We were here on September 15, 2025, when two boys in a car passed by, their radio blasting music. They looked at us and waved, drove away, and after a while they came back. We didn't feel safe because we were alone, so we left for another parking lot.

Too bad, we often stood here but now it is too complicated to drive in and also much too expensive, the other parking lot at the campsite is exactly the same and both the campsite and the parking are too expensive and when making a reservation it is possible that the reserved place is occupied upon arrival, I speak from experience.

Stood here on 26/10/2022 Parking was full, asked if anyone would leave but everyone stayed. You can only stay here for a maximum of 48 hours, but if there is no supervision, 48 hours will not be taken into account. Waited 2 days at the edge of the canal but no one left. Jomarie

Been here on Dec 30. It is a pity that there is no explanation on a sign on how to drive in. First you have to fill in a form via the website, confirm and pay. You will then receive the barcode that is used to open the barrier by e-mail. It is a pity that this is not mentioned anywhere at the entrance. Jomarie

Very nice places (3) on solid ground, nice view to the French border. Close to the center of Ploegsteert (1 km). Beautiful area for bike rides. Armentières (France) at 12 km
