Long, narrow strip, two beautiful spots next to the bike path. Free, so that's nice, because almost nothing is free anymore these days. The center of Kevelaer is buzzing with Catholicism, candles, statues, and icons. Definitely worth a visit given the history behind this place.

Menno and Marieke are doing their very best to make something beautiful out of this. Time will tell. One hopes, for instance, that their dogs won't keep running loose. It is still very bare and open, so watch out for the wind. A great base for attractions such as Pantropica and the Weerribben.

Beautiful surroundings, friendly welcome. But: it's packed, the river is polluted, there are few toilets, so it's not clean, and there's noise from the road across the river.

This is no longer a campsite, but part of the camping-car-park chain. Very good, free hot showers in the French Ardennes. Safe, tidy, beautiful. Everything a camper wants!

Everything is there, taken care of by a couple who only speak Spanish. You are close together and you only have shade from your awning and the neighbor. Toilet emptying goes into a special barrel. You are safe, you pay 25 euros including electricity. But if you want to go to Santiago and then have a nice shower for €1 then you have to go here!

The view of the river and hills is beautiful. We were standing in the parking lot of the bar on Monday, when it is closed. It must have been busy yesterday, judging by the overflowing garbage areas. You can also walk over the dirt path on the left and then stand somewhere there? It does look bumpy and not flat.

You don't find them like that very often. But not suitable for large/long campers. Not flat, and you have to be a bit lucky which spot is available in terms of view and crowds.

For €30 per night you can expect more. Plus points: safe and reasonably spacious places and shower (you have to search which one gets warm). Absolute joke is the waste disposal area, if you only want to empty the toilet you have to walk half a kilometer….

There are spacious flat places and the fort and monastery of Tomar are within walking distance. But the old campsite is totally neglected and largely occupied by Portuguese who are on holiday here. So for 1 night near a beautiful location the stars, and that is generously assessed I think

It is dusty and dilapidated, but you are standing at an aqueduct and walk to the fortified town of Obidos. You can barely sit with your chair at the camper. For 1 night very fine!

We chose this place because we could cycle from here to the centre of Perigueux. That was very successful. Indeed a great place for an overnight stay and then continue traveling. Indeed it costs €12 per night. Pay close attention at the machine, I accidentally paid for 2 nights. There are campers everywhere, crammed in between them, causing showers (only open in the morning, paid) to be overloaded and toilet paper to run out. General area and sanitary facilities are very nice. And you have to empty your toilet here by throwing it behind a fence??? So you see how you look at it...

I hate to give only 1 star, but this field and these sanitary facilities are really unacceptable. We went to look at standing there after visiting the, otherwise beautiful, waterfalls at Husafell. Stayed here as a stopover from the West Fjords to the south. The only experience here is a replica of Erik de Rode's Viking house, which charges a lot of entrance fee. Participates in Camping Card, Electricity and tax together ISK 1333. Therefore two stars. On the road again tomorrow.

The location of the campsite is fantastic, on the edge of a true bird paradise. The campsite itself is ok, pitches neatly marked but not too big, partly because it is busy. Beautiful place, excellent facilities. Because Iceland is not cheap, the price is ok given the location. We were here from Sunday until Tuesday morning: very full on Sunday, much fewer visitors on Monday. As changeable as the weather. That was now whole, by the way. Good. spacious field, toilet building is not finished. A lot of rain today, so you can't go there with the camper, but the manager allowed us to park there at some parking bays along the campsite. He also runs the restaurant by the sea, where you can eat fries with a burger or chicken. There was now a festival, people must have fun here too. we were the only ones here on Ascension Day. In the middle of the rolling fields. Beautiful. Cycling to Leuven via junctions also allows you to enjoy the surroundings. Well, sometimes you have to be strict: a star for the rest, but actually too many negatives. Because you arrive (at the two palms!) in front of a closed gate and it takes quite a while before the owner/farmer comes to open it. Camper, electricity and dog must be managed according to the rules. When the evening falls inside because of the mosquitoes, breakfast is visited by many flies, and the bill: 10 + 5 + 2 + 2 way too much, no waste discharge possible!

The places are good, and you can indeed discharge everything. But it all seems a bit outdated. No English translation on the rules board either. So just press the red button and the barrier will open. It is a ski area, so go here with snow or when it is very warm. Less suitable for transit, the way there from Trento is quite a job. A nice COOP supermarket.

How some Dutch people can grumble. Unbelievable, because the view is phenomenal, the food is Austrian pure and good, and you have to respect the Austrian hotel culture. Please note, coming from the North, Google maps tends to send you into all kinds of small (gravel) roads. So when you get off the 182, first study the route.
