We enjoyed our overnight stay: it was close to the fascinating Guédelon Castle. The campsite seems well-organized and well-maintained (the campervan facilities for changing water and cleaning the toilet were clean; we're not used to seeing them that way). The pitches are spacious with plenty of shade and pleasantly quiet. Just cross the road and you're at a small lake, which was also very peaceful in mid-July. Highly recommended!

Our initial thought was to keep driving, but we ended up staying, resulting in a 5-star rating. It's incredibly quiet in the evenings and at night; the impressive Notre Dame is just a few minutes' walk away. However, be aware that there are no amenities; even the old greywater drain is no longer permitted. Furthermore, space is limited.

This Camping Car Park site appears to have been recently renovated, with relatively spacious pitches on a paved surface. However, since then, it seems unattended, resulting in tall weeds and overflowing trash bins. It's a shame, because the basics are good. Another drawback is the lack of shade in summer temperatures. It's fine for an overnight stay, but nothing more.

Beautifully situated camping-car park, located on a small river and within walking distance of the town center. Contrary to previous reviews, there were no problems with the barrier or electricity. Pitches vary in length, surface (grass or paved), shade or lack thereof, etc. Very quiet even in July; highly recommended!

Of course, you hear the TGV. However, if I have to choose between the TGV and other sources of noise that don't exist here (like screeching motorbikes, loitering youths, speeding trucks), I can easily live with the occasional train noise. Most seats are indeed slanted, so that's something to keep in mind. However, the tranquility and beautiful history of Cluny more than make up for it.

Great location for an overnight stay; very quiet at night. The camper site is next to a park; unfortunately, the other side of the street looks a bit run-down with a few vacant (?) houses and a commercial building. When we were there, we wanted to avoid the designated grass pitches because of the rain. However, it was no problem to park in one of the many empty paved parking spaces right next to the four camper pitches.

Mixed feelings: a very friendly welcome and a great spot (for a larger campervan). However, in early July, we missed the peace and quiet and the sense of privacy that comes with campervan travel; in that respect, I agree with many of the reviews.

Even though I'd booked in advance, check-in was extremely chaotic, causing the line behind me to quickly grow. The young team at this campsite seemed less bothered by this than I was. Ultimately, you'd expect more efficiency if you just wanted to stay overnight in a campervan.

We were looking for a good base to visit Dijon. In early July, the campsite closer to the city was full, and the campervan pitches (even those available through other apps) didn't convince us. In retrospect, it was a very good choice: although more than 20 minutes from the city center, an Uber ride wasn't too expensive, with all the peace and privacy of this campsite upon our return. The welcome was very friendly and well-organized. Highly recommended.

Châteauneuf-en-Auxois is a beautiful town, but it's best to avoid the center with a larger campervan (it's also not accessible for campers over 3.5 tons). Even using GPS, we got stuck several times; finally, with the help of a road map, we found this parking lot via the D18A. Very quiet, although (in early July) the trash cans were overflowing. From this parking lot, it's only a few minutes' walk to this beautiful village.

All the advantages of CampingCar Park, with the app being very helpful (e.g., tracking available pitches to avoid disappointment upon arrival). This campervan site is quietly located, with plenty of space and a short walk to the village. Unfortunately, Chablis seemed almost deserted in mid-July, leaving us with a somewhat gloomy impression; fortunately, the wine from this region makes up for it.

Excellent overnight location at a reasonable price. There's a wide variety of available pitches (shade, size, privacy, sloped or level). Ultimately, we found a comfortable and peaceful spot. Walking to the town center is worthwhile; good walking shoes are recommended.

A key advantage of Camping-Cark Park sites is that you can easily check availability via the app. This way, you avoid disappointment upon arrival. The prices are generally reasonable, although these are often former municipal campsites with, in most cases, only a new barrier and a sanitary station (which is sufficient for us). A great and quiet place to stay overnight in Bonnard!

Everything has already been said about this site: lots of shade, the whole place seems poorly maintained, but it is very quiet (early July) and with the charming Sense within walking distance. The ground was bone dry this time, but there are some paved pitches if you want to avoid parking on grass during heavy rain. You can indeed hear street noise and the car wash on the front pitches. Things are considerably better at the back of this large camper site.

All the advantages of a Camping-car Park location: barrier, payment (and reservations if needed) via app, good restroom facilities, etc. Very quiet and easily accessible. There's nothing else to do in the surrounding area, making it ideal for an overnight stay and then continuing your journey. The former camping facilities are closed.

Very friendly owner who comes to check regularly. Excellent public transport to the centre of Mainz. Otherwise a bare camper place where not all places have enough space to sit outside comfortably, for example. The paved surface also requires some maintenance (cigarette butts, etc.). Payment is made by cash in an envelope, which is no longer up to date but apparently still quite common in Germany.

5 stars if there was less street noise. Nice camper places, excellent facilities, well maintained. Also nice that a traffic sign explicitly excludes other traffic than campers; unfortunately such a traffic sign is increasingly necessary. Excellent initiative of the municipality of Marktbreit. Cosy town.

We prefer camper sites but sometimes there is little choice. To visit Regensburg, we booked this campsite online. Advantages: public transport to the city, spacious and green pitches, relatively quiet, friendly staff. Disadvantages: early check-out time (10am), very impractical grey water disposal point that many people struggled with. Expensive without much added value.

This parking has a few strong points: public transport nearby to quickly get to the center of Nuremberg; located in a green part of the city, near a large park. The biggest disadvantage is that many locals use this parking to park their cars when they go to the park. Many parking spaces are also limited in length by stone walls so that not every place is suitable for a longer camper.

Huge disappointment. The camper place is poorly marked; Once you arrive, you notice that there is a lack of maintenance (low-hanging tree branches, potholes in the road surface, etc.). There was even a wasp nest in an electricity connection point. As there are a number of parks in the area that are popular with children, there were also passenger caravans using camper sites. A negative trend that you unfortunately see more and more often.

Actually no real disadvantages, I think. Friendly and helpful owners; spacious and clean places; good facilities. The toilet and water exchange area is very practical and spacious enough for larger campers. Moreover, it is easily accessible by telephone to ensure an available place. Definitely recommended, as you can conclude from the previous reviews.

Excellent camper place with a very good price-quality ratio; recommended. Camper pitches are clearly separated from the normal swimming pool parking spaces. By the evening it fills up quickly, causing some campers to move to the passenger car parking lot.

Advantages: nice view; lots of space and great for larger campers; sense of security; public transport within walking distance. Points of interest: camper facilities (filling up with water was no problem, but the possibility of discharging gray water was absolutely insufficient); not cheap.

We first wanted to spend the night at the camper place "Wasserplatz Pirna", but due to the height restriction of the railway tunnel (3.10m) we could not get there. Afterwards we were not dissatisfied with this pitch. The traffic signs are apparently not clear to everyone, but paid overnight stays for campers are certainly possible. The places are also sufficiently spacious, although there are of course also passenger cars in this mixed parking lot.

I can only agree with the previous reviewer: a little oasis in the middle of Leipzig! Everything was fine. The center of Leipzig is easily accessible by public transport. Highly recommended for us.

We were positively surprised by this place: very close to the center of an impressive city, plenty of shade, relatively spacious pitches. We have seen worse when we want to visit a big city somewhere. We did not use the facilities in this parking lot, but they looked very rudimentary. It was striking that at no time when we were there (July) was the parking lot full despite Dresden's popularity.

Parking reserved for campers. Disadvantages: no facilities and sloping. Positive: Meissen is a beautiful municipality and is within walking distance; the parking lot has a sublime view of the Elbe; there is also more than enough space available. There were road works in July, which made the parking slightly more difficult to reach. We really enjoyed the beautiful view, which more than compensated for the parking fee for us.

An almost perfect camper place: spacious, very neat and secured with a barrier. Moreover, online reservations are possible, which is an advantage during the busy summer period. Remote but public transport to the city is possible.

The owner spends time on his customers (explanations regarding Erfurt, public transport, etc). Thanks to the camera surveillance, your camper is also safe. However, the camper place is messy and very small so that you stand close to each other, especially with a larger camper. We also spent a night at another camper place in Erfurt "Wohnmobilstellplatz Tor zur Stadt" and that was our preference. Especially since the costs are about the same.

We first drove to Womostellplatz Karl-Marxstrasse, but it was full. In addition, the places seemed very narrow. However, it is a few minutes drive to this car museum location. At first glance this is a large bare parking lot, but there is considerably more space. Since there are no facilities at this location (drinking water, gray water, toilet cassette), you have to drive to Karl Marxstrasse.

Within walking distance of the city center. It is a shame that this camper place is not well maintained because it certainly has potential. Great base to visit charming Marburg, but unfortunately not more than that.

We were looking for a quiet camper place along the Lille - Paris motorway and were not disappointed. Almost newly constructed pitches near an old country house. The old entrance gate of the domain is spacious enough for large campers. No camper facilities, but the peace and quiet and the cozy village make up for a lot.

One of the most beautiful camper pitches we have visited in the Auvergne. Still only 3 stars........... In mid-July, the provided places were quickly full, with new visitors parking their campers outside the provided places without thinking about the impact on other visitors, local residents, etc. Too bad because the view of the lake is beautiful; many walking opportunities and for those interested there are also fairly new washing machines.

I think that in some reviews the camper place (newly constructed with excellent sanitary column, but otherwise plain and bare) and the small municipal campsite (beautiful ponds; many places in the shade; very cheap) are confused. Both are a 2-minute drive from each other. Especially when the weather is nice, the small campsite offers more fun because you can stand in the shade of the trees. Unfortunately there is nothing to do in the nearby village.

We did not spend the night here, but this compact camper place looks more than fine. Well maintained and enough space for every camper. Cozy village within walking distance.

We were here in the middle of July. Very spacious and green camper place. In the evening, however, it was almost completely full, with a number of people "throwing down" their camper without thinking about whether they are too close to their neighbors. Pleasant town within walking distance. Fortunately, we were at the back and therefore were not bothered by the music at the nearby recreation facility at night. Handy that there is also a Flot Bleu just outside the camper place. Recommended.

Quiet mix parking to spend the night, but no more than that.

I think this is more of a handy camper parking place to visit the city than a cozy place to spend the night. The number of places is limited given the appeal of this impressive city.

Free camper place; wonderfully quiet location. Points for attention: in July the facilities (eg filling up with water) were not yet fully ready. The camper pitches are very long but narrow so you better sit behind or in front of your camper. When we arrived, half of the pitches were occupied by private cars because of the shade on these pitches. Highly recommended.

I promised to give the manager, Bruno, the maximum score as he is a helpful and very friendly host. The camper place is very simple and can certainly be improved; there is also relatively little shade. Thanks to Uber, this was the perfect base for us to visit Clermont-Ferrand while our motorhome was safely parked on a closed motorhome site with a manager.

We are a big fan of the French Camping Car Park. With the APP you can check the available free places and with the top-up card access is very easy and the facilities are included in the price. I normally give high scores. However, this motorhome is completely parallel to a main road, which is annoying during the day. The pitches are also relatively narrow. The village is very pleasant and within walking distance.

Very large but sober camper place where there was more than enough space during the month of July. The services facilities are too limited in terms of capacity given the amount of campers that can be parked here.

Excellent motorhome with spacious and demarcated pitches on asphalt. Very quiet in early July. "Les flots bleus" installation for water change, which I'm not really a fan of (not always very hygienic....).

Even at the beginning of July it was quiet here. Extremely suitable for large motorhomes. Some overdue maintenance so it looks sloppy.

We were looking for a motorhome park just past Paris and also relatively close to the motorway towards the south of France. In that respect, this is a great place that is easy to reach. Sober and, above all, fills up relatively quickly.

Although this is an official camper place according to the municipality of Bourboule, in reality this is no more than a collection point where roughly 6 campers can park more or less. According to various camper sites, the sani column has also been out of action for quite some time…. In short, far below the level that other municipalities in this region offer their visitors. Shame.

This camper place is part of the French "Camping Car Park" so the facilities (water, electricity) are provided and included in the price (to be paid at the barrier). This former campsite is extremely quiet even in mid-July and with more than enough shade. Recommended.

The simple and small campsite is a great alternative. Very friendly welcome, spacious pitches, acceptable prices (Eur 8 for a motorhome pitch, Eur 3 per person and Eur 3 for electricity). Village within walking distance with an excellent bakery that was also open on the national holiday.

Due to the enormous crowds at the channel tunnel, we wanted to spend the night as close to Folkestone as possible so as not to lose time in the morning. In that respect, this mixed parking is a good solution. Little comfort but with reserved parking spaces for caravans and motorhomes. Also safe as the police patrol regularly.

Except for a few picnic benches, this is a simple mixed parking. At the beginning of July a popular overnight stay (we were with 4 campers). There is nothing to do in the village, but you can enjoy beautiful walks with the bonus of a beautiful mill. Relatively noisy during the day (a lot of traffic including visits to glass containers). Quiet at night.

Because we doubted whether we could spend the night here, we inquired at Tourist Information. The friendly lady had to figure it out but confirmed that staying overnight was no problem. In the morning a parking attendant passed by who was especially interested in our holiday experiences and also found it no problem that we had stayed overnight. Also excellent (paid) changing place for water and cassette. Walking distance from the center.

We have already visited many capital cities with the camper and the outcome is always the same: if you want to park the camper for a few days without much risk to visit the city, you almost always end up at a mediocre but expensive campsite. It's no different in Dublin. With Uber you can get to the center relatively quickly. The ferry terminal is also easily accessible via the ring road around Dublin.

Recent motorhome on the spot where there was a family park until 2019. Friendly owner who does not regret this change at all. Children are not allowed here and it is definitely advisable to book in advance by phone! Beautiful fishing pond. Facilities are indeed in need of an update otherwise this location was definitely worth 5 stars.

There are only a limited number of motorhome pitches, so it is better to book online. Unfortunately, the parking spaces are narrow, which gives a cramped feeling, partly because the parking is enclosed and not large. The cozy town with beautiful views makes up for everything; also walk to the surprising "wall of fame". Incidentally, a number of campers spend the night in the nearby car parking, which is apparently allowed.

We will not soon forget this impressive place: several "étages" have been excavated along a steep rock, where you gradually reach the water from top to bottom. Each "storey" has its own facilities which avoids a lot of climbing. The view is absolutely stunning. I wouldn't dare call it a "holiday park"; that can create different expectations in some people. Definitely recommended. Friendly welcome.

Tastes differ but we were not very impressed, especially given the price asked to be able to spend the night with a camper. As already mentioned in reviews from 2019, there is overdue maintenance. For example, the space to clean your toilet cassette, low hanging branches that you have to avoid to reach your parking space and the quality of the WiFi.

During the day it is busy here, especially with swimmers. However, in the evening it quickly becomes very quiet and at the beginning of July we were even alone. There is a water tap in the parking lot. Nb. this place is also easily accessible for larger campers (I do not fully agree with previous reviews regarding the width of the road).

Little to add to previous reviews: the price has indeed been increased. It is true that there is only purified rainwater on the motorhome; however, when driving in or out you can fill your water tank at the restaurant. Beautiful walks in the area. Fairly recent motorhome and therefore in excellent condition.

The previous reviews say enough: not cheap but small-scale (so very quiet), well-kept and within walking distance of the imposing 'Rock of Cashel', which is also a pleasant village. We had called in advance if there was room; definitely recommended to do during peak season because of the limited number of places.

As indicated in previous reviews, the access road has changed and the GPS coordinates are no longer correct! As with many paid accommodation in Ireland, you can book online which is handy. Places are numbered and clearly marked. We paid EUR 16 for 3 people. Quiet and cared for.

Staying overnight at the Visitor Center is prohibited. It was recommended to go to nearby Upperlake of Glendalough (53,0068, -6.3439). The barrier of the mix parking is closed between 9 pm and 8 am, so you can neither enter nor outside with your camper. You are very quiet and you can walk well. Not cheap: EUR 20 for motorhomes without real facilities (toilets that are closed at night and a water tap in the parking lot).

Not cheap but quiet and very well maintained; in addition, only a 10 - 15 minute drive from the ferry terminal (Holyhead) to Ireland. Friendly owner. During high season better to book online via website. Children not allowed. For us (almost) perfect.

EUR 23 is not cheap for a motorhome pitch. However, this Stellplatz offers a lot of added value: sufficient and large pitches, clean sanitary building, bread service, quiet environment. There are also a few caravans and tents here, but that is not disturbing. Recommended!

We used this parking lot to visit beautiful Coburg. The compartments are only length-adjusted for motorhomes but are too narrow to provide privacy. Parking is cheap (EUR 2.50). We ended up staying overnight at a nearby motorhome.

Spacious Stellplatz near spa town. Very friendly welcome with lots of information about the area but also a bread service. Very good service facilities in a recently built sanitary building (washing machine, etc). Pitches are not well marked and offer little shade. Very (too?) quiet at night. Nearby village is also somewhat deserted.

Since this Stellplatz is popular, it can quickly fill up with visitors who sometimes stay for several days. As described, you have to register directly at the reception to be sure that a place is available even if you have been able to park...... Nice paved places, good sani column. Tranquil spa atmosphere. Nice pub within walking distance on the Mittelsee. Recommended.

Excellent location: parking is no problem for large motorhomes; paved areas and fine sani column. The biggest disadvantage is that many places have a slant in width. Limited camping behavior (e.g. opening the awning) does not seem to be a problem here. The money is collected at the weekend. Village within walking distance. Recommended.

It's great that Marchtrenk offers a free motorhome. The parking is quietly located, on asphalt and with marked (narrow) sections. Disadvantages: the sani column is located between the parking spaces (difficult to access) and gray water has to drain through the toilet drain of the sani column; so it's best to use a bucket. At the beginning of July it was very busy so that people parked outside the boxes and there was a lot of litter (see photo). Unfortunate...

Surprisingly efficient and spacious motorhome. We preferred camping Neue Donau because the cycling distance to the center is shorter. However, we also stayed here for 1 night to visit the impressive Schönbrunn Palace. Unfortunately, the motorhome offers little or no shade. There are excellent exchange facilities for gray water and cassette toilet. Price is correct (EUR 23).

The campsite has a number of assets: the beautiful city of Vienna is within cycling distance and the campsite is large and will probably not be full quickly. There are also points for attention: there is only 1 discharge point for gray water; WIFI is bad and no initiatives are taken to make it more pleasant for customers, such as a bread service. I know from experience that motorhome pitches in large cities are of course expensive, but for EUR 43 (3p) I expected more.

Very sober, even boring motorhome. However, everything is there and the overnight stay is free. You only have to pay for the facilities; eg € 2 for fresh water (sani column). Highly recommended is the unheated outdoor pool where it was very quiet at the beginning of July. Despite the sunny weather, there were more staff than swimmers... Compared to previous reviews, the trees had been pruned so no scraping branches. Great experience.

Very well kept location. A friendly welcome and an ideal opportunity to taste and buy the Grüner Veltliner wine directly from the winegrower. When buying wine, the overnight stay is free, so that choice was made quickly! Only drawback is that there are no facilities for gray water and cassette toilet. In that case I would have given 5 stars. Very quiet at night.

This does not really look like a parking lot, but more like a tolerance zone where many people park and spend the night. During the day many cars are parked here (for walking, cycling, etc) so finding a place is not always easy. Excellent shade thanks to the trees and beautiful views of the Danube. Quiet at night. The nearest changing place for toilet and gray water is in Aggsbach-Markt (20km). Recommended.

We were here at the beginning of July. It was wonderfully quiet so we stood with an unobstructed view of the Danube. Compared to previous reviews, the pitches are now marked with stripes on the ground which is fine. Cafeteria and parking could use some updating. The very good (and clean) sani column is also available if you do not spend the night here (you pay EUR 3).

It's great that this community offers a free overnight stay for motorhomes. For a small fee, you can use the sani column. The small village is within walking distance. Recommended for those looking for a quiet place to stay overnight.

When we passed here at the beginning of July, the motorhome was renewed. The result will undoubtedly be good: flat paved surface, etc; however, at the beginning of July, the work was still in full swing. Staying overnight was possible but without facilities. In any case, apart from the golf course, there is not much to do so probably especially interesting if you are passing through. I am curious about the end result of this investment! Not bothered by traffic.

Most pitches are on grass which is not ideal for a heavy camper (in wet weather). The access for the discharge of gray water is also not really adapted for larger motorhomes. Otherwise a cosy, atmospheric and above all quiet campsite close to a pleasant town. Not cheap for what is offered (EUR 24) therefore 3 stars for us and not 4.

You now pay more than EUR 20, which is relatively much for what is on offer. Plenty of space, even for large motorhomes. Flat, paved surface. Friendly reception. Bakery nearby. Highly recommended; i would have given a 4 star rating if the price had been a little lower.

Simple mixed parking, but you stand quietly and with a beautiful view of the cozy Schärding. Limited camping behavior does not seem to be a problem either. The bridge over the Inn is the border between Austria and Germany. Barring exceptions, you can cross the bridge up to 2.8 tons but nobody seems to stick to that.

The motorhome is close to the highway so you lose little time in transit. We decided to spend the night here because of the traffic jam at the border with Austria. Since there are not many places, it is better to call in advance if there is room. Don't stand in the grass because it gets soggy when it rains. Quiet area for a nice walk. Facilities (cassette cleaning, gray water) are basic but clean. Friendly owner.

Nicely located and neat camper place between the river Sambre and the Abbey. Unfortunately, the road next to the parking lot is busier than I expected. For amenities there is a "Flot Bleu" which I find less hygenic than a classic sani column. The fresh water hose hangs behind the same door as the drain for the toilet cassette. Center within walking distance.

During the Easter period there was an all-in rate for the campsite of EUR 18. By using facilities on the campsite to refuel water and clean the toilet cassette, we only had to discharge gray water to the separately located camper place. Compared to the motorhome, you are in a location with much more greenery and space for about the same amount. The campsite is well maintained but outdated.

Quiet place to spend the night. Indeed, it takes a while to avoid being too skewed. It rained enormously at night, but the paved surface absorbed the abundant rainwater without any problems. The gardens of Annevoie are impressive!

Access to this very neat and recent camper place is cumbersome. If you do not follow the instructions carefully, the barrier will remain closed (which happened with several other passers-by). You have to pay for fresh water per unit of time, which can be expensive due to the low water pressure. The pitches are a bit narrow when it is full. Nothing noticed WiFi. Recommended: a visit to the nearby dam!

We were here at the beginning of April to use the sani column. It does not make a pleasant impression, but the facilities are in order.

Pleasant location with a nice view of the water. Also great for walking to the impressive Stréphy boat lift. Due to the limited number of camper locations in this region, the parking is quickly full. The biggest loss are garbage cans ..... During the busy Easter period, all garbage cans on the nearby walking paths were therefore overcrowded ....

We were here at the beginning of April to visit the beautiful city of Tournai. The car park is simple but functional. Actually a good example for other cities in Belgium that are often too little prepared for camper tourism.

Sea nice location but probably quickly full during holiday periods. Most charging stations for electricity also have a water connection so that you can refill water without moving your camper. Emptying gray water is actually impossible (there is a well where you can empty the toilet cassette and possibly also with a bucket of gray water). Water point to flush toilet cassette should also be closer to the drain. In short, there is some homework.

We were here 2 years ago when we returned from Portugal and our comment (and score) has not changed: neat and comfortable motorhome. Paved surface, spacious places (also for large campers) and a very clean Sani station. Only the internet was not that stable this time. You can walk around the fishing pond. Recommended.

Quiet motorhome that is also indicated in time with signs. Unfortunately, no place offers shade and because the awning should not be turned off, this reduces comfort on very hot days. The free wine tap (5 to 10 minutes walk) is an experience and was also available in July (despite Corona). Access to the parking only with coins.

We were looking for a base to visit Leon. We do not regret this campsite: since July, a new owner has been doing his best to make the customer happy: hospitable, taxi service to Leon, sandwich service. There is some overdue maintenance. Pontevedra has an interesting history that is clearly visible during a city visit. The camper place is sufficient: good sani column, parking spaces of limited size, camping behavior prohibited, but we were able to sit outside next to the camper. It is necessary to follow the signs to get to the parking lot. We were not bothered by the construction works; the tall building fortunately gives a lot of shade!

Typical city camping site: expensive for the offered (EUR 45 with 3). Due to Corona, the campsite was almost empty and people didn't seem interested in the few customers. The main road on the campsite is steep and many sections are not easily accessible due to the trees for large campers. We left the car down, looked for our place on foot and then drove there in one go. Cheap taxi to the city

A high score because this port offers enough space to spend the night (for free). This is in contrast to the parking spaces at beaches that are very quickly crowded and where your camper can become blocked. We were here on a Saturday evening in July where there was a pleasant crowd: many fishermen and hikers but absolutely not disturbing. There is a pleasant center within walking distance.

Very quiet picnic and overnight stay. Beautiful and quiet beach; also hardly any tourists at the beginning of July. No specific facilities for campers; a public toilet (in very bad condition). Perhaps due to the Corona crises, maintenance was overdue anyway. If you choose the correct approach route, you drive in a straight line towards this point from the main road.

Camper place very close to a beach. Narrow and usually short compartments. The water connections on the sani column (fresh water, rinse water cassette) caused confusion for other motor home owners with high risks in terms of basic hygiene. Camping behavior officially not allowed but (when we were there) apparently a tolerant policy for eg the use of garden chairs to sit outside.

Fortunately, this location near the lighthouse was less popular with the many tourists who traveled with a camper in early July and who mainly wanted to be close to a beach. It was therefore quiet in the evening and at night. Limited camping behavior (such as sitting outside) does not seem to be a problem here, unlike many official motorhome pitches.

Since it was very busy on the coast, we decided to stay overnight at this viewpoint. You literally share the parking lot with cows. The route uphill is relatively steep. The last few hundred meters to the parking lot are narrow (you cannot pass each other) and with holes in the road that were full of rainwater. Once you reach the goal, you quickly forget the run-up. Beautiful view, very quiet.

The limited number of official places are all around the sani station. In practice, most motorhomes (a large number of local motorhomes) park elsewhere in the large car park. Few benefits or charm other than the center within a limited walking distance.

We drove directly to the top (just climb) where you have a spectacular view. After all the busy camper places where you are on top of each other, it was wonderfully quiet here with only the sound of cow bells. There are no facilities but my experience in this part of Spain is that there are enough places where you can change water and clean toilet cassette in between. Recommended.

Perhaps expectations were high due to the positive reviews. However, in this motorhome the compartments are based on the size of a FIAT 500. At the beginning of July it was packed and it was almost impossible to open the door of your camper without hitting your neighbor's camper. If you charge EUR 12 you should be able to make more spacious compartments. Fine bakery, nice walk to the coast.

We did not spend the night here, but used this parking for the facilities (empty toilet, etc) and to visit the beautiful Santander. The center is within half an hour walking distance, but the height differences along the way make the walk intensive. The places are long enough for larger campers; it remains limited in width (as is often the case in Spain).

Desolate piece of asphalt surrounded by large apartment blocks. The proximity to the beach, including a beautiful walking boulevard, is the only advantage. Fortunately it was extremely quiet at the beginning of July (many holiday apartments seemed to be vacant) so we had quite a bit of privacy. Perhaps the situation in a peak season is completely different.

As with many camper pitches in Spain, the places are very narrow so that you can almost see each other (especially when the parking is almost full). So good to stay overnight and use the facilities but no more than that. There are some places down the slope where you can stand with a little more privacy. Strict check whether you have paid!

Our 1st night in Spain was a great experience: beautiful ocean views but also a special atmosphere with walking cows and horses. However, this place is also a popular place for local people to meet. It didn't bother us because everyone was gone again at the end of the evening.

We stayed here twice in July: on our way to Spain and a few weeks later on the way back. The price is correct for the offered: all amenities are available (water, electricity). In addition, the trees provide plenty of shade in warm weather. On the way back, the barrier did not work and was open pending repair. Very close to the entrance and exit of the highway.

On the way to Spain we wanted to spend the night just past Paris. This motorhome is actually the first South of Paris with a good score on Camper Contact: close to the motorway, all amenities available (and free). Number of places is limited.

After returning from Norway we spent the night here. Very quiet especially after closing time of the pool. Unfortunately you have to go to Vechta for the facilities. Great that the municipality has thought of it but you lose a relatively large amount of time to get there. Also the distance to the motorway takes longer than expected due to the many traffic lights so keep this in mind if you are passing through.

At the beginning of July it was perfectly possible to change water and to clean the toilet cassette. The hygiene could be better .....

We were here at the beginning of July and unfortunately also had problems with young people who make a lot of noise at night. Especially the explosions (fireworks?) At 2 am we had not expected in this beautiful area. In dry weather, cars entering and leaving the parking lot create a lot of blowing dust which makes sitting outside not pleasant. Nice area for walking.

We were here in early July. At first glance, the busy camper place looks a bit messy. However, with a bit of luck you will have a place with a view of the beautiful lake. As a bonus, the nice town of Vadstena is within walking distance. The facilities (discharge water, cleaning cassette) are in the marina and require some habituation but are in good condition. Recommended!

We were here on the way back from the North Cape at the beginning of July. Fantastic beautiful place, beautiful view and very well cared for. Moreover with free sani facilities nearby and all for free. The result is that the beginning of July was very busy. Especially since there are no marked places, caravans and campers park where they can and every meter is used ........

You can spend the night on both sides of the E4. The side of the gas station is a parking lot with many trucks. At the harbor you can stand fine: we were on the beautiful motorhome (150SEK, pay at gas station) but there are also free places in the mix parking (which is fast enough). The sanitary facilities are very poor: a manhole cover on the mixed parking for discharging water and cassette.

Very friendly welcome (in Dutch). The campsite is wonderfully quiet with very spacious and paved places for every camper. The campsite needs to be refreshed (eg mini golf, sanitary) to justify the price.

We were here in early July. I absolutely cannot recommend this place: a vacant gas station that seems to be used by locals to tinker with old cars and trucks. Because it was late, we spent the night across the street at the COOP parking lot; that worked great.

We did not want to spend the night on the expensive and busy parking of the North Cape and spent the night here. Quiet and small fishing village; for us more authentic than staying overnight in the North Cape where long-term parking is also considerably more expensive than short-term (180NOK pp instead of 275NOK pp).

We were here at the beginning of July and unfortunately a broken down truck blocked a large part of the parking. In addition, the bumpy surface is not very suitable for campers with a long overhang. That is why we drove a few hundred meters further uphill: a comparable parking lot without the magnificent view, but with a flat surface. Very calm!

We were here at the beginning of July: nice paved mix parking with free facilities (sanizuil) of good quality. Because you are standing in the parking lot of a small and quiet amusement park, only the unobstructed view is missing. Unfortunately we had problems with a wasp's nest in the neighborhood, but that will hopefully have been temporary and therefore does not affect the high score.

The mix parking is messy and has no facilities. However, it is more than sufficiently large for several campers and the view is beautiful. Just cross the road (busy during the day, quiet at night) and you are on a beautiful beach. Worth a high score.

Excellent and clean exchange place for a small fee (NOK 30). It is also handy that you can use a high-pressure cleaner for a fee to clean your camper. And that is regularly needed in Norway.

The mix parking actually means nothing (irregular shape, no layout in boxes) but the view is incredibly beautiful. Since there are also many days of people in the summer (incl tent or caravan) it can be filled up very quickly. The facilities are in my opinion not really suitable for a camper (changing water, etc) and you can do that better somewhere else.

Great change location (clean and in good condition); without costs.

We arrived by ferry at 10 p.m. A kind of car race started to find the last places to stay. This parking was eventually full of campers, coaches and campers; a pleasant bustle but something to take into account during the high season. No facilities but there are sufficient locations where you can change water and clean the cassette.

Great location: beautiful views, the basic facilities are available and all without costs. As can be expected, it can therefore be busy here quickly. As the parking spaces are not indicated everywhere or too short (for long motorhomes), motorhomes are actually parked everywhere which is actually not good.

Clean and free changing place. There is indeed no possibility to empty gray water directly, as you often see in Norway. The question is to take a separate drain hose or (as we do) a bucket to collect the water and empty it.

Very nice attached mix parking with even grilles in the road surface to stop stray cattle. Very quiet in the evening because the traffic is completely dependent on the ferry. Behind the parking is a beautifully maintained memorial monument for Soviet prisoners of war from the 2nd world war. Apart from a toilet, no facilities for waste water / cassette, but you will find enough in other places.

This camper place does not differ much from most camper parking places for larger cities: relatively expensive, large, not really cozy but efficient. Center within walking distance. Note: early July the parking was quickly full !! There is a mandatory free space between each camper so that you have enough privacy. Sani facilities limited given the capacity of the parking.

Great overnight place. Preferably park around the lake (where there are a limited number of picnic places) so that you are sheltered and do not suffer from road traffic or from the trucks that spend the night on the street. No sani facilities but in Norway you can go to many places for refueling fresh water and emptying waste water and cassette.

Very friendly and helpful owner. However, there is still work to be done: the surface is insufficiently paved and therefore very dusty in dry weather. Heavy motorhomes can sink here and there on the newly leveled surface. We paid EUR 19 (including water, electr) and I thought that was too much money for a motorhome that is not yet ready. Unique view of local airport without nuisance!

Great basic location to spend the night in transit: close to the highway; cheap diesel fuel in the center. As the swimming pool opens early, there is no problem in purchasing coins at the reception to use the (cheap) facilities; see website of the swimming pool for precise opening hours! The number of official camper pitches is limited, but the parking is spacious enough.

Currently this motorhome is more like a construction site (lots of puddles, building material), but for good reason: a completely new motorhome is being constructed on the other side of the street. Until that time you can park well here, even with a large camper. The sani column is in poor condition; hopefully the new motorhome will be ready soon.

We didn't spend the night here but parked to visit Besançon. The access to the parking is via a sharp turn and then steeply down. However, in practice this is also very suitable for a 7.5m motorhome. The parking spaces are not too big but you are within walking distance of the lively center which is becoming increasingly difficult in many other cities.

Because the camper place in Mijoux was disappointing due to repair work, we drove on to this place. Fantastic place: very well maintained, spacious and very neat. Parking free; facilities to pay (more expensive but acceptable during the winter months). Main road nearby but still very quiet at night.

Currently the sani column cannot be used. There is a note that this will be replaced by a new one but a date for commissioning is missing. Because of the melting snow and rain there were also a lot of puddles in the parking lot. A pity, because the motorhome is close to the pleasant village center. We are 9 km further driven to Lélex where a very good motorhome is.

During the ski season (early March) it was crowded here; moreover, it looks uncomfortable. We therefore drove on to the mixed parking on the higher ski slope. We only used the sani facilities here (Eur 6) because the sani column on the ski slope was broken.

Large mix parking at the ski slope; specially marked large parking spaces for campers. Ideal to combine motorhome holidays with skiing. Camper facilities very poor: sanitary column is outdated and really only suitable for cleaning the toilet cassette (only 1 water hose). In the nearby village is a camper place with better facilities. Accommodation and sanitary column are free.

Belfort has invested in a large camper place that is completely free (including electricity). However, I do not give a maximum score because the parking is not really cozy (large mix parking) and you hear the traffic on the main road too much. The nice town is within walking distance. Due to the size and the free facilities we were at the beginning of March with more than the number of allowed campers.

Surprisingly beautiful and peaceful location. Also at the beginning of March the 4 available places were soon full so you probably have to be lucky to be able to stand here. Accommodation is free. To refuel water and clean the toilet, you have to press the 'CB' (carte bancaire) button on the sani column, after that everything is free ........ In the village there is a great organic bakery. Recommended.

Great base to visit Strasbourg! After a short walk to the center of Kehl, you can take the tram for EUR 1.80 to the center of beautiful Strasbourg. At the motorhome you can pay everything with coins (accommodation, water, electricity) and that can add up ..... The sani column is gradually due for renewal. Sandwich services from 1 May.

Well-kept, comfortable camper place from Camping Car Park. Register on site and buy a top-up card (4 Eur) that you can reload and use at any location. Getting used to it but handy in practice. As a motorhome must be: paved places; flat and clearly delineated. Very clean sani station. Stable internet. Also no problem for long campers.

Camper place of Camping Car Park (www.campingcarpark.com, there is also an APP). Register for the first time on site and buy a top-up card (4 Eur) which you can then recharge and use at any location. Getting used to it but handy in practice. Sober motorhome but well cared for and with excellent facilities. Beautiful lake at walking distance. Also ideal who is in transit to Spain.

Mixed feelings: you are in the open nature and there is a nice swimming pool. The owner is friendly but nonchalant. Visitors can stand somewhere that is messy. The substitution for campers is better, so you can not stand flat to discharge wastewater completely. Large motorhomes (7.5m) can quickly get into trouble at this campsite. Eur 35 for 4 people incl pool is a lot of money.

Beautiful location with stunning views. In some places (especially near the beaches), overnight stays are explicitly prohibited. Camping behavior is also not appreciated in places where you are allowed to stay. Eating outside under the awning, led by our police visit. Except waste bins and a public toilet no facilities but no costs.

Neat and well-kept campsite where, in early July, mainly local tourists stood. Everything looks relatively new. Very friendly reception. Eur 17 for 4 people we found very correct. Straight and hardened places that allow you to install yourself quickly and comfortably. Swimming is possible in the nearby river. a great bakery within walking distance. Recommended.

A beautiful environment but we found this motorhome site disappointing: the entire location is located on a hill which makes maneuvering difficult, especially with longer campers. Meanwhile, there are mainly a lot of tents which is not a problem in itself but contradicts previous messages. Pool very small. We paid Eur 27, - with 4 people in early July, which we found too much for this location.

Ideal camper place (very safe and comfortable) for a visit to Porto. Fully separated camper pitches at a beautiful nature park. Because of the dinosaur statue at the entrance and the high entrance gate, it is as if you are entering Jurassic park. For Eur 10 you are fast and comfortable with Uber in the center of Porto. Good facilities (electricity, water, etc.). Recommended.

Paved parking but dusty (underground on gravel mixed with sand). The location has a high Beach Boys content (beautiful beach, lounge on the beach, etc) and attracts many water sports enthusiasts. We paid Eur 9 incl electricity. Showering is possible at the pool (discounted access). Friendly reception. Highly recommended.

Because the motorhome was overcrowded, we went to the campsite. It is all messy and checking in is slow but ultimately a great base to visit the city (taxi to the center costs Eur 6). The swimming pool has too limited opening hours if you stay for a day and visit the city during the day. With 4 people in July Eur 20 paid what is still just acceptable.

After an overnight stay in the open air I had hoped to use the facilities described here. I doubt, however, whether it is permissible to clean the chemical toilet in the disabled toilets, as described in previous reviews. Very nice and well maintained camper pitches!

Beautiful gravel parking at the sea; great beach within walking distance. No facilities. When we were there (early July) during the day very busy with water sportsmen; both campers and cars. In the evening and at night, fortunately a lot calmer, so great to spend the night.

Hardened but dusty parking. Facilities for discharging toilet and water to fill but basic. Some places offer shade. Wifi very moderate. Actually, this motorhome can use a freshening up to achieve a higher score. In the morning and evening is checked for payment. The beautiful Obidos is within walking distance.

An expensive (+/- Eur45 with 4 people) but safe and comfortable way to visit Lisbon and Sintra. With Uber you are in front of Eur 10 in a quarter of an hour in the center. The trees give a lot of shade, but the campsite is explicitly not liable for damage caused by falling branches. Spacious pool but is also visited by external people. Some places are too close to the busy road.

We were here on July 4th. Especially in the vicinity of the lighthouse there was much camping in the wild that evening and you are also much better than on the dusty and uncomfortable parking lot near the monastery. Absolutely no feeling of insecurity. Obviously no facilities but the view and tranquility makes everything good. The deserted monastery is certainly worth a visit.

Called the phone number several times but no one answered ................ Fortunately, the cabinet with tap for tap water was not locked.

The official motorhome (indicated with a caravan sign) is much too steep for larger motorhomes. According to the tourism office, you can also stay overnight at lower parkings. We stood at the spacious and paved parking lot at the roundabout: very nice view, free and close to the beautiful and cozy village. No facilities but there is a substitute down (site code 27958). In the absence of a motorhome, we stayed overnight at this campsite. Perhaps the expectations were too high after all the positive comments on CamperContact. For a campsite there is a lot of noise from the nearby road; ordering sandwiches was not possible (owner on holiday). A proof of payment was also not possible (Eur 20, - paid for 3 people). Well neat and a (small) swimming pool.

Free overnight stay for campers on the river; close to the border with Portugal. Nice to take a walk along the water. Beautiful asphalt parking with decent sani column, almost all too good for a free place; excellent initiative of the city of Badajoz ........ Ideal for transit to Portugal!

We were here in early April before the work started. Well laid out but relatively expensive (overnight Eur 9, water and electricity to be paid separately). In some places there is no satellite reception through the tall trees. Pretty busy although not a high season.

Mixed parking without specific camper facilities. The parking offers a beautiful view of the castle and is therefore the perfect base to walk through the castle park to the center of Schwerin. Very quiet, paved and neat. Recommended.

Very pleasant and quiet place. Also close to the motorway, so convenient when traveling. For EUR 5 you can not wish much better.

At this parking you can also spend the night in special places for campers. We stayed here after returning from Norway (about 40 minutes drive from Hirtshals).

A nice view, quiet and a nice village within walking distance. However, it is expensive to stay overnight on a sloping, bumpy (and dusty) terrain without amenities.

We do not like camping, but to visit Oslo this is an ideal location: fast connection to the city, beautiful views, good facilities (except for the moderate wifi) and lots of camper pitches. Some places run very obliquely with a chance of driving away from rain. Not cheap (NOK 375; 4 people), but to visit Oslo it was a great solution and highly recommended.

We first wanted to stay in nearby Åndalsnes, but the caravan trail looked boring and unprotected. Therefore driven to this place, a few kilometers away. Basic (so no amenities), but very quiet can sleep and have a good view.

At the entrance of the parking lot was a sign posted that this was a payment park. However, no idea how much should be paid, to whom and where. So take the risk and stand. Very quiet place, very nice view. The whole made an abandoned impression in early July. No amenities.

The cassette cleaning system is not too well maintained but works; I did not find the box without the picture on the camper contact APP. As always, you are expected to also fuel fuel. You can also add drinking water here.

The caravan is no longer available but the parking is a good alternative. Apart from a toilet no amenities (but that is also not a "must" in Norway as cassette cleaning / water refueling can be done in many other places). You are surprisingly calm and feel "small" next to the high steep mountain wall. Recommended.

At the beginning of July, a free place was found; Limited number of electr. Connections. In the morning, campers are in the queue to take advantage of free places immediately. Supermarket and tram nearby to visit Bergen. Sanitation of this time (lack of hygiene). Even for a city park down my personal expectations compared to many other European cities.

In early July, it was very quiet here; We were very surprising alone. Some distraction came from the many Asian bus tourists who were housed in the local hotels and curiously stood around the camper during their evening walk. Parking is recently asphalted, very large but without any privacy (completely open and close to the street). Beautiful view over the fjord!

It's a bit of searching and driving through narrow streets but the result is fantastic. Unfortunately, the parking was used for unloading ships with asphalt in early July, which means that large trucks occupy the most space. There was still room for 4 campers; The sun and the beautiful view made a lot of fun. Recommended.

It is not clear whether you have to pay or not. Other visitors advised us to pay DKK 150 in the restaurant. For this we could use the facilities of the marina. Unfortunately, the parking lot was crowded with passenger cars from restaurant visitors. As there are no fixed courses, this parking made very messy (and not in line with the amount paid ...).

Convenient overnight stay when traveling: Close to the highway, more than enough places, possibility of refueling and grocery shopping nearby. Basic but functional.

According to the signs camping is prohibited, but we can stay without problems on the "overflow parking" which is out of sight. The sound of the water treatment did not bother. Lively town (albeit without shops, restaurants only) and a beautiful view. At the yacht harbor is a tap where you can refill water smoothly.

Large, quiet parking lot with beautiful views of the lake and all amenities. Somewhat steep access road. Closed on market days! You have to deal with the local middle class (within walking distance). Price is more than fine for the money.

Very good base to visit Venice. Manicured grounds; clean sanitary facilities; Spacious pitches with plenty of shade; family friendly; WiFi works fine. Boat to Venice within walking distance. Beach near but the owner also has free bus tickets. Just a washer missing at this price.

You better advance inform the owner of your arrival as they open the gate of the motorhome. You are very safe here but it shows what unkempt. All amenities are included in the price of EUR 15, -

Very quiet, but what uninviting stop over on the edge of a nice village; perfect for an evening stroll and to get fresh bread in the morning. All facilities available; wifi does not work unfortunately. Something cared less (many weeds), but a very reasonable price (€ 5).

Center of the beautiful Verona, within walking distance. The parking spaces are narrow, so you are forced to sit in front of or behind your car; use the awning is not possible. The many trees provide shade, but make satellite tv impossible. An amount of € 10, - for overnight and use of facilities (no power) is more than correct. Please note that in high season it can fill up quickly.

Narrow access road, unkempt grounds with (too) many weeds and dirt. Shame because nicely situated on a river. Above all, a wonderful town to take a walk in the evening. Not really clear where you need to empty your toilet. Acceptable value for money.

Very nicely located and very cared for on a farm with beautiful views of the mountains. Small playground, table football and some farm animals. For a family with two children is not cheap (more than € 50). In the evening played the owner of an alphorn. Poor wifi connection; sanitation good but 'basic' at this price. For very large park, it can maneuver a bit.

We wanted to spend the night on Saturday, July 2nd, but unfortunately the car park was completely removed by the owner for a customer event ....... So we had a lot of detours to find another place ...... (Willisau ).

Free opportunity to clean toilet and discharge water. This car park is on the north-south side of the highway, but is also accessible from the parking lot in the other direction (via a bridge / tunnel).

Very nicely landscaped and very neat location. Very driven and motivated owner who is very helpful. Actually no negatives except that Oirschot not specially attracted us. In short, a little detour to sleep very well.

This place suited us better than the average score was suggested. You're right in the center which is a huge plus. In addition, quality of facilities adequate. There is indeed much "activity" (around moving cars and "hang elderly"; unfortunately I know no better description). But all in all a great place that is better than the score did suspect. Activities seem to be over!

Fine place with the added charm of a marina. Places are on the short side. The place to clean toilet is next to the bins which is a strange choice. Direct also contains a tap for fresh water with a short hose. Fickle internet. Within walking distance of a lovely village and nice view out towards the boats and the water! We stood alone. Because the grass was wet, we were standing on the concrete parking lot. Friendly people; all amenities (except Internet) and well maintained. We paid Eur 10, - all in. Recommended!

Very well kept; all amenities included. Friendly harbourmaster. The little village presents itself; quite a number of shops within walking distance. As mentioned by others, you hear "rumble" traffic over the bridge. An old camper seems to be final.

Location is in the middle of the Haarlemmermeer polder so very remote. Near Schiphol; you hear the planes but not bothersome. Recommended!

Large P + R parking lot near Edinburgh. Total no amenities, not even a garbage can. However, around Edinburgh, the number of possibilities seems limited (if you campsites are disregarded).

Surprisingly pleasant and peaceful overnight stay at roughly 10 minutes drive from the north-south axis M1. A good alternative because overnight along the M1 / ​​M6 fee is! Former GPS cards will not have a lot of redeveloped access road to the farm but suffice to simply follow the road. Neat but simple.

We drove for time because of the high scores. And rightly so: great place and cared for. The citadel of the village was destroyed during World War I; around the ruins it is wonderful walking. To pay was just trying bank card which was accepted (as often in France ....). This place is apparently known as fully booked even though we were outside the holiday ..... Not to be missed!

Steep access road is not that bad. Groomed camper parking with all amenities (except electrodes.) Which is completely free. The majority of the spots is located on a free oblique inclination which is not always convenient. The beautiful town is close.

I have no idea why Bourseville a motorhome because there is nothing to do in this town. However, this location is ideal: all present (including electrodes) for a modest price; Moreover cared for and on flat ground. Ideal if you are passing through (or relatively far from main roads).

We first wanted to stand in Le Crotoy but that was overcrowded and in poor soil. What a breath of fresh air on the other side of the bay: very tidy, plenty of space and a cozy village at walking distance. As always, not clear whether you should use a bank card or credit card (Visa) for electronic payment; make sure you both have with you in France.

A visit to the abbey garden is a must; it is open late (10:30). In terms of sleep you're on your own: no amenities (not even a bin). However very quiet and pitch dark (no lights) so slept. In the morning we were allowed to refuel a gardener water at the barn next to the parking. So fine.

Beautiful location but remote. We drove there specially to because of the good rating on Camper Contact. Advantages: excellent and even a fine breakfast (€ 5, -). Within walking distance from the center (incl. 3 bakers) .Toegangsweg to the parking is relatively narrow so here look. Sadly during our visit (early April) the provisions on the other camper location closed in Cassel. Please note we arrived on Saturday afternoon so that almost the entire parking lot was sufficient passenger car (parking is also used by football).
