Small mixed parking area at end of asphalt road. Walk directly onto a superb white sand beach. No facilities but beautiful spot if you don’t mind wild camping. Not really suitable for large campers as turning and parking restricted if the area is full - it got quite busy in the evening when we were here but quietened when day trippers left.

Location is completely wrong - do not follow Google maps. Eventually found a signpost to the campsite but after following it we never actually found the site. The website (I think it was the right one) actually says it’s temporarily closed. We moved on.

Fabulous site in the beautiful Peneda Geres national park close to river/lake in very natural surroundings. Plenty of shade if you want it and some motorhome pitches towards the back have views of the lake. Lovely restaurant and shaded terrace open all day and serving a huge variety of food plus well stocked shop. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. We paid €19 per night - van, two people, one dog and electric. We’d definitely come back.

Great campingplatz with fabulous views and nice level pitches. Toilets and showers immaculate (1 euro tokens for showers and electric available from machine at entrance) although showers don’t offer much privacy. You pay for your stay at the machine but you need to check there are available pitches first as many are reserved in advance - each pitch has a little box next to it which shows the next reserved date. We would definitely come back.

Now €10 per night from April to September. Still worth it in our opinion as location right next to fabulous beach and pretty harbour, coastal walks and some really nice little restaurants. However, only downside is it quickly filled up in the evening with cars parking to go to the restaurant and/or beach - parking right in front of the sign saying ‘Camping Cars only’. And this is with a (height barrier) free car park right next door…. go figure.

Beautiful, peaceful spot alongside the canal - hard standing for vans but some spaces taken up by cars. Bins and water available but no other amenities. Lovely walks or cycle rides along canal each way. Idyllic!

Convenient for town, just a few minutes walk - large area with plenty of space. Toilets and picnic area, water and waste disposal - road nearby a little noisy but otherwise good.

€10 for 2 hours and a ridiculous €30 to park overnight. And that’s with no amenities whatsoever and parking in an ugly bus car park.

Mixed parking with very small tight area for campers. €8 to park for 3 hours then a FURTHER €15 if you wanted to stay overnight! Convenient for the town but what a rip off - they didn’t get our business so neither, sadly, did the shops and restaurants in the town.
