First appearances are not great as it is compact - really packed in - and the pitches are squeezed together. However, it is well organised and very friendly. The toilet block has been refurbished and is kept spotlessly clean. The pitches are also flat and shielded from each other. So the place grows on you. We stayed 2 nights and would have stayed a third but for the weather. The restaurant needs to open earlier to catch more people.

I am sure that in the high season, with the pool and restaurant, this site would be wonderful. However, at Easter our experience was poor. The welcome was good, but we left early because the site is full of (20-30) feral cats who, with stray dogs, knock bins over and scatter the rubbish. We arrived to find bins overflowing, and it was worse, and scattered by the cats, when we left. Facilities were only partially open, and toilets had no locks

This is a lovely campsite, beautifully maintained by a very friendly and helpful couple. The facilities are excellent and the pitches well laid out and generous, all with 16A electrical connection (but you will need an adaptor). The site is off a quiet road and beside a river - very peaceful, and good walking in the area. The cost with electricity was €31 per night and we were able to arrive at 10am, having arrived on the ferry at 7am.

A very useful place to stop for the Duoro. Regua is the centre of the Duoro river trip industry, and we took a 6 hour cruise to Pinhao and back, including lunch on board. They have increased the number of MH spaces, but during our visit (early September) it was full by 4pm. It is great value at €3 a night including electric, and the chap that runs it is very helpful. We stayed for 2 nights.
