Not an idyllic spot, but it's fantastic that you can fill up with water for free, dump it, dispose of your waste, and even connect to electricity! The water station was still operational at the end of October. Shops nearby, very convenient.
Sitecode: 8285
The site looks unkempt and is noisy, but it's fenced off, which does inspire some confidence. There are also long-term campers and mobile homes that are permanently occupied, with lots of clutter around them. Didn't use any of the "facilities." The central section of the campground is paved, and that's where most of the campers who actually travel are. A good base for Middelheim Park, which is fantastic, with so much art, and free access, even with a dog!

Great free spot, no amenities, thanks to the municipality! Information board for walking and cycling at the CP. Busier on weekends due to the recreation park. Quite a noisy spot, construction going on in the park and at night on the football fields. It's great to do the brickworks tunnels walk from here (17 km). There's also plenty to see and do in the recreation park, great fun for kids too. Significant investment has been made here! Fancy a mega ice cream? Go to the Grote Markt in Boom.

Everything is perfectly organized here. You can choose from grass or paved (crushed stone), sunny or shaded. Because the campsite is located on a small peninsula, many pitches are right on the water. With good weather, they deserve 6 stars 😇. Price for a campervan without electricity: 380 kroner. Showers (max. 7 minutes) for 25 kroner 😳. But it all looks spotless, like a hotel.

Beautifully situated between two swirling glacial rivers with a view of Nigardsbreen. Just before the toll road to the glacier parking lot. Excellent Wi-Fi. The sanitary facilities date back to the Middle Ages, but the water was excellent. Unfortunately, there's no washing machine or graywater disposal point, but there is clean water available. There are also 9 hiker's cabins. A beautiful location, Breheimensenteret is a 0.5 km walk away. But the price-quality ratio is ridiculous. We didn't see a manager; check-in is via QR code.

Small campsite, open 365 days. Beautifully situated, in a valley on a river. A few wooden huts, tent and further camping pitches with sun/shade, campers for 1 night reduced rate. Sanitary facilities functional and really French. Everything a bit messy. Common room, reading material, route maps at reception. Many hiking possibilities, beautiful views. Alpine skiing. Restaurant nearby, open every day in the afternoon. Museum and agrishop at 100 m.

On the 2nd opening day of the season we settled here (many French campsites are still closed at Easter) and because of the enthusiastic welcome, the great location and the peace we stayed 4 nights. You can make beautiful hikes, visit the caves of Saint Christophe. Never before in France seen such beautiful sanitary facilities. You have to be patient for hot water. Water pressure low so filling the tank takes a while, but we are on holiday! Chartreuse: beautiful!

We drove here in March 2025 with great anticipation, but it was difficult to find the location. At the mentioned house number no one present. A person in the neighborhood pointed out the CP. This is a kind of driveway next to a plot with grapevines. There are 2 ramps on the grass. It borders immediately on the road of concrete slabs. Surroundings very beautiful, hilly. Could possibly become a nice place in the future but now we just drove on

Sitecode: 72813
What a fantastic spot! Via the path you drive over grass to the slightly lower concrete slab on the river Loison. Nature and peace, there is also a concrete picnic table and benches.

it is very dirty here and the tap and payment terminal are broken

Lovely place, just what we want. We do discharge at home, since we live in Zeeland. Great for a weekend away. Meal collected at Hof van Tholen, a different theme every week. Recommended!

Sitecode: 92800
Where can you find such a beautiful affordable place in Zeeland, with a beautiful view and a friendly volunteer harbor master? Contrary to what I read here, you can pour your toilet, consult the harbor master. We were here in Feb. 2 nights.

Enthusiastic hostess, for every camping pitch there is a folder full of leaflets, walking and cycling maps of the area. Everything here is neatly taken care of and also adapted to the C measures. Half of the places were taken during the autumn holidays. We will be back for sure!

Everything a person needs to be happy during the holiday: possibilities for rest, walking, cycling (bring insect spray!), Exhibition, terrace, etc. Chateau du Bouchet to visit. Cycle tour No. 2 done, signposted, from Maison du Parc. Great food here too. And beautiful exhibition until Sept. of more than 10 artists who work with paper. Nice manager visits 2x a day.

Nice spot for motor home, tent campers and hikers, but very busy. Sanitary neat, possibility to do the laundry. Owner wants to have complete control over the placing of the campers. But there are no signs, so she's running around while cleaning the gites. Arrival only from 2.30 pm. Departure before noon. Real camping rules, not the freedom of a CP.

Sitecode: 86165
Beautiful small terraced campsite at the farm. Nice hostess. Everything neat, you can run a laundry for € 3, -. Located on GR 68. Nice walking area. On route des fromages.
Sitecode: 92550
Cozy place in residential area but close to the Basilique and some terraces. An archaeological excavation at the door, which serves as a dog walking area. A neat looking public toilet and trash can at the CP. We didn't stay there. Great if you are passing through and have no further wishes.
Sitecode: 21048
Everything neatly arranged here! Meanwhile a bit more overgrown than in photo. Berry bushes and apple tree in your "camper garden", nice. We were passing through but have been at the top of the village, cozy with terraces and you can visit the ruin.
Sitecode: 18904
Large place with 30 campers. Pretty busy place, very nice if you are out with children. You can rent a pony and walk around the lake, pedal boat or mountain hike. There are also apartments nearby. And a small food truck was there. We have seen more authentic places in the Pyrenees.
Sitecode: 69865
Fantastic location, as a starting point for mountain tours. Recommended is to Lac de Pouey Laun, 4 hours there and 3 hours back. Or to Arrens via the gorge. Bring bug spray! CP has no facilities (anymore) only waste containers. You do hear some noise from the power station and from cow bells. Service place is in Arrens.

Bit of a lack of atmosphere, but great basic cp. You thus connect to the 10 km long hiking route along the Canal des Ardennes, which runs along 10 of the 26 locks in this channel, through unexpectedly beautiful valley and via Montgon back. Le Chesne is an agricultural village. On Jan. 1 there was no chicken on the street here. A picnic table has been placed at the CP and there are waste bins.
Sitecode: 15778
Great place to stand if you like walking and cycling and are self-sufficient. Please note that in the hunting season parts of the forest are sometimes closed off, this is indicated in the walking overviews in the village. You can eat delicious crêpes and galettes in the trendy restaurant “la fille du boulanger”, opposite the tourist office.
Sitecode: 10478
I stood on this CP in the New Year night, with about 15 campers. It is always special that you do not see anyone outside the campers. Now it was also very cold. But despite that, a working faucet! That is quite unique, because many CPs shut off the water in December. Great place for self-sufficient motor home owners.
Sitecode: 19135
Access from terrain is messy, it takes some searching for the facilities here. Nice view if you can stand on grass along the edge of the fjord. Washing machine. and dryer available, use 20 NKr, per app. Museum at Tourist Info is beautiful, Steinpark is recommended. Very nice: murals by Gaute Haugland that can be seen in the vicinity of the CP. Walk to waterfall and along beautiful Baronite.
Sitecode: 23074
Super place, the marina has been expanded with a new pier, where campers can also be and where there are 3 columns with electricity and water. There were 17 campers on 1 August, but there could easily be a lot more. Lots of picnic tables and a covered place to sit. Neat sanitary. Many opportunities for hiking and fishing. Cost incl. Electrical. are NKr 150. Shower free.
Sitecode: 28651
Note: One camper after another comes to find a spot here, but unfortunately, this is not a motorhome (anymore)! There are prohibition signs everywhere. You can only park here during the day if you go for a walk.
Sitecode: 18869
Where do you have to go if you arrive at 2:00 am in the high season by ferry? Not here at least, CP packed. Difficult to drive out in the dark .... Facilities not further assessed. But it didn't look very attractive, little hut. We finally drove on to Skien.
Sitecode: 19969
High season, and still place! Beautiful spot on the Telemark canal. Sanitary fine, but you do need coins for the shower. Dirty water bucket is difficult to dump, is at a height.
Sitecode: 28387
Neat station with possibility to take in water, with hose that is neatly stored in a cupboard. Discharging dirty water above pull-out drawer, ingenious. Toilet also discharged. Also cleaned our windows.
Sitecode: 9880
Farm with rental of all kinds of party carts. We were here in transit, as the only guests, on the meadow. Excellent schnitzels in the Gasthof. Friendly owner. Short walk in the neighboring Natürschutzgebiet Oppenweher Moor, certainly nice to enjoy a bit more. In the area there are 5 cycling routes along art and places of interest.
Sitecode: 46113
Beautiful place, in the autumn holiday we were here with only one fellow camper. No facilities, but waste bins. Wonderful to walk here via the GR34, and along the Trieux.
Sitecode: 2160
In the Christmas holidays of 2017 stood here for the first time with 7 campers. There were no facilities to use then. Now in the autumn holidays back to this beautiful place ... What is our surprise! There are about 120 campers! Now the water supply was in use. You are surprised that there is no traffic jam. Beautiful area for walking, cycling and eating out.
Sitecode: 23551
Beautiful motorhome on the harbor. Neat free public toilet, even in the autumn holiday equipped with toilet paper. We have 15 km. via the GR to Pors Just walked, with beautiful sea views, a nice walkway along beautiful houses, through fields, on beaches and through forests. Back through the interior. Fine meal at "le Grand Larce". Such spots make your holiday a treat.
Sitecode: 1185
Beautiful place in the bay at the plage de Palus. There were 6 campers when we were there in the autumn holidays. Waste bins for separate collection, public toilets. Play garden, petanque, restaurant. Limited service; only discharge dirty water.
Sitecode: 51287
Excellent service place on the D789. Near this place you will find a (new?) Motorhome at the Chemin de la Croix Jacques, with 6 paved places, at the bottom of the water tower that you can not overlook.
