It used to be free for a long time, but due to the abundance of campers, it's now a paid parking lot. It's still a great place for walking and cycling.

It's a shame about the prison-like atmosphere. We've been coming here since the beginning because it's a great base for walking and cycling. The first owner, Jeanine at the counter, was okay, and after that, Prospex was also nice. Now the atmosphere has gone. Depending on the vinegar consumption of the man behind the counter, the welcome can be pleasant or a bit more sour.

It used to be a great place. Now it's quite run down. Many electricity poles have been removed, it's not maintained, and most of my colleagues live here on holidays. Nothing wrong with that as long as they try to keep it a bit clean. Still great for walking and cycling.

For the hearing impaired and visually impaired that might be ok. What a crowd. next to the camper place there is a quiet and almost empty car park. Why didn't they turn that around. It would be much quieter then. Never again for us.

Quiet parking without facilities. Nice walking and cycling. Finally a place without showers, toilets and other misery.

With 9 meters I don't fit there. Fortunately there are enough free places nearby.

What a gem. We have been traveling with the camper for + 30 years and in the past this was more common. No facilities, lots of peace, walking and cycling. Hopefully the next visitors will keep it tidy. No waste, no trace of the camper. We don't need more.

Was a nice place but with 9 meters it is not convenient anymore. Many walking possibilities. Too bad but we will not come back.

Still a nice place with the Beagles. Peace and daily many kms walking. The reaction of Mr. Van der Togt about the number of dogs is embarrassing. We have been traveling for +30 years with camper and a whole pack of dogs. Never had problems nor caused nuisance.

Max 3.5 T is at the entrance. This is not mentioned here or on the website. Then just stand 100 meters further where the weight is not a problem. Why can't the restriction be mentioned anywhere?

If there was one more star. Quiet, many walking and cycling opportunities. Several dogs are welcome and there is a small off-leash meadow. All necessary facilities available. Price including electricity is OK for us given the location.

Nice place but as always too expensive due to the nowadays 'necessary' options. 28 years on the road and still no need for a toilet, shower, etc. I think we will stop using the camper thanks to the new generation of 'camperers' who are screwing everything up and wanting more and more luxury.

Lots of noise, a replacement Platzwart that follows everything with the cigarette in the mouth and just throws it away in nature. Waste bins are overflowing and are therefore unusable. €9 is a good price, but I prefer to give a little more to friendly people. So don't worry and go 6 km further ahead earlier than planned.

1 dog and €2 per additional dog. Are they also going to let them out and feed them? We quickly drove a few km further, where several dogs are welcome.

The place is not what it used to be but the racist comments that have been posted are way over it. The municipality of Gangelt has decided that the previous operators were not allowed to continue. Still a great base for walks and cycling.

We've been coming since the motorhome is open. This weekend there is a caravan and due to the crowds, they put campers on unforeseen and therefore also paved places. With all the problems that entails. So push and pull. Thank you Gemeinde Gangelt.

Dogs are welcome it says but when we arrived with more than 2 dogs in the camper and we were refused. Then back across the border to D. In the 30 years that traveling with the camper and dogs never had a problem. Then adjust the site and indicate the maximum number of dogs per camper. Saves a lot of frustration on the bride side.

Too expensive now and still that terrible gate that is closing. Maintenance as before by Prospex. Friendly and correct German welcome. The advantage of the price increase and the takeover by the municipality is that there are now more places available and that a certain audience is no longer coming. The regular customers are back in any case.

There are a few diversion places added, which increases the capacity on busy weekends. Think that there can be a total of 35 campers. Hopefully also a winter permit so that we can enjoy this beautiful place all year round.

According to the municipality: if it is fully operational it will be 12 € / 24H. Is a fair price given the accommodation and location in the center. Very quiet at night. VVV + departure hiking and MTB routes nearby. All shops within walking distance. Think it will start to fill up quickly. Great place for dogs to let out. Wooden bridge over and so into the forest.

On a busy track and few opportunities to walk longer distances. Nothing for us and after a dog with the dogs but passed on to a quieter place. Amenities and everything ok. We prefer to stay in green and very quiet and remote.

Places full of cars. Far too small places for a camper (unless bus camper). Turn 9 meters and do not turn clear. Not worth the name of the camping site.

Prima Restaurant next place whose owner is also a camp instructor. No amenities but what a calm and beautiful walking and cycling environment.

Still no permit. Thanks to the competent Flemish minister. Previous layout was a lot better. But remains a fairly quiet place with lots of walking and cycling opportunities.

Very nice and quiet place. With a 9-meter motorhome succeed without problems (can be up to 10 meters). Or narrow as you 3 state. Walking and cycling opportunities. Very friendly neighbors with regular neighborhoods and about the dogs. Public toilets at the tourist office are out of season open from + - 9 to + - 16.30. Thanks to the municipality. We will gladly return.
