A warm welcome: we called late Sunday morning to ask if there was room. The restaurant was full, as was the parking lot, but with a concerted effort, they made room for our campervan, and we were served delicious platters of antipasti, pasta, and salads for both lunch and dinner. And wine, of course. Then we had a peaceful night in the beautiful autumnal countryside. A top location.

A real transit campsite. By the end of September, many facilities had already been disconnected. What was open was clean. Quite a few regulars stay in old caravans who work nearby. Excellent pizzas in the restaurant. Modane isn't exactly sparkling.
