the municipal car park has been redeveloped, there is now a free reserved area for campers with CS and 4 dedicated stalls, there is a fountain for drinking water in the area. Personally, I found it noisy due to the constant coming and going of cars since it is an exchange parking lot for cars and buses of workers and students. For the night I recommend the parking in via Dino Bertini very quiet with a view of the river.

If I have to rate it: I give 10 to the location and to the helpful staff, instead I give 2 to the truly third-world toilets and showers, camper service outside the campsite and in the middle of a landfill!

Attention !!! throughout the municipal territory there is a ban on parking and parking of motorhomes (municipal ordinance of 2022), it is clearly a discriminatory ordinance and contrary to the Italian laws that regulate the parking of motorhomes, this ordinance must therefore be canceled as it is illegal , in the meantime I recommend using the appropriate structures in order not to incur penalties.

Excellent rest area located at an altitude of 500mt 1.5km from the town center, cool at night due to the currents descending from Etna, several shady pitches and beautiful panoramic views of the volcano, somewhat improvised but average services for the area , difficult uphill access for vehicles over 8mt.

This large parking lot on the sea has been used as a heliport, it is still possible to park in the Lido Recanati car park, no service is present and it remains to be checked in high season if possible to stay overnight.

May 2022 I phoned to ask for information, the manager's response was that the area is not operational and they have been closed for two years.

This car park is no longer accessible to campers, follow the signs for the Porta Nuova car park which is located 500 meters towards the center, we found it convenient for visiting the beautiful town, overnight accommodation possible, no service, cost 20 euros per 24h.
