is right next to the bike path, making Flensburg easily accessible. Otherwise, it's a dusty road lined with motorhomes parked lengthwise. You should be able to reverse, as it's a dead end and motorhomes park in every nook and cranny.

This campsite is suitable for those who don't need luxury and don't want to spend their time at the campsite, but rather explore the area. Parking costs €10 per night. A tourist tax of €2.50 per person per day is also charged, meaning that for one night, two days must be paid. Cycle paths are available, some quite bumpy, and relatively quiet at night, despite the campsite being located on the main road.

The campsite is fine. We paid €24 for one night for two people. Sanitary facilities are available, as are water and waste disposal points; however, you have to carry your rubbish to the harbor for disposal. We only stayed one night. The observation tower is recommended. Entry costs €1.

The access road to the parking area is very narrow. In some places, two motorhomes can't pass each other. At €35 per night, this parking area with a harbor view is in the higher price range. There's also the option of parking for 30 minutes free of charge, after which you can continue your journey. We did that.

Further back near the Ferris wheel are three parking spaces for campervans. A 24-hour day ticket costs €24. Payment is accepted by card or coins. There are no water or waste disposal facilities. We stayed one night, and it was quiet. However, there's a bar right next door, which wasn't very busy due to the rain. The price is too high for what's offered.

Thanks to the city for this opportunity to stay overnight for free. The old town is 1.6 km away – either on foot or by bicycle. A lovely path leads directly past the parking area. Unfortunately, so-called "long-term parkers" leave their motorhomes here to avoid paying for a parking space all year round. This is problematic for motorhomes over 6 meters in length, as the parking spaces are too short.

Perfect for one night. The city is very beautiful, especially beautifully lit at night. We were here at the end of September. However, you have to be self-sufficient.

We spent a quiet night here at the end of September. Supplies and waste disposal are available here – a small donation is expected, and you can drop the money into the box. Ideal for continuing on to Hungary.
