We have been coming to Spekdonken regularly with our camper for a few years now. We have seen the camper site evolve from a simple, sometimes somewhat muddy, site with a basic sanitary module, to a nice paved area with grass next to the pitches and a nice sanitary building. We will continue to come here regularly; I just hope there is space. Actually, it is wrong to write a positive review.

Campsite at the beginning of the Stevenson hiking trail. Set up to support hikers (breakfast and dinner). Campers can also go there, and eat (daily menu 15 euros). Everything is fine. Walk to village is a steep climb. River is not really visible from the campsite.

Nice camping, everything is fine. A week wifi 10 euros. Bread service. Good information at the reception. Managers speak good English, and probably French but I didn't check that. When you arrive between 12 and 15:00, there is a sign at the reception with free places. Choose one and register after 15:00.

Great campsite stayed 3 nights. Sanitary facilities fine. Friendly staff. Bread service is also handy. Restaurant was a bit disappointing but maybe we met the wrong chef. Dessert was very tasty.

We stayed here for 3 nights. Great campsite, super clean sanitary facilities. Showers were great, you really have to add cold.. You can also adjust everything. I would fix something here and there. But I am picky, and it is France. That is why we go here. Very friendly managers and great service. Nice food in the restaurant. You can cycle well, and geocaching, along the canal. We will definitely come back here.

Agree with previous reviews. On the website there is a button to view current occupancy. We stayed here for two days and checked the button. Result: button is correct, is an exact representation of occupancy.

Great campsite. Reception was closed. Check-in and payment via internet, then the pitch number is emailed. Good restaurant within walking distance.

The 5-minute walking distance to the bakery, restaurant and supermarket seems optimistic to me. Guess time is running out for the car. I cycled for 10 minutes (electrically), walking will take at least 25 minutes. The WiFi was unusable because the router was constantly restarting. Otherwise a good campsite.

Actually, you shouldn't rate a good camper place highly, otherwise it will be full when you want to go there again... But this one is just very good. Can't add much to the previous reviews either. Well, using the aan.uit app. You will receive the sanitary building code in the app and by email as soon as you book a place. If you do not provide a bank number, you will receive an invoice by email at the end of the month. And then you pay it. Good system as far as I'm concerned.

Arrived at reception at 11:30 am. Reception was already closed (at 10:00 am). Were spoken to quite rudely by cleaning staff. Drove to a camper spot at Beaulieux-sur-Loire. Won't be back in Bannay again.

Arrived on September 20, campsite is closed. Appears to be renovated.

Great campsite. Good sanitary facilities. The old white building, from the 2015 photo, has been replaced. I have uploaded a new photo. When you arrive outside reception, find a spot and register later.

Stayed here for three nights. Typical French campsite. Simple sanitary facilities, showers ok. At the moment (May) no pizzas but bread service, is on the table next to the camper in the morning 🙂 Lots of trees, satellite reception can be a challenge. Owner sells home-grown vegetables and eggs from their own chickens. We liked this... Swimming pool was not open yet in May. Walking distance to village approx. 15 min.

Great camper place, everything well organized. We have done a geocache cycling route from here, but you can also choose from several other routes.

Great campsite. Stayed here for three nights with a bus camper. Close to supermarket, 8min cycling including crossing a busy road, and for cycling along canal (geocaches ..). We had no noise from the trains.
