A warm welcome, a large campsite with all the amenities you could wish for: a shop, several restrooms, three swimming pools, a restaurant, etc. For the avid hiker, it's within walking distance of the town center. Otherwise, the bus stops right outside the gate, you can rent a bike, or take a tuk-tuk. Campervan pitches for larger campers are a bit of a squeeze, but perfectly manageable. However, the campsite can be restless until late at night.

A prime location, just outside the village and within walking distance of the beach and train station. The pitches are literally nestled among the olive trees (at 6.5m long and 3m high, it's a bit of a squeeze). The sanitary facilities are brand new and spotlessly clean. Points of concern: the railway line runs literally behind the campsite, so there's some train noise, and it's quite steep and narrow. Perfect for a car or campervan, but larger combinations require a bit of a squeeze.

A warm welcome, despite arriving early, we were immediately shown to our spot. It was very tight between the locals' regular spots, and we had to move the branches aside ourselves to pass through without damage. We were lucky enough to have a spot on the "beach" with a view of the lake. The rest was old junk and poorly maintained; the hot water for both showering and washing dishes was lukewarm. Perfect for a stopover, but one night is long enough.

We stayed here for one night. The sanitary facilities were outdated but clean, though too few (one toilet block) for the number of campers. It was noisy until late, and at 7 a.m. the construction workers next door started again, but the location right on the lake was truly fantastic, with fantastic views and wonderful swimming water.

The campsite is sheltered by the lake, just a 10-minute drive from Lucerne. It's a compact and welcoming campsite. The adjacent Horw beach is a wonderful place to dip in the lake and relax; tickets are free at reception. The sanitary facilities are a bit dated but are still very well-maintained and clean.
