Lovely quiet spot. Approach is via a single track with passing places. Passing bays are large and frequent. Parking area is flat. Fresh water is available on the side of the visitor centre. Toilets are left open overnight. No waste facilities, other than a single bin. The site is not lit overnight. Visitor centre traffic starts before 8am. The overflow car park past the playground is quieter. Ticket machine is broken. Pay in the visitor centre

Site layout means that it feels smaller than it is. Toilet block is well kept. Reception sells essential food items - cash only for these. Friday evenings an artisan pizza van comes to the site. You can walk all the way to North Berwick via the beach so it's great for dog owners. John Muir way runs past the site for hikers. Mobile phone reception is virtually non-existent on site; excellent on the beach! WiFi hot-spot at reception. TV signal good
