You can take the ferry to the restaurant (always nice) with a view of the water. possibility to rent a boat. We cycled to the pleasant city of Leiden, the area is worth cycling. we will definitely come back

friendly welcome at a small friendly campsite, run by volunteers. Highly recommended and what we also went for is to book the mudflat hiking with Koos at the campsite. You leave the campsite with a small group of camping guests. the campsite is located next to the seal center. an excellent restaurant in the village. many hikers in front of the Pieterpad starting point The town of Winsum is highly recommended to visit

a nice place, between meadows and the river, so a good starting point for a nice cycling and walking tour. toilet, shower neat, there is also an area to sit inside with each other. There is a small Thai restaurant near the road, we have not tried it yet. Payment can be made via envelope on the bus info/sanitary area. For an extra €5 you can leave the camper behind and enjoy one day of cycling, for example

we were on a spacious spot to the side of the campsite. Sanitary facilities are not luxurious but okay. nice swimming pool and playground, sports field, bouncy castles. price with child €49.22 per night.

a real farmer's campsite, with animals, barn with hay bales with a great swing rope (grandson 9 yrs) enjoys himself even when it rains and a meadow with everything trampoline, foot / basketball. plumbing is okay, but a stable (cow shed) smell. but that's what a farmer's campsite is for.
