A very quiet and peaceful place with a great view of the river. There are decent phone and 3g (and indeed 4g) signals should you require. Maria’s café near the bridge serves traditional Portuguese food at lunchtimes and can be very busy or exactly the opposite. Locals very friendly. All in all a great stop for a couple of nights or more.

A very small area big enough for 3 vans. The emptying point was a little restricted but was useful enough. The fresh water tap handle is missing but can be operated using pliers, BUT the water from both taps comes out a yellow colour and looks very unappetising. Not a very appealing place to stop. We didn’t stay but moved further down the road to Barco de Avila.

Very quiet area on the edge of town. Bars, restaurants and shops in town. Very good Fitero Co-operative supermarket in the centre of town. Tourist Information next to the monastery. Slightly sloping parking, with shaded picnic area. Emptying facilities about 100m away. Water or Electricity by token from T.I. (1€ for 100 litres or 1 hour elec). Water tap in the picnic area as well. Very pleasant.

An open parking area with lovely views over the surrounding vineyards. The town does have a shop selling a decent selection of grocery items but no boulangerie. The parking area is used for the school bus so it gets busy around 8 a.m. It also has a bottle bank which seemingly gets emptied at 6:00 on a Thursday morning. Very quiet otherwise.

Daytime parking is £3.00. Parking overnight is £15.00 which includes day parking as well. Overnight ticket is bought from the Visitor Centre. There is shower, toilet and emptying point in the compound for which you need a key (£20.00 deposit from the centre). Expensive for what it is.

I don’t understand the high rating for this aire, unless it’s the free electricity. It’s on a side street in a very small village with little to offer. It would be very cozy with 6 vans to say the least.

Big open parking area with good views. All facilities available. Can be busy during the day with cars but quiet at night, and a little quieter on the side next to the park. As said, pleasant park above and has the world’s only remaining continuous Roman walls, which can be walked.

Very busy border town, on our visit packed with French shoppers. So aire is very popular. No water tap of any kind so you need to use your grey water for cassette rinsing. Quiet overnight.

November 2018 and it’s still not finished. Nothing appears to have been done for at least a year. Despite being next to a road it is very quiet (even quieter than the one at the top end). It is also nearer to the town - just follow the path by the cemetary.

The site is nice enough but the number of toilets and showers are nowhere near enough for the number of pitches. There is as far as I could see only one fresh water hose on the whole site and no water taps near any pitches. They expect top price 34 or 36€ a night but only supply minimal facilities. Next to a very nice beach though.

Lovely open sea views from much of the site. Good provision of water and electricity. As seems to be normal for this part of the world it could do with more toilets and showers. Very pleasant restaurant by the beach serving food and drinks at reasonable prices. Toilet emptying and grey water drain is adequate.

Beautiful site, awful wifi. Paved parking spaces with decking, picnic tables and bbq facilities. Good views over the lake. Could do with more sanitary facilities but clean and work well. 3 wifi antenna which cover the site fairly well but the wifi connection was almost non-existent at all times of the day.

Delightful little campsite. Very friendly and welcoming owners. Slightly quirky but everything was fine - good sanitary facilities, good filling and emptying point (not all sites have facility for emptying toilette cassette!) Price OK and wifi good. We enjoyed it very much.

Very relaxed 'bohemian' atmosphere, like going back to the hippy trail of the 60s/70s. Lots of youngsters but very pleasant atmosphere. Bar serves drinks, no food, but bbq's and kitchens to use if you want. Sloping and uneven in places and would be difficult for 8m+. Walking distance to Vilnius old town. Space for 8 units providing no cars or motos are parked in the spaces! A different experience.

Despite rave reviews and it being brand new it has some drawbacks. The chemical disposal is already out of order, the nearest wifi points are not working and if it were ever full the sanitary facilities are not big enough (it has to serve the cabin occupants too). Whilst spacious, in truth it's a bit too big and the hotel is a good walk away. It has very few campers and it should be cleaner.

Small tidy site, quiet. Rustic sanitation but OK. Good restaurant around the corner. Close to lake.

Great little site with clean and modern sanitary facilities. A bit crowded on our visit with a Dutch NKC rally taking up half the site but nevertheless still very pleasant. The town was buzzing with a food and drink market on the square and there are plenty of bars and restaurants. Well worth a visit.

Quiet, clean, neat and well maintained site very handy for visiting Krakow. Bus one stop and tram 3 stops for old town centre. Bus and tram combined 40 minute ticket 3.80zlt. Trips to salt mine, Auschwitz and other places will pick up from here. Krakow is a beautiful city and well worth visiting. Longer stays are priced at 73zlt per day (inclusive).

A beautiful location with good restaurant but the downside is that it is just an open park with no security. We stayed (2 camping cars) one night out of season and we both suffered broken door locks after a 4:00am attempted break-in. Not recommended.

Quiet campsite well away from road noise. Sanitary facilities clean and spacious. Some pitches very uneven or sloping. Expensive (111 PLN per night for camper, 2 persons and electricity) for what is just a basic site.

On the edge of a small lake 9 pitches arranged in a semi circle with plenty of space. Electricity included at 6€. Water extra at 10c for 10l or 1€ for 100l - be aware you get good measure, probably more like 14 litres for 10 cents. You will need coins to pay at the borne. Cassette emptying and rinsing is free.

Quiet place on the edge of town. Electricity good value at 1€ for 8 hours. Pay at TI in the town.

Very pleasant campsite with good restaurant and easy access to the town by bus and tram. Modern and clean toilets and washrooms but you will have to leave your modesty behind for the showers. Pleasant lake views. Pitches not marked out. 3 different packages from basic (no electric) to exclusive including wifi and a free beer each (420, 520, or 610CZK).

Very pleasant stop at Fischof Park. Nice walk around the lake. Restaurant and café by the lake but town is easily accessed from the park. Do not park in the car park (this is parking for the court house) but park on the gravelled area nearby. No emptying facilities here, only in the aire on the edge of town.

Very quiet place. The water to the bourne seemed to be turned off (1st May), no water to rinse the WC drain and the tap for the cassette rinse had been forcibly turned off, at the risk of breaking it you would need a big wrench to undo it. Tea rooms and bakery on main street opposite town hall. Toilet by the town hall and also a drinking water tap next to the toilet cabin.

Overpriced. No bar, no café, a very few items for sale at extortionate prices. Dramatic lake view but probably not from your pitch and a severely restricted view at that. The site insists that you park one way, nothing else is accepted. Wifi is restricted to web browsing and emails and 30 minutes at a time - very poor in this day and age - and use of a VPN is blocked by the wifi. Poor value.

As aires go this would take some beating. It's nicely situated, no road noise with everything you might want. It has electricity, very good wifi, clean and well laid out service area, a small supermarket and washing and drying facility, apart from super large pitches. Just a pity the town hasn't got a bit more to offer. Well done to Plainfaing.

Nicely situated and fairly well laid out but expensive if you wished to shower there as well (2€ for 5 minutes). Nice walk over the canal and over the river into the back of town. The bar/restaurant by the canal was not open on the day of our visit (public holiday 1st May).

A large open area near the medieval village. Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and the village itself. Not much in the way of commerce in the old village but a short pretty walk by the stream (at the back of the information board) takes you easily down to the main road with a small supermarket, a boulangerie and two bar/restaurants. There is one bar restaurant up by the chateau in town. The service point is by the main road in front of the Municipal Camping. All clean, tidy and in working order at the time of my visit.

Large, flat, tidy and mostly empty parking area below the town. Good views from the castle but it has never been open on our visits. Town square (through the arch) has a few bars and restaurants. A very quiet stop.

Popular aire in a largish town. Quiet at night though. Good facilities. No problem for me with signal blockers.

Very nice aire on the edge of a lovely town. Old town is worth the walk. The bar at the swimming pool was not open at the time of our visit but there are plenty of restaurants and bars in town.

Has changed a bit since the early photos. Now has paved car park and boardwalks. A little bit of parking on waste ground outside of car park (could be soft in places if wet) or room on the car park out of season. Water tap at car park entrance, some toilets near Picassos if desperate.

Perfectly acceptable cobbled parking area. Quiet at night. Handy enough to walk into town and a couple of beaches, or to drive out to the lighthouse at S. Vincente. Cafés and bars nearby.

Plain and simple with good services. Little town with restaurants and a Coviran mini market. Beach with cafés (still open in October) about a mile down the road (driveable and ample parking).

Peaceful spot after the sports centre had closed. Park nearby. The services: tap connections are the unusually small type and the drinking water side was continually warm! The WC side water supply was that strong it nearly forced the cassette out of my hands and then soaked me through. Badly designed. Best parking is lengthways on the parking opposite the sports hall and swimming pool.

Very peaceful spot in a lovely part of Portugal.

We have been coming here since 2010. It is always a pleasure. Every year there are improvements and nice little touches. It was a great site in 2010 but it just keeps getting better. A pity it is so close to the road, it does not bother us though and it's a pity the road is not suitable for walking or cycling but the owners, Siebo and Catarina, are first class. Possibly the best site in Portugal.

No litter on our visit, quite sloping but fabulous views. A very quiet night spent here. The village is known for its topiary and the creations are very good and very well kept all through the village, particularly on the main through route.

Usually full of cars during the day but empty late evening. Night time was quiet. Caravan was still there fully connected up but he has his own connections so does not affect the rest of us. Everything working OK. Very handy for town, castle and bars/restaurants. If full during the day there seems to be plenty of parking on the road to Olmedo.

Beautiful place, very quiet with lovely views across country. Park either under the trees or go further down where there is open parking on grass. Basic facilities all working.

Very pleasant and well maintained aire. Nice to find free water these days. Lovely little village with shop, café and other outlets. Toilets nearby underneath the Salles des fêtes but are the sqatting variety.

Very pleasant aire with open views over surrounding countryside. Quiet and peaceful, in fact remarkably quiet given that it is behind a working bakery and not too far from the road. Direct access to the riverside.

In addition to the extra tap for drinking water there is now an overspill area signed for motorhomes to the right of the entrance. To access it though requires you to take a ticket and enter as normal but then in order to avoid the height barrier you need to use the exit road and then turn immediately right. Care needed. Well done Kent and Canterbury.

Stayed one night on the second lot away from the farm. No facilities but quiet at night. Nothing here but some roughly gravelled pitches and some bins. Not the prettiest place you will ever stay at but some decent views.

Nice little place. Friendly people, quiet location, services in good working order. Well worth a donation.

Be aware that you will need coins for the ticket machine (12€) plus coins for fresh water (unspecified amount but it does take all denominations??). We have been to better places for less money.

Clean, tidy, and right next to the lake but not much else to recommend it. If you camp by the lakeside it's a long way to the toilets and the reception. Free wifi only at reception, (200MB), wifi on the park is expensive, poor and does not extend very far. The 'beach' is actually an embankment fronted with large boulders but there are steps down to the water at intervals.

A pleasant campsite. Facilities a bit dated but clean. Free bus every 30 minutes (hour at weekends) from outside restaurant to old town/castle or pleasant walk/cycle by river and over pedestrian bridge. If reception closed book in at hotel. Very good wifi generally.

Great place for visiting Ljubljana. €2 deposit for bus card + €2.40 each for return journey. Toilet and shower very clean. Everything you would need. Wifi very good but coverage of parking area not brilliant. Three course meal nothing special but OK.

Great situation and a beautiful area. Too many places with low branches, too few electric boxes meaning you may need a long cable stretched across the roadway and too few water points (the one near us was not working - pitch 23). Could do with a lot more TLC.

Big site, even bigger now with addition of an extra 100 pitches (just opened). Nevertheless, very pleasant & in nice position. Bar & Pizzeria on site. More bars & restaurants in town. Wifi was off for 3 days, now working but is stretched when busy. Clean facilities.

Simple, clean and tidy camp site very handy for Plitvice NP. 130 kuna per night for camper and 2 people. The main washroom is split between men and women PLUS an extra single toilet that is labelled as a 'mens' but could be used by either. Shuttle bus is 60 kuna for 2 persons. Pitches are mostly flat, not very big but adequate. Restaurant 150m away, very good and very popular, reasonable prices.

Idyllic little site right by the water's edge. Beautifully kept. Very good, pleasant owners and excellent wifi. Handy for bus into Zadar. Bus stop and small Sonik supermarket about 250m down the road.

Intended to stay but could not find a space that was not impossibly sloping, small, muddy (OK it rained last night), or with electric hookup (too few for the site). Now at Camp Bear which is better and cheaper.

Very pleasant and clean site. Good restaurant and bar with reasonable prices. Site can be a bit noisy in places either from the road or football pitch side but all quiet at night. Stobrec village has a selection of bars, restaurants and supermarkets too.

Good pitches, mostly under shade. Fantastic washroom facilities. Wifi can be slow and use of VPN is blocked. Admin charge on first night and conversion rate is about 20% above ACSI rate. Reasonably priced bar and restaurant.

For the price and considering it's Italy the place is just adequate - nothing more. Tired and not particularly clean.

Clean, tidy, can be a little bit noisy but it did not trouble us. Good base for visiting Naples, Herculaneum etc. Good wifi. The worst part is travelling around Naples.

Great little site. Good bus service to Dubrovnik. Friendly staff, toilet block and facilities kept spotlessly clean. Wifi only at or near reception. Good size pitches but some trees can make it awkward in places.

Good views over the Rio Formosa towards Faro Island. Aircraft noise from early morning to late evening. Easy walk to the island and to S. Lourenço lakes. Good birdwatching. No facilities for emptying or filling. Tolerated parking to date.

Very small seaside village. It would normally be very quiet I assume but we happened to pick a night when there was a music festival going on in the fields behind the car park. Fee is payable at the campsite reception. Coins required for water (no cassette rinse without water being on). We did not stay this time.

Beautiful aire on edge of village. Very large pitches make it well worth €5. Unfortunately nearest bakery has closed but work being done to refurbish one in the square. Bread available from fruit and vegetable shops. Lidl at top of village on road to Bernay. Aquatic gardens in village and green way cycle track to Bernay on old railway line. Birthplace of Louis Fresnel, inventor of the Fresnel lens.

Excellent campsite run by a very pleasant and friendly Dutch couple. They are new owners in the last year or so having taken over from previous Dutch owners

June 2016. Pleasant pitches of varying lengths to suit all sizes of unit. Each pitch has its own water and electricity supply. Bar/restaurant on nearby campsite. It's a busy site and the only bugbear for me was that in the absence of staff during the day you choose a pitch that is vacant and not booked for that night only to find that you have to move the following day because it has been booked!

Overlooking the river towards the town which is 10 minutes walk over the footbridge. Very pleasant.

Large aire with good views over the Moselle. Electric points are towards the back. Pleasant small town with railway station 5 mins walk.

Nicely located aire. Pay and get gate code from Tourist Info first. Good free wifi from TI building. Town walk and Museum of beer. You can stay by the TI building if you wish.

Stayed 8 nights early June 2016. Very pleasant site. Well run, clean and tidy. Some odd sized pitches but most are plenty big enough for the average motorhome. Wifi is chargeable but long term rates are reasonable. Site seems mainly to be used by one-nighters but arrive early afternoon and you will get a good choice of pitches. Swimming pool and bar, small shop, + frites van. Town 10 mins walk.

Part of a large spa and thermal baths complex, with swimming pools and parkland. The co-ordinates take you to the main cash desk but the entrance gate is 150 metres down the road. Although there was a girl in the camp reception by the gate it was always kept locked - very odd. However it was very clean and tidy with good facilities.

Quite a large well kept site. Wifi not working at time of visit and two days of rain before we arrived meant we had to park on the pathways.

An idyllic location. The owners are very friendly and make you feel like part of the family. Many restaurants in the village and shops. Oludeniz and Hizaronu a dolmus ride away. The site has its own bar and restaurant serving a basic menu at a decent price. A Garden of Eden.

Small site but very clean and pleasant. Owner speaks very good English. Troy ruins within walking distance (25ytl p.p.) Camping is 50ytl per night. Meals here good but maybe a little expensive.

Stayed here March 2016. Good clean working facilities. Lovely view over valley behind the town from parking area. Cellar sells selection of local wines in bottles, boxes and plastic containers at reasonable prices. Very quiet and peaceful at night.

A lovely setting spoilt by difficult access. Visited March 2016. Water tap broken in the 'on' position but can be turned on and off by accessing the cabinet at the back. The parking area is particularly difficult with a large tree in the way. Easier to park by the emptying point. Very quiet at night.

Very pleasant and remarkably quiet. We spent 3 peaceful nights here beginning of April 2016. The Via Appia Antica on which this stands is also well worth exploring - leaflets (and bus tickets) from the cycle shop down the road. Not cheap but I thought it worth every centime. Very clean, tidy and good facilities.
