Great campsite in a nice, quiet spot. The sanitary facilities are a bit dated, but well-maintained and clean. We enjoyed our 6-day stay here. The only downside: Wi-Fi only at the reception is outdated, hence the 3 stars.

A very nice/beautiful campsite with very friendly (Dutch) owners. All amenities are available and the Wi-Fi is very good. There is a small restaurant with delicious dishes, including schnitzel, which is highly recommended. And they also have delicious homemade apple pie, available for takeaway as well π. In short, we had 3 great days!

It is a nice campsite in itself, but the price is exorbitantly high. For one night with electricity, it is NOK 500. This is the most expensive campsite for us so farβand we have already been touring for 7 weeks. We have stayed at nicer/better ones that were cheaper and more attractive. The Wi-Fi is also poor.

The man behind the reception desk is not a talker. The only clarity he provides: 4 meters distance. Well, the man didn't pay attention to that, because in the evening the pitches were enclosed, about 2 meters on both sides. Someone mentioned it before: cramming as many customers as possible onto the site and not moving with the times otherwise. Everything is severely outdated and it wasn't clean either. In short, this campsite is not worth its price of NOK 450 for one night.

A very beautiful campsite with very friendly staff. We stayed here for 3 nights, everything was perfect! In terms of facilities, many other campsites could learn a thing or two from this one.

The "roundabout," the place where campers are supposed to park, is too far from the sanitary building, especially if you have mobility issues. The artificial grass where you can park your camper was clearly in need of replacement. For one night with electricity, you pay NOK 465 (β¬ 43.29), and in our opinion, that is too much.

Everything is certainly not available here, as stated in the previous review. There is no possibility to empty grey water or the cassette toilet. It is a beautiful location, but the facilities on the campsite are in dire need of renovation. One shower for men/women for 25 SEK, but with a curtain! The sanitary facilities are outdated and poorly maintained and certainly do not meet current standards.

We stayed here for 2 nights in early June. A very nice small campsite in a beautiful location. Friendly staff, clean facilities, and very good Wi-Fi. For the first time on our already long trip, we got an ACSI discount. We paid 300 NOK per night, which included free showers. In short, highly recommended!

We really don't understand the overwhelmingly positive reviews about this campsite. Terms like "beautiful" and "best" campsite do not align with our experience. The sanitary facilities were not clean, and furthermore, the grounds were messy and unkempt. It was certainly not worth the price of 390 NOK. The only positive: good Wi-Fi.

Given the positive reviews, we were disappointed. We were here on May 11, 2026, and paid 440 NK for one night. In our opinion, far too much for what is offered. There was no dryer, but the view was nice.

We were here on May 8, 2026. Great spot and friendly staff. Very nice shower, in short, nothing to complain about. In the evening, we enjoyed a delicious elk burger. The camper pitch costs NK350 including electricity and shower, which we find a bit on the high side. Disposing of grey water and cassette is not possible, but it is at the Joker shop 5 km away.

We were here on April 27, '26. Reception closed, check in at the hotel; you have to figure out where that hotel is located yourself. We paid SEK 445 (β¬41.86), way too much for what is offered.

We are at this campsite today, April 27, 2026. Everything is quiet and deserted, and we read: The campsite is closed this season. What a shame!!

The campsite has beautiful pitches with stunning mountain views, there's nothing wrong with that. What is a bit lacking, however, are the sanitary facilities. They're quite dated, to say the least. There's no decent hot water for showering, no hot water for washing dishes, and absolutely no water pressure. Frankly, I don't really understand the previous positive reviews regarding the sanitary facilities. Or has everything suddenly deteriorated?

Het Witteven, a great experience. Nice quiet camper place where you can still hear the birds. Beautiful spacious places and a nice manager Irma who likes to have a chat. In short: great for each other!!

Nice quiet campsite with friendly owner and good signage to get there. Sanitary facilities excellent but perhaps too few showers when the campsite is full. Delicious food in the bistro at a reasonable price. HePeDet

A great experience this private campsite with 4 places. Equipped with all conveniences: covered terrace, kitchen, shower, toilet and use of all kinds of cooking utensils. Emptying cassette and disposing of grey water no problem, clean water neither. Very nice owner. We found this location simply via the campercontact app. Highly recommended! HePeDet

we stayed at this beautiful camper place for 10 days. A great place, nice owners, very nice cycling routes over the beautiful Sallandse Heuvelrug. We will definitely come back again. PeHe
