We wanted to try spending Christmas at a thermal spa this year and ended up here. It's a comfortable campsite for 50 motorhomes with plenty of electrical hookups, a container with separate sanitary facilities for men and women, water and waste disposal, and sinks. Okay, toilets and sinks on the site are a bit scarce, but you can use the sanitary facilities in the thermal spa during its opening hours. The campsite is quiet and well-maintained.

It's actually a parking lot, but four spaces have been taken away for the benefit of motorhome drivers. Motorhomes are apparently allowed to spread out into the parking spaces if they're full, although doing so can incur a fee. The official motorhome spaces cost €16 per night. IMPORTANT: Tourist tax must be paid separately per person at the bowling center or information point in Quedlinburg and placed behind the windshield for verification. Electricity is required.

A place that develops its own unique charm in autumn. We arrived in the dark and took up our spot right by the entrance. There were already two campervans there, so we joined them. "Check-in" is done via a machine. You stick the printout behind your windshield. We were lucky enough to meet the parking attendant himself, because that's when we discovered our parking ticket had come loose and...

It's actually quite a nice spot, right on the Elbe River. Unfortunately, there's not much going on on the Elbe anymore, and when we parked there, there was absolutely nothing. This campsite is the owner's second business, which will increasingly become the main focus. The pitches are arranged in a herringbone pattern on good old concrete slabs used for tank roads, and you can roll out your awning in front of them and relax.

We arrived, parked the campervan in front of the barrier, and walked around the site. There was still a space available. Meanwhile, an employee approached, picked up a cone, and placed it on the exact spot we had chosen. We hadn't given the friendly woman enough attention as we passed the sanitary block. After we introduced ourselves, we were finally allowed to set up camp.

A spot, somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Here you'll find pure peace and quiet on a campsite where you park on the grass. The pitches are large enough for comfortable camping. A basic pitch costs just €14; if you want to use the sanitary facilities, it's an additional €3 per person. Electricity is available for €3.50 per night. We stumbled upon a spot that's probably more interesting for windsurfers and kitesurfers. Since the wind conditions here are said to be unique in Europe for these activities, those simply looking for a swim might find it a bit lacking. There are swimming spots, but they're rather small. We've had plenty of swimming on this holiday anyway. Otherwise, you can take a lovely walk along the beach, and if you get hungry, you'll find some nice places to eat.

Actually, it's quite a nice campsite. The pitches are large enough to really get that camping feeling. The beach is separated from the campsite entrance only by the promenade road. Like many others in Croatia, the beach itself consists of large stones, but it also has a lot of sea urchins. The promenade offers many restaurants with a wide variety of cuisine. There are also several small shops and stores located there.

A place you can fall in love with. It's a lovely spot where you can enjoy peace and quiet by the sea. The manager showed us a few available pitches, and we chose one whose approach seemed affordable, which it was. Getting out was a bit more complicated because another camper was parked awkwardly. The sanitary facilities were there and clean. There's also a unisex shower.

The first thing I can say is: the price/performance ratio is abysmal. I arrived, armed with a map, and started looking for a "nice" pitch. We only stopped by briefly to check this spot and were surprised to find it was empty. It's baffling, the location is quite good, and the price of €20 (according to reviews) is actually fair. It was probably due to the off-season. And remember, motorhome drivers greet each other.

This place really brings home how closely light and shadow are intertwined. It's our first time in Albania, and we were conflicted from the moment we crossed the border. We'd only ever seen such a "littered" country on television, and now we were there ourselves. Even the drive to the campsite made us doubt whether we'd stay long. We wanted to visit Zadar, and this campsite was one of many in the immediate vicinity. We had a choice of four sites and opted for the one right by the entrance and exit. The ones closer to the sea were all far too small for us; they seemed more suitable for vans or guests planning a longer stay. We made this decision after inspecting the site, its location, and the leisure activities we expected.

My secret favorite on this trip. The first place we visited in Croatia this year, and a real winner! We had the Adriatic Sea right in front of our campervan, separated only by a small cliff. The steps leading down to the water were just 3 meters from our campervan door, the weather was perfect, so we started our camping trip in an unusual way and went for a swim right after coffee. There are two sanitary blocks here, a small one.

The second campsite on our way to Croatia, which we spontaneously decided to visit and where we managed to snag a spot. We paid just under 40 euros for the night without electricity, but we've stayed in better-maintained places for that price. The sanitary facilities were clean, but there were a few cosmetic flaws here and there. The next morning, we had to struggle through the skylights and pick the branches off the roof that had fallen during the night.

This campsite was only chosen as a stopover, but it's possible to stay longer. Most pitches offer a lovely view of the lake, thanks to the terraced layout. The sanitary facilities aren't the most modern, but they are clean. Furthermore, the campsites are very well-maintained. Unfortunately, the lake had a slight blue-green algae bloom during our visit, so we had to wait until the beginning of our holiday.

After carving out another long weekend for a short trip, we headed to the Malter Reservoir this time. Hoping for better weather, we decided to go to a lake. After a quick check, we went to this campsite and were given a choice of three pitches. So, out came the list. One pitch was occupied by tents, and the one closest to the lake, which was our favorite, was then...

You can park here if the weather is good. We were here in terrible weather. Our motorhome was parked in front of the barrier, and the reception was still closed. A friendly lady nevertheless gave us the opportunity to explore the site and provided us with a key to open the barrier if needed. Due to the weather and the resulting reduced value of our stay, we returned the chip to the mailbox and moved on.

15 euros per night including electricity, 13 euros without. Those who rely on a toilet and shower get a key for the sanitary container for 3 euros per night. You choose your own pitch, either on the grass or the ones at the back on the pavement. Payment is made via an envelope attached to the container. Otherwise, it's a fairly quiet location, and Koblenz city center is quickly accessible by bike. And Koblenz really shouldn't be a problem.

We wrote to them, but received no reply. We tried calling several times while we were out, but to no avail. We arrived, went to the reception, and explained our request. Supposedly, all emails had been answered. I haven't received any, and messages like "spam folder" don't work. Our second attempt to do something good for the Camping-Car-Park consortium. We left Verdun quickly; this site made a more positive impression. Unfortunately, only because of the reviews and the view in front of the barrier. So we went up there without further ado and took a plot, but it was so slanted that we took one with a less pleasant view. The plots are mostly not particularly flat, and the rest isn't necessarily the best either.

Here, contrary to our usual practice, we reserved a spot online and paid immediately. Upon check-in, you have to pay the tourist tax. This meant that a night for a motorhome including two people came to over €40. The price is justified given the proximity to Paris, but it's too high for the site and especially the sanitary facilities. There aren't enough toilets and showers for the number of pitches during peak times.

Our second campsite near Verdun, which we visited on this holiday, and it's a good thing the first one wasn't for us. From the friendly welcome to the spacious pitches and the pool, everything was top-notch. Okay, the sanitary facilities aren't up to the standards you'd expect from Germany, especially the building upstairs. The fact that they don't bother with glasses in France only partially benefits nature. The best thing here is...

We called, there was still space available, we asked Google Maps for the route, and from then on, our 15-minute journey almost doubled. We drove to the bridge and turned toward the campsite, not through the residential area. Check-in was relatively easy, we found a spot, chose one of the available ones, and then paid, and that was it. The restrooms only look a bit dated from the outside, like an old barracks, but inside they're quite new and clean. The pitches are

A clean, fairly new-looking site at a reasonable price. The sanitary facilities were clean and in very good condition. Upon check-in, you receive a card that opens the door and gate and is used to pay for services, depending on what you've charged, such as electricity, laundry, etc. You can also get exchange gas bottles here, which are, of course, more expensive than at a hardware store, but not at a price.

We received a friendly welcome, but unfortunately, there was no room for us. The manager personally advised us to either get a parking ticket in front of the campsite and live with the noise from the motorway, or park across the street for the same price of €9.50, but in a quieter location. The latter option required €0.50 each for use of the sanitary facilities; at the campsite, you could use the facilities with just a few simple steps.

We were thrilled from the start. We called, had about two hours to go, and reserved a spot. We arrived, checked in, and because of the rush, quickly drove to the discount store, then settled in. We took a quick coffee break, strolled around the campsite, and checked out the beach. So we grabbed a pizza at the beach bar, changed clothes, and went swimming. The beach isn't particularly big, but it's clean and not completely unclean.

This was where we felt we had reached our lowest point. Construction site or not, but we didn't see any of the advertised system here. Parking was done on the larger grassy areas, as everyone thought was the right thing to do. The same goes for the advertised disabled-accessible facilities. You can only get into a washroom via a step that's even higher than a standing step, and if you go to the second washroom, which allows ground-level access,

From our arrival to our departure, we felt very comfortable here. We received a friendly welcome and, armed with a map, were allowed to inspect the available pitches. We made our decision and settled into our spot. The area is simply beautiful, and from the campsite, we had wonderful views of Lake Achensee, the Rofan cable car, the steam cog railway, and the Achensee boats. For cyclists, there's a great path around Lake Achensee.

We had chosen several sites on the way to Innsbruck, and this was the first one. After we had mastered the somewhat narrow approach, we were warmly welcomed by the groundskeeper, and after a brief check-in, we were given a few tips for leisure activities. We were allowed to choose a site from among the many very pleasant ones. Otherwise, the site is very well maintained. The sanitary facilities were always clean.

We visited this spot first because it's closest to Lake Königssee, and we didn't regret it. The first night, we stayed at the "Triftplatz" and, while strolling across the site, realized that "The Mountain" is a better and quieter spot. The Königsseer Ache can make quite a racket, especially when it's been raining, like it did during our stay. So the next day, we went to the groundskeeper and asked if we could move.

This is the second parking space we've visited with this company. After Vienna, we were drawn to Salzburg this time, and we're not as enthusiastic about it as we were about the first one. The internet suggests sites in different categories, but that's not the case on the site. There's only one price category, and this is, of course, the more expensive category. You also pay an overnight stay tax of €3.05, although

A parking space, or rather an overnight spot on or off the road south. Here, you park on one of the eight official gravel sites. If these are full, you can apparently spend the night in the parking lot in front of it without penalty, but please pay. ;-) This seems to be tolerated, according to a camper who has apparently found his home here. You can park and spend the night here in a very quiet location, and you also have the option of using the toaster.

From our first contact at 11:38 a.m. (according to the GPS, we'd arrive at 11:51 a.m.), to our check-in at 11:53 a.m., our extension of our stay by one day, and our departure, we felt comfortable and warmly welcomed. Despite the tight time window between our first contact and the staff's regular break, we were greeted very warmly and checked in. And we booked for one night with the option to extend.

Well, what can we say? A parking space at the Aqualand swimming pool, chemical toilet disposal, and electricity cost €1.50 for 8 hours (supposedly 2.4 kWh per hour). Fresh water is available for €1 per 5 minutes, which, according to the website, is about 75 liters. Wastewater disposal is supposed to cost €1 per 4 minutes, but we weren't interested in where or how, as we didn't really need to. From April 1st to September 30th, you pay €8 per 24 hours.

The place is quite OK for a stopover. The site costs 20 euros for one night, including tourist tax. Electricity is available from the dispenser for 0.80 euros per kWh. 100 liters of water are available for 1 euro, and greywater disposal is free of charge. After driving to two sites that didn't appeal to us or were even closed, we found this little gem. If you arrive at the right time, you'll be parked facing a hedge and have the marina right in front of you. Check-in is self-organized. You take a questionnaire from the RV compartment, fill it out, put cash in the envelope, and drop it off in the mailbox—that's it. The restrooms were clean.

A large campsite that probably benefits somewhat from its proximity to Obelink. But this is only for campers like us. We were looking for a place to stay after visiting the camping equipment retailer and found this one and booked online. But upon arrival and exploring the site, we had a completely different opinion. The site manager is full of ideas to make this place stand out as something special.

Our email inquiry prior to our arrival was answered, but by then we had already left. That was the only thing we didn't like. On the approach, our navigation system chose a route that wasn't suitable for our vehicle, so we called quickly to find out that there was space available. Yes, it's possible sometimes. The reception was very friendly. We reported to the reception and explained our request, then the barrier opened, and we could choose a seat. No sooner said than done. A pitch provided by the rowing club. It's actually only a spot for three RVs in front of an old garage (or storage area for rowing boats) on asphalt. Leveling with chocks is absolutely necessary. The sanitary facilities in the clubhouse can be used and are included in the fee of €12 per person. Electricity is also included. Water can be refilled using containers you bring with you, and trash can also be disposed of.

We parked at the parking space in Schwante; there's also one belonging to the Plentz bakery. In the evening, we checked into our spot, got information, and then wanted to pay. If you've always wanted to camp at a nudist campsite without getting naked, you can do it here. We were looking for a place to park in the evening and were politely greeted late into the night. Due to the weather in early March, we even got a spot close to the lake. We were then shown around the campsite before the extremely friendly groundskeeper left us to our own devices. The campsite fee was €24 for the RV, including two people.

Nice municipal parking space at an outdoor pool/swimming pool in Freiberg for a maximum of €13.50 per night. The daily rate is cheaper for longer stays. Payment is either in cash via self-check-in, at the pool, or via PayPal with your license plate number. There is officially space for 19 camper vans, but caravans are also permitted, although a towing vehicle costs €3 extra. It's relatively quiet and can be used during the opening hours of the camper van.

What positive things can I say here? The opening times, you can check in until 11 p.m. Ordering bread rolls works really well. It's quiet and the location is of course fantastic because of the nearby attractions, especially in Bad Wildbad. But the price of 40.15 euros (without electricity) is pretty steep for parking the RV for less than 24 hours. And now that we're slipping into the negative, the place is OK, but when it rains you can get a bit of a nap.

Once again, an example of a "motorhome-friendly city". Simply pave a piece of unused land, install power columns and a waste disposal station and, as a luxury, add a sanitation hut, and you're done. Planned stop, just not here. But it wasn't bad, just more expensive than expected. 35.80 euros, of which the town of Waren takes 10.80 euros (they collect the tourist tax for every day, so one night = 2 x tax, I've never experienced that before) as a "tourist tax", and that for less than 17 hours. When we visited, the traces of the previous season had just been removed and the pitches filled with gravel. The sanitary facilities are clean, well designed and also offer rooms for people with disabilities, family bathrooms and a double shower, probably for couples. The site looks well-maintained, Prague can be visited in different ways.

Parking space on the outskirts of Vienna with good public transport connections to get to the centre by underground. The station is only a few minutes' walk away, as are shops and restaurants. The parking spaces themselves are on grass and large enough to extend the awning. At least for every second vehicle, otherwise it could be tight. Sanitary facilities are available and clean, but if it is fully booked I can imagine traffic jams in the morning.

Parking space at a motorhome workshop. You have to reserve online first and after paying by credit card you are given permission to drive onto the site and choose a spot. There are 2 containers on the site, each with complete sanitary facilities (except for a bathtub), a drinks machine, a small seating area, electricity, water and, as a little gimmick, 3 Trabant cars in the carpet. And remember, motorhome drivers greet each other.

Once again a parking space where a lot of effort has been put into the design. The parking spaces are arranged in 3 rows in the middle of which is the sanitary building. The spaces have a paved lane for the camper van so that you sit on the grass in front of your home. The sanitary facilities are also very nice to look at and are clean. There is a pizzeria right next to the site, and a small shop with a bakery is also available.

Private parking space near Banja Luka. We had a good time here. We didn't sleep so well due to the proximity to the road. You can buy the essentials nearby and if you like you can also go out to eat. The bus stop to get to Banja Luka is about a 10-minute walk away. The place is OK and at 20 euros for the mobile home and 2 euros per person it's not overly expensive. The beach was about 50 meters from our site and the path to it was only separated by the promenade. And this has it all. Countless restaurants as well as souvenir shops. We were here early enough to get a spot. In the evening there were a few mobile homes at the campsite reception, which was definitely not nice. The pitches themselves are spacious and equipped with electricity and water. There are several sanitary buildings on the site to keep the distances short for everyone. There is a pool (what is that for?), several restaurants in and around the campsite, a small shop, bakery nearby.

We almost drove past here when looking for a campsite and that would have been a shame. After the site manager spotted us, she came straight over to us, looked at the length of our vehicle and showed us a spot that we liked. We set up, drank coffee and then explored the site. This place is once again something special in terms of location. You park your motorhome in the first row right by the sea. Unfortunately, there is not much of this charm left in the second row. You can stop here for one or two nights, especially since a walk to the harbor, the city or the Nehaj fortress will provide some entertainment.
