Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Delightful setting by the river and old mill. Welcoming hosts who will communicate in a mixture of languages and always get there. Food is delicious and reasonably priced. Not sure if you have to have a meal to stay or just have a drink, but at €40 to stay, 3 course meal with wine and a free bottle to take away, why not ? Wish we could come more often.

Beautiful new site with facilities including electric, toilets and shower. Right next to the barragem in a peaceful setting, with marked walks. All this for €4. What more could you ask for ? Just need to register and pay through “Outdoor-routes.pt” Didn’t realise there are lots of these across Portugal. Great news. Thank you Portugal.

Not sure how anyone could complain about this site. We’ve just paid under €5 to stay the night ( without electric). Facilities old but clean and functioning. Large space to camp, under trees in a walled area.Short walk to town with magnificent castle and other historical buildings. Admittedly some very run down back streets, like many other Portuguese towns. Thank you Beja for this generous facility. Some people never pleased.

Situated on an open, relatively flat site with easy access to facilities. Nice historic town to visit with many ‘bodegas’ that are still lived in?!

27/07/20 Road side parking in a ‘lay-by’ with easy access to the Kinver Edge and some wonderful walks, tends to be busy with dog walkers and day trippers. Being roadside (the nearby National Trust car park is locked at 7pm) there was some traffic noise/buffering but felt safe and quiet after 11pm. Only a 20min walk into a nice village with goods variety of local shops.

Very good spacious parking with good facilities (water €2, electric available, free grey & black dump) overlooks a nice playing field. Note it’s moved from the original location and is now at the parking area behind the swimming pool Centre Aquatique Atlantie - follow the small signs. Had a few boy racers on Saturday evening but they soon left, we had two peaceful nights there. Would visit again.

Stayed 27/07/19 for two nights. Peaceful little site with secure individual landscaped bays overlooking marina. Very helpful staff, clean toilet and shower (only one for marina and site?) good service point but no WC emptying. 10mins to town centre, opportunity to walk along river. Underused little gem.

28/06/19 Lovely setting by the river, grass field has some level pitches (with and without shade). Busy with tents and raft/canoe hire and has large bar/restaurants and clean, modern toilet/shower blocks. Good for walking and cycling tours. Some staff speak English and German. No drive over drainage or access point to drinking water. Two people and camper cost 380 CzK for one night.

27/06/19 Beautiful setting, allowed to park where you like so lakeside spot is possible. Clean toilet block with showers (need token from reception 20CzK) no obvious service facilities for motorhomes. Friendly staff, lady speaks good English, bar was lively cheap with friendly and attentive staff.

Lovely quiet location with fabulous views of the mountains. Worth seeking out but no sign of restaurant or vineyard, now behind a sculptors workshop, no sign off the road. Lady in charge speaks very good English (also French, Spanish, Portuguese and German!) electric and water available on request, no other facilities. Town 500m has bakery, cafes, bars and restaurants.

You need to drive round the back of the football stadium to the swimming pool car park (P1) to find the motorhome parking and services. Clean and tidy, hard standing pitches (sloping), next to a shopping complex and 1.3km to the market square.

Great little spot, very peaceful and tranquil, can’t understand why we were the only van here (stayed 12th June 19). Plenty of well signed walks and cycle routes in the area, toilet/bar nearby (100m), bars and restaurants in the town, plenty of children play areas and book swop!! No facilities but immaculately maintained lake and public areas.

Beautiful new campsite with plenty of space, excellent facilities and friendly helpful owner. Didn’t stay this time but were allowed to use the facilities for free, we look forward to returning here and staying as soon as we can!!

Very convenient stop over for the ferry and visiting Canterbury. Good access to bridlepath walks, great bus service into the city, good value for overnight. Payment on exit (cash or card at kiosk or by card at barrier). Fresh water supply and grey disposal fine. WC disposal point was not clear??
