The toilet was open this time. The official camper spot is limited, and the wastewater disposal area smelled. I parked on the other side of the soccer field. It was fine.

Quaint campsite. Beautiful views. Excellent restaurant. Clean but insufficient sanitary facilities. Cold water only. There's a peat hut for cooking, but also very limited capacity. The short outward journey along the 901 from the 1 is fine. The longer route along the 901 is beautiful, but more demanding on your tires. It would have been helpful if reception had also enforced the 4-meter distance rule here. There's plenty of space, but it should be distributed well.

Limited pitches in the area sheltered from the (north and west) wind. We were pitched on the gravel behind it. Friendly caretakers come by in the evenings. Sanitary facilities are basic, but a new building is being built. Village shop 500m away. The former herring boomtown now looks rather deserted.

It's great that the owner is adhering to the four-meter social distancing rule. There's plenty of space, it's quite level, and offers a beautiful view of the sea where you can watch the sunset.

Great campsite. Plenty of waterfront space, too. A living room with cooking facilities. Excellent showers. We also used the sauna and hot tub at the pool. The bike ride around the peninsula was beautiful but very challenging, even with e-bikes. It took over six hours for 72 km. A kilometer walk over very large pebbles, which was passable at low tide. We crossed about five rivers up to 30cm deep. We just kept our shoes on.

Nice place for a night. A pleasant walk through the hot springs to lakes teeming with red-throated divers, phalaropes, and more. Two clean restrooms. Hot and cold water. No shower. You can use the swimming pool and sauna, if you prefer. Basic groceries are available in the village.

Four stars because it was quiet here, with a beautiful view, clean restrooms, and warm water. The seals were napping or playing in the water. In short: a great place. The road is only 13 km of gravel. And for a gravel road, the quality was excellent.

€35 for 2 people and a campervan. After a full day of rain and a flat tire on the 35, it was wonderful to warm up in the hot tub and enjoy a delicious meal in the restaurant. Other amenities are basic. It's recommended to check the road conditions on road.is.

€40 for 2 people and a campervan. Showers, toilets, etc. are severely insufficient for the at least 200 campervans and cars with roof tents here. The site is enormous, so there's always space. Here too, according to the managers, tourism has gotten out of hand compared to the infrastructure. There are also beautiful hikes with views of the glaciers and the basalt blocks at Svartifoss.

Note: This campsite is located 17 km further west; see other reviews. Free, you have to find your own spot. Shower 500 kroner. The kitchen was very dirty and there was a lot of trash that desperately needed to be taken out. Two toilets isn't much. Otherwise, it's a nice spot in the middle of a tern colony that tries to get rid of you by attacking your head. During the day, the owner's coffee shop with waffles and hot dogs is nice, with very clean toilets a 50-meter walk away.

€34 instead of the advertised €20. Is all of Iceland so expensive? One shower for men and one for women isn't much for such a large campsite. The pitches are spacious, although you can't choose your own pitch; they're assigned by the ticket machine. We were close to the road but weren't bothered by much traffic noise.

Fantastic view. Electricity is available and water is free, but there are no other amenities, just picnic tables. Nice and quiet. We also took a lovely walk along the steep path to Oyndarfjodur.

Arrived after midnight because the campsite in Torshavn was full and we didn't have a reservation. The gate opens, and you can choose your own spot. Large campervan site with many campers, mainly locals. Toilets are fine, but we didn't see a shower. Large living room. 200 DKK. Someone comes by at 9 AM and 8 PM to collect money; you can pay by card.

Beautiful view. Basic amenities: two toilets and a shower. Spacious living room, kitchen available. We emailed to ask if there was space and received a prompt reply. Please note: payment is only in cash, in a 200DDk envelope.

great place for one night. Baker with fresh bread around the corner

At first sight messy, but with the picnic meadow at the stream still a nice spot. toilet building at camper place was closed, but public toilet 200 m in the village. I went 50 m past the official place, better view and also a bit flatter

Flat places, no facilities. For those who are autonomous, a good alternative to the camper place next to the hotel, but with a much nicer view. In the evening, the friendly farmer comes to collect €10. Same price per camper. Nice starting point for bike rides or climbing the Lilienstein. Recommended

A paradise in the middle of nowhere; at least: at first we thought 'where have we ended up now' but then you have to drive a bit further into the terrain. Cosy decoration, nice hostess. Starting point for beautiful bike rides

It is both camping at the farm (manure smell, the cows come by after milking) and a campsite with about 30 spacious pitches with shade. Sanitary facilities clean, a bit primitive. Bread service and farm shop. And lots of play equipment for children.

Nice place. Toilet at 50 m in the gym is open from about 8-17. There is also water, but no hose connection. You can also pay €12 via various apps, but be careful: set the time until before 10 am the next day, otherwise you pay €24. We bathe in the lake at the camper place. The village shop at 200 m is cozy and has everything. For walks and bike rides we use the Komoot app which works fine

Quiet nature campsite with places directly on the lake. Beach and nice swimming. Sanitary facilities not new but in order. Good starting point for cycling tours along the Schlaube and surroundings.
Sitecode: 106636
The place is not beautiful, but practical with water and electricity for a small fee. We really liked the free Klangpfad that starts at the parking lot. 1 minute walk from the waterfall
Sitecode: 101342
Nice place, but there are only two places. On the website of this Stellplatz you can see if there is still space.
Sitecode: 106240
Nice reception and fortunately still a place where all other places closer to the coast were overcrowded in high season. Sanitary facilities in order. Good starting point for cycling trips
Sitecode: 40808
Lovely and quiet place. Many picnic tables also under tarp. Showers in sports building at 150 m. Bathing in the Saale. Beautiful starting point for cycling tours. Various nice caravans for rent. €10pppn. Supermarket 500 m.
Sitecode: 14350
Everything you need, large pitches, friendly welcome, perfect sanitary facilities, take your own beer and wine from the fridge based on trust. The fact that there is no shade did not bother us on these sunny days.
Sitecode: 65606
lovely quiet campsite in high season. €17.50 for 1 night. clean sanitary facilities. Showers with coins. Manager comes by once or twice a day. Didn't swim because of blue-green algae, despite the outdoor shower where you can rinse off
Sitecode: 4009
Much quieter than the camper spot 300 m further on the harbor. only two other campers and all the space around us. Perhaps because there are no facilities here. We were happy to deposit €4 in the free donation column.
Sitecode: 101174
Best campsite we've seen in ages. Friendly hostess. Spacious, level pitches. Calm. Camping shop where the necessary is for sale. Clean sanitary facilities without hassle with coins and wonderful showers. Walking routes and maps available. On Sunday, the watermill can be seen in operation. Please note, this is one of the growing popularity of Tranquil Campsites in England where children are not allowed.
Sitecode: 100277
great place for an overnight stay. The pub serves meals from Wednesday to Sunday. Delicious food and nice service
Sitecode: 71146
Nice place to stand. Pleasant activity in the harbour. When we arrived it smelled like gas-oil floating on the water, but it cleared. You can also sometimes smell the seaweed processing factory. The big advantage is that there are no midges (no-see-ums) that bothered us on our bike ride once we left the coast. We have not found water. A shop around the corner (no beer, but wine)
Sitecode: 101724
The access road was closed. Temporarily? Permanently? So went to Cromane.
Sitecode: 49937
beautiful spot. We stood on the asphalt parking lot on top of the cliff. About 3.5 km west of Annestown and 500 m past the entrance to a private campsite.
Sitecode: 47018
Great place, quiet. Electricity, water, toilet was temporarily closed due to Corona. Pay € 5 yourself in the village 300 m away
Sitecode: 7356
Great place with beautiful views over the plain and the mountains. Toilet available. Buy a ticket in the shop next to the gas station in the village.
