Slightly complicated entry process especially if late and you've had a long drive but allows you to translate which helps matters. Feels safe and secure and pitches are large and level, was โฌ6 for the night which included clean hot shower room and toilet. ehu was an extra โฌ5 for 12hrs if needed. Only one other camper here, would definitely recommend if needing to break journey up plus there is a decent dog walk.
Sitecode: 41116
Perfect stopover, all the services except ehu for โฌ2 coin from local bar or grocery store, great walking and lovely old village of Cle'cy right by you๐
Sitecode: 26715
Large pitches, popular stopover and also a good bar/restaurant. Long walk into Salamanca 10km but definitely worth it! โฌ19 with acsi m/home dog ehu 2 people.
Sitecode: 100536
Everything here, clean and tidy and toilets also all for free! Electric for โฌ2 for 2hrs. Space for 4. Strangely nothing here but a big church and a privately owned manor house which is reputedly the oldest in Normandy! Great stopover ๐
Sitecode: 101455
Everything here including free ehu. Nice walk by canal and DIA supermarket just up from site. Absolutely perfect stopover! ๐๐
Sitecode: 98696
Beautiful surroundings and perfect pitches. Everything except ehu. Very peaceful. Perfect ๐
Sitecode: 63485
Nice plot that we chose ourselves and we had water and drain and ehu by pitch. Nice reception and short walk across the road and uptowards the beach. Very nice peaceful site and โฌ14.95 with acsi and also good wifi.
Sitecode: 63280
Having visited in 2019 I was totally shocked to find that all of the trees had been cut down!! Now just a sandy/muddy mess with no privacy! Showers OK and washing machine good and nice reception staff, also really close to the beach but a very sad place now so we moved further up the road to camping Luz which was great.
Sitecode: 25852
Very old sad campsite with a large section taken over by a tented village! Showers and toilets uninviting so used our own! Wifi by reception only and small supermarket near sea front. Friendly reception and good beach but then nothing! Maybe years ago it was something but not even worth a stopover now!
Sitecode: 12324
Lovely free and safe parking, busy on a weekend but fine in the week, all the services except ehu but that's OK for a night or two! Walking and a nice park with bars, great stopover!
Sitecode: 30084
Good stopover is all I can say! Town has nothing and historical old bit is just old! Not expensive but if you don't need services then a free one is best!
Sitecode: 52816
Dated but has everything. Sleepy horse town but rare to see any horses! Absolutely no hiking/dog walking in area but half price for seniors so great stopover.
Sitecode: 92656
A very neat and well kept site. Everything clean and tidy. Paula and Bobby are very helpful and a nice glass of wine on the terrace to watch the sun go down is recommended. Nice walking to the small town and surrounding countryside and if the sun is shining then even better, we loved it!
Sitecode: 60583
Great place to visit, super walking along old railway line and spectacular walks up in the mountains which dominate the skyline. Has all the services including ehu for โฌ6 which was collected each day by a man. Shower/toilet not available when we were there but not a problem if you have these facilities on board. Small shop across the road for bread and other items but nothing of note in the town.
Sitecode: 22988
Good free stopover with ehu and water, even has toilet and shower but quite dirty and uninviting. Good views and walking but nothing of interest. Small winery so bought some wine as stop was free.
Sitecode: 25434
A free stop on the outskirts of a small town, nice river and good for dog walking. Services but need a token. No ehu when we were here although there are points along the wall which suggests there might be occasionally. Good peaceful stopover for 6 motorhomes although if full very tight squeeze.
Sitecode: 49704
This is a great stop over. Park where you like, all the services are available and plenty of electric, all for โฌ3 which was collected by a man in the early evening. The town is pretty well dead though, nothing of interest. There is a small supermarket and a couple of bars within easy walking from motorhome stop, there is some dog walking on outskirts of town.
Sitecode: 57756
A lovely site with a great holiday feel. Tremendous walks from the site and a superb cycle route on the old railway route. The owners are always available to assist and run a great reception/shop and also have a kitchen that serves food. Choice of pitches (some large) and lovely river with bars/restaurants along front. Perfect location for a nice break.
Sitecode: 59360
Wow!! Passed the big campsites and came to this one, great decision ๐parked right in front of clear water river and swam in it, watched fishermen and nature. Nice pool and super friendly staff. Easy cycle into a fantastic town and lovely walking. Wish we could have stayed longer than the 5 days we did. Primitive showers but clean and hot. Perfect camping. ๐
Sitecode: 21892
Amazing free parking with all services except electric for free! Lovely grassy area by amazing woods with lots of walks. Just peace and bird song. Absolutely perfect.
Sitecode: 88700
Perfect stopover๐free electric and services (although water was off whilst we were there). Nice seating area and a very nice bar and shop at entrance. Nothing in the well kept town but a decent walk if you follow yellow markers. A lesson for all towns, thank you ๐
Sitecode: 57501
Lovely small campsite, pitches reasonably large. Showers slightly dated but clean, the owner is always working to maintain the site. Very nice pool and lovely lake with nice walks close by. A nice friendly town with a large ancient castle. Great place and well worth a stay.
Sitecode: 24445
Lovely stay here, very peaceful with very good walking up in the hills. The lovely owner cooked us a fabulous meal with wine for โฌ15 each. A really great find, thank you. ๐
Sitecode: 58703
What a lovely find! Right by the beach with superb facilities (best in Spain maybe) small supermarket and nice restaurant. Booked for 2 nights and stayed 7 perfect! ๐
Sitecode: 41536
Just a carpark in the Gorge, no walking or signal and just cars getting water from spout, no motorhomes when we passed so stopped for photos and water then moved on. No services.
Sitecode: 100024
A lovely "Free" Aire provided by the town. "Thank you" it has electric and water with tokens from local shops in the town and free wc cassette and grey water disposal. We parked further up as we didn't need ehu and had a lovely flat pitch which was really quiet. The town with bars and small supermarket is 5 minutes walk tops so buy a beer or something. There is a nice walk along the big river. A great stopover๐.
Sitecode: 12844
Second visit in 3 years and still superb! Nelly the owner is super helpful and we enjoyed eleven days over Easter and enjoyed the lovely pool (very cold๐) nice walking and 10 minute cycle to a lovely town. โฌ12 with ehu PERFECT ๐
Sitecode: 57925
Stunning scenery and lovely walking from the site. Pitches are large with some having water and drainage. Pool was closed and the bar is only open on weekends when the place is usually full. If you enjoy walking then it's a great place to visit.
Sitecode: 74403
Very impressive free Aire, water, grey waste and wc cassette. Lovely town close by and plenty of walks. Eight clearly marked MH pitches but huge carpark so no problem. The caves are a big attraction and there are many places to eat when weather is good and they are open. I wish all towns followed this example ๐
Sitecode: 100888
What a lovely place run by the lovely Tessa, once inside you see a lovely garden an amazing pool and a fantastic shower/wc area really clean and well looked after. Your dogs can roam safely off the lead and you are well looked after. Worth going out of your way for and I doubt you will find better ๐
Sitecode: 101035
This place is a bed and breakfast, you are paying โฌ12 to park on his drive with no facilities but this can be reduced if you agree to pay for his breakfast or possibly dinner!
Sitecode: 100196
The pitches are decent with water and a drain by each and for โฌ16 with ehu good value but have to mark down because of dirty toilet/shower area (so easy to fix) washing machine and dryer are good as is walking via nearby town (3km). Came for one night and stayed for 4 so good stop with great mountain views.
Sitecode: 10728
Great safe stop near town/shops. WC emptying plus grey waste and a water point (without hose connection) reasonably flat, perfect stop.
Sitecode: 52151
Spaces have no privacy and can be awkward to manouver the ground is gravel and hard to get on blocks for leveling. There is no walking as such except to an unimpressive town, many stray cats around! Washing facilities good/showers good. Many Spanish empty vans on site. You either love it or hate it! โฌ27. 50 with ehu per day. We paid for two but left after one!
Sitecode: 74610
We found ourselves the wrong side of the Dam and stupidly carried on down to almost the bottom in our motorhome!! Don't do it๐ฌ. We somehow got back up and went back to the main road and found a sign for la Brena, this took us to the activity centre (eventually) and we were told to stay as long as we liked๐. Great view of Dam and great walking, no services but most can last 2 days atleast. Very safe and quiet but this is March, perfect 10.
Sitecode: 27680
Unfortunately when we arrived it had been raining very hard for a few days and nights so everywhere was wet and muddy, that said the facilities were good, showers hot. There's no walking as such except to the town which is nothing special but you can at least stock up on things. At โฌ28+per night it felt expensive for what it was and personally I'd say a 1 night stopover at best.
Sitecode: 66424
Drove up and place was deserted and no signs to say it was a stopover, looked at past photos and stayed and later were joined by another motorhome. Lovely walk around park, dogs loved it. No services but flat and very peaceful and โฌfree, highly recommend if passing through.
Sitecode: 48000
The site is dated and the toilet/showers are in dire need of an update, it seems they're waiting for all of the tiles to fall off before doing so, it's also grubby but surprisingly the shower water is good and hot! The pitches are level but ehu requires the two pin adapter. There's a decent trail around site of approximately 3km so good for dogs, town looks ok and has small supermarket and bars, paid โฌ23.70 with ehu per night. 2 days max for sure
Sitecode: 1632
Very nice, friendly site, facilities are good and clean, wifi a bit rubbish, there's good walking around area and is reasonably priced, we paid โฌ36.48 with ehu. Well worth a visit even if just passing through.
Sitecode: 25434
Lovely find! Room for six only and if full then a bit of a squeeze, lovely surroundings and by town hall and river and easy walk to town. Entrance opposite fire station. Grey waste/toilet emptying but token needed for water. Perfect stopover ๐
Sitecode: 46472
OK for stopover and that's it, very quiet although there is a distant train track, there's a river and a reasonable dog walk, facilities were off but perfect for 1 night, no charge.
Sitecode: 24978
Great one nighter, interesting caves and good designated well marked hiking/cycling trails right by. No camping activity allowed which is a shame but perfect stopover.
Sitecode: 1805
This is more about the area than facilities of which there's everything but wc/showers. Park near exit barrier and it's a sun trap, walking, cycling, shops and probably the greatest beach there is. Perfect and before April โฌ10 including ehu.
Sitecode: 72305
Very quiet site, bays are large and reasonably flat with good views. We paid โฌ10 per night and electric was โฌ1 for 6 hours, there's a washing machine โฌ2 and the showers (2)are hot and clean the very small community of Valfarta is nice but absolutely no shops/supermarket of any kind although there is a bar so stock up before arrival. There's even a modern kitchen/oven/hob for use at โฌ2 the nearest town is only 10 minutes drive. Very nice stopover
Sitecode: 55820
A long and Winding mountain road that has a narrow bridge (2.7mtr) on it leads you to this place. It's a massive lawn with lovely views of the surrounding mountains and is incredibly peaceful, there is electric and water and a small building with a toilet and a shower (very cold), no wifi and miles from anywhere so go prepared, never found any walks and we certainly did try, nice pool and owner.
Sitecode: 40359
Nice stop over, pitches a little on the small side but โฌ13 with ehu (4 slightly bigger ones โฌ15 but taken) showers โฌ1 for 8 minutes and a nice social area with hammocks and bbq, there's a raised plastic pool which kids seem to like and the owner is very friendly and helpful and there's an indoor area where you can sit and even use toaster/coffee machine. Good walks nearby plus small town.
Sitecode: 26442
Good stop over for stocking up on things, large supermarkets nearby including cheap fuel and very large seaside town about half hour walk to front. The pitches are a bit small but sunny and service bay is very good, it has great wifi and feels very secure and there are some woods just around the corner for the dogs. โฌ13 with ehu, might need to pre book in high season as area is popular.
Sitecode: 63951
Agree with previous comment, this is a working farm and as such there are farmyard smells and milking (I presume) around 4am-6am which is a little noisy but it's Free! They like you to purchase something from the farm shop which seems fair and actually you probably would anyway as they have plenty of interesting things, very nice people and some very nice woodland walks outside of town.
Sitecode: 74722
Quick update, brilliant Aire as I've just said but didn't take much notice of very steep drive down to parking which is loose gravel but boy did I struggle getting back up!! It took at least 5 attempts and I nearly didn't make it, gravel flying everywhere and nearly bottemed out๐ I have a 3.4 Ton 6.2mtr van so not too big, be careful ๐
Sitecode: 74722
Great free Aire with all the services including free ehu (3amp) there's also toilets. There's parking for 10 but could easily fit more, it says no awnings but makes no mention of "No Camping activity" and so people had chairs out without any problem. It's reasonably level gravel parking but some might want to tweak it a bit. It's by the woods so great for dogs/walkers. Brilliant quiet stop over๐
Sitecode: 25145
A perfect stop over for a day or two or even longer, it's so peaceful and relaxing, has all the facilities ( very modern) including ehu and is only โฌ3 per day โฌ5 at weekend this is paid by scanning bar code and paying by phone (very simple) excellent free Wifi and perfect for dogs as river/woods right by, the town has two general stores and a few bars. Can't fault the place๐๐
Sitecode: 55935
This is a great aire only a short stroll to the sea front and bars and has everything, nice clean showers/toilets and Ehu all for โฌ12 a night, reduced the longer you stay or โฌ9 without ehu, even has a dog washing area ๐ the town of Alcossebre is pretty well unspoilt and it's easy to see why people come for a day or two but stay much longer, will definitely be returning ๐
Sitecode: 6516
Fantastic, all the services except ehu and if you park in the top parking area the views across to Morella and the castle are breathtaking and all for free!! The walk into town is approximately 30 minutes and we'll worth it with lots of winding streets and bars and of course the castle at the top (closed Sunday) I superb stop over๐
Sitecode: 24733
Lovely aire on edge of town, all services except ehu, even has a very clean toilet block which has showers run off solar panel. There is even a BBQ area and they have put wood aside for its use๐small store in town for bread etc but only open for 2 hours each morning, lovely walking and great for cycling but town very quiet and no bars/restaurants open when we visited in mid May๐ค
Sitecode: 12844
Wow, what a lovely place!! The owner Nelly has a lovely villa with a pool and let's you stay on her land which has lovely views and walks and is only a 15 min cycle into town, all this for โฌ12 Inc ehu and use of the pool, fabulous will certainly be returning ๐๐
Sitecode: 47932
This is a small site right by the via Verde so great for dogs and cycling, it is more suited for MH under 7mtr because of trees etc. We had the site all to ourselves for 5 days and the owner Chimo was very friendly and helpful. It has a shower and toilet which are pretty decent but not sure it could cope well with more people. You can cycle into Villena (6.5KM)which has everything. โฌ19 with ehu.
Sitecode: 50507
Lovely site just a few km from Sax, the owner Helga is very friendly and speaks excellent English and is very helpful. There is walking nearby. Pitches are decent size but are a little tight for manouvering, wouldn't suit large MH. Has a nice pool and even an honesty bar but has only one wc and 2 showers which when busy could be annoying. The Wi-Fi around the pitches is very poor. Worth a visit.
Sitecode: 62327
Parked on large pitch sideways so very private, not all pitches are quite so big. With acsi it was โฌ18 a night with ehu (10amps) the place is a sun trap with a lovely pool (shut whilst we were here end of April) can't really fault the place, excellent helpful manager, bar on site and incredible walks, stunning scenery and local shop and bakery. Spain at its best.
Sitecode: 63714
Agree with previous reviews, 10 places all with individual grey waste drains, water tap and electric to suit different plugs and absolutely FREE!! There is a toilet block devided for male and female that is clean and tidy and each one has an impressive shower with plenty of hot water. A bread truck turned up around 9am, nice town a short walk away, best stop over ever๐๐
